After renting our first beach house in the early 1970's, the family wanted their own piece of the Southern California Beaches to call home!

Excellent family get away

My family and I loved this property-it was the perfect setting for our first 7-day beach vacation. I can’t say enough about the experience or the property. I felt completely at home the minute I walked in with the windows opening allowing the ocean breeze to fill the main room. The view-breathtaking. The bungalow was appointed with everything we needed for the week-all we needed to bring was a swimsuit and sunscreen. There are beach chairs, body surfing boards, bikes, sand toys and an umbrella in the garage. The owners are fantastic. They even had a parking space close to the property saved for us when we arrived to check-in. The location is perfect. The beach was never busy, even on the weekend. It’s close enough to the Newport Pier to ride bikes when we wanted to be close to the action, but far enough away that there was nothing to do but relax at the shoreline or on the patio as my six-year old grandson played nonstop in the sand right outside the patio. At the end of most vacations, I’m ready to head home, but on check out day, we squeezed out every last minute we could-we did not want to close the gate and walk away. If you are looking for a wonderful home for your Newport Beach stay, this is it. Enjoy!

A must stay family vacation!
We just got home from our wonderful beach vacation at this rental property. We stayed 10 days and can’t wait to return. We arrived at the house for check in and the property exceeded my expectations. It was clean, the view was breathtaking, and the house is decorated adorably (beach vibe decor). We are a family of 5 and the house was the prefect size for our family. My fiancé and I had the master, our two youngest boys each had their own beds in the guest room, and the couch pulled out to a queen sofa bed in the living room. We were all comfortable in this home. Speaking of comfort, the bed in the master is amazingly comfortable. Being pregnant, I have not been sleeping well lately (aches/pains) but I couldn’t stop raving about the bed. My fiancé joked that I spent most of the vacation sleeping! The location of this property is perfect. I loved that it is directly on the sand with no boardwalk. Having the boardwalk means people walking, riding bikes, etc past your property at all hours of the day/ night. We didn’t have to worry about this. The location is so private! Having young children I felt completely comfortable letting them go out to play on the sand without me. The gorgeous large windows allowed you to see everything all the way out to the water. The view never got old! The property offered tons of beach cruisers for our use. With very active boys it was nice to ride to the donut shop, pier, and around the neighborhood. We brought scooters for the boys and the Newport pier is only 1.7 miles from the house. It was the perfect distance for a short ride to breakfast, lunch, or some ice cream! There are also multiple parks in the neighborhood walking distance from the house. When we wanted a change of scenery my fiancé and I took a longer ride over to Huntington Beach approximately 3.7 miles from the house where we went to lunch, shopping, or a change of scenery. The location of this property is really perfect. On the weekend, our friends came to spend the day, bbq, and hang on the beach with their kids. There are two hotels directly across the street, walking distance, for guests to stay and not have to drive home the same day. Our friends stayed at Solarena and next door is Newport Coast Inn. There is also a liquor store directly across the street with groceries and anything you need. You really could rides bikes everywhere you need to go. We barely used our car at all! I am looking forward to making this an annual vacation!

Overall not worth the price,least favorite beachfront experience
We stayed Dec.23 2018-Jan.1,2019-9 nights-It’s a good unit,great view and beach access. No dedicated parking,crowded public street parking if available. I would be more specific in the ad for laundry it’s a coin-op shared laundry not in unit(I wasn’t expecting to bring quarters) First few days we were a bit on edge with the mice situation,definitely some clawing in the walls of bedroom but didn’t hear after 3rd night. We enjoyed relaxing quiet time for 2-3 days after that,till the arrival of upstairs occupants for the remainder of our stay. It’s quite loud from downstairs with heavy foot traffic and the sliding patio door at all hours. It was quite awkward to relax on patio with people overlooking you on their patio,so we didn’t really get to go out much. And having people from the upper unit come on the lower patio(which is suppose to be for only you)right in front of main windows,always walking through ,hanging out and using bbq made us keep the shades down and not enjoyable or comfortable to lounge privately inside or out watching the ocean. Wasn’t the romantic ,relaxing nor quiet private week we were hoping for. Hope this helps for future guests.
I am very disappointed that our property did not meet your expectations during your stay with us. For over 40 years we have provided a quality pride of ownership property to all of our guests resulting in extremely satisfied vacationers, positive reviews, and guests returning over 65% of the time. Our family ownership is always available for any concerns our guests have during their stay, and is diligent in addressing any requests or needs they may have. Unfortunately, our interaction during your stay never included any of the issues included in your review, thus I was not aware and unable to assist. As indicated to you at check in, we had resolved the one time issue with pests from a neighborhood construction site, and can confirm the property is completely free of any intrusion. Our beachfront property has two separate units on site, with the large patio available for beach access and the washer/dryer located in the garage available for guests usage. Although disappointed in your review, all of our guests input is valuable and I will share your message with the family management team as your comments reflect a position we have never experienced before. It is our goal to always make our guests feel like family and provide the best possible beachfront experience.
Great beach house
We had a great stay at the beach house. It was perfect for our family of 6 and had everything we needed and more. The location was amazing and Gary was very accommodating. We will definitely be booking our next beach getaway here.

Our beach front property is on the cleanest and best beach in Newport....without question! Step off the patio and you are on the pristine sand. Step out on the street side and you are immediately on a walking/bike path that can take you south toward the Newport Pier or north to Huntington Beach. There are numerous greenbelts outside the property facing the street and several small parks with numerous recreational activities. Balboa Island and the fun zone are minutes away. The Newport Harbor area is a quick bike ride to experience the many different boating/sailing/water opportunities. The numerous Newport Beach restaurants are as close as across the street, or within 5 minutes depending on your tastes! Fashion Island Shopping Center, Corona Del Mar, and the Newport Back Bay is just minutes away. Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and Anaheim Stadium are a 20 minute drive. John Wayne/Orange County Airport is less than 15 minutes away. Welcome to Southern California's premier beachfront community...Newport Beach!
