Relax in a waterfront location that features quiet, solitude and wildlife!
This unique beach house is located in Cape Meares, the best-kept secret on the Oregon Coast. Located on the Three Capes Scenic Drive, just west of Tillamook and a few miles north of Oceanside, Cape Meares is a quiet, beautiful little town that features a fabulous sandy beach. The beach is known for driftwood, shell hunting, agate hunting, kite flying, tidepools and caves to explore at low tide. Additionally, there is a fresh water lake, which is stocked with trout and popular for fishing, kayaking, canoeing or sailing. Your dogs will love it here - they're welcome for a small nightly fee.
The house is perfectly located between the ocean and lake, making it truly surrounded by water. There are water views from every window, as well as the front and back decks. In the mornings, enjoy breakfast out back with sunrise over the lake, and in the evenings, treat yourself to drinks on the front deck while watching the sunset over the ocean.
The updated house features two large bedrooms, each with queen beds. The downstairs master has it's own sink in the bedroom and the upstairs room has an additional twin daybed. The large bonus room upstairs has a large TV/media center, puzzles/games and three other twin beds (one turns into a queen when you pull the trundle out) - it makes for a perfect kid room!
The great room downstairs features a 60" (yes, 60"!) flat screen TV, with a DVD player and iPod docking station. There is a cedar wood sauna in the downstairs bathroom, perfect for warming up after playing in the ocean!
The fully stocked kitchen has recently been updated and features a dishwasher, oven/stove, microwave and luxury items such as an ice cream maker.
There are kayaks & boats available for use to go fishing, crabbing or just plain having fun on the lake. Life jackets are provided for your safety.
This home is ideal year 'round. Enjoy the warm months outside on the decks, exploring the beach or on the water in a boat. In the winter you will love to curl up on the sofa near the Pellet stove and enjoy the incredible views out every window. This is the perfect storm watching house!

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Great stay for two days on the coast. Our family loved it and it was the perfect size for us. Clean and cozy with views of the ocean and lake.
Love the location, ocean and lake. Nice house, comfy and clean. Liked the sauna.
This house was in a nice spot - between the river and the ocean so the views were great. The closest town is Tillamook which is about a 10-15 minute drive. Good spot for a home base to explore Oceanside, Short Beach, Netarts, etc. The couch in the living room needs to be replaced.
Great spot for a relaxing get away
Property was perfect.
As mentioned above, the family/ dining/ kitchen area of this house is SMALL. We were OK with 2 adults but I don't know how a med. sized family can fit in there other than just to sleep or take shifts eating. The shades did not work to fully see the view, unhealthy pots and pans- bring your own, inadequate insulation in a portion of the house (freezing). The partial view of the ocean out the front windows , ones that you could see out of, was nice and the view out the kitchen window of the bay was beautiful but the neighbor's place is a mess, kept that shade down. The one couch in living area has seen it's day. Nice access to the beach but at high time very little access at all. Overall disappointed.
