We bought this beautiful log home in 2008 and have had many wonderful vacations here, enjoying the outdoors and relaxing. We love roasting hot dogs, marshmallows and making s'mores/choco-biscuits (a family favorite :) around the fire pit and playing basketball, Bocce ball, riding bikes, and running and playing in the backyard. We love to fish and hike and have had many opportunities to do just that! The scenery at the nearby Bryce Canyon National Park and Cedar Breaks, etc. are so breath taking and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Make sure to take a camera! Panguitch Lake is wonderful and has boat rentals. We have taken the entire family on a boat and all the older grandkids were able to catch a fish! On one of our adventures to Bryce Canyon we even found a Geocache, which was very exciting. All around, we absolutely love to get away from the city and enjoy nature and the great outdoors here at our RED ROOF RETREAT!!
Kevin Roberts purchased this cabin in 2008
We chose this location because it is central to so many National Parks and lakes (you can even ice fish in the winter), and we absolutely love the quaint small-town atmosphere of Panguitch, Utah!! We had toyed with the idea of buying a home here for many years, and jumped on the opportunity to buy this beautiful log home...the RED ROOF RETREAT, we call it! The towns people in Panguitch are some of the most friendly people we have ever met. They treat you like family from the minute you say hello. We now have our favorite stores to visit and restaurants that we can't wait to enjoy! There is even a pizza delivery if we can't pull ourselves away from the most comfortable sofa we have ever owned! All around, it is a beautiful, tranquil, amazing setting and we absolutely love it!! Can't wait to get there ourselves :)
Adventure, exercise, family fun, fishing, site seeing or relaxation your choice.
We had a youth retreat up here and it couldn't have been more perfect! The place was nice and clean and cozy! It had a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of space and seating and those front and back porches were awesome! The owners are so great to work with! HIGHLY recommend this place and would love to stay here again!
We LOVED our stay at the Red Roof Retreat! It was the perfect size for the 12 of us (2 families of 6). The large fenced in backyard was so much fun for our kids (babies through age 9). We visited Bryce Canyon (30 minute drive) and Red Canyon (10 minute drive) and loved them both. It was so nice to be close by so we could take the little ones home for naps and others could go back to hike more. The kitchen is large and extremely well stocked. Everything was clean and well maintained. And we especially appreciated that we weren't expected to clean the whole house before we left- just take out trash, turn off lights, strip beds, etc. The steep stairs were the only negative we could think of about this charming house in the pleasant town of Panguitch. We didn't want to leave!
Lots of space to spread out indoors and out. Extremely well equiped kitchen. Very kid friendly , great for families. Joe's market nearby has all essentials. Quiet neighborhood. Cozy country style decorating. Good comfortable beds.
We loved staying here. My five-year-old grandson called it "The Lodge" and thought it was amazing. The yard is huge, the house is unique, the kitchen has everything you can imagine for preparing delicious meals, and everyone slept well. We will definitely come again!
We stayed 2 nights. We were two families (11 pers, 4 adults, 7 children) and the house is perfect, very spacious, clean, nice garden. Kitchen very well equiped, we could sit all together around the dinner table.
Bryce is very close, at only 15 mn drive and it is very pleasant to stay in Panguitch rather than an hotel at the exit of the bryce NP, with all the tourists. We used the fire pit, BBQ,... Thanks
Merci Kevin
The house sleeps lots of people comfortably. Take your time going down the stairs! House was super hot one day (in August), but the rest of the days were comfortable. Owner is very nice, place is very clean, and with a big party, the instant water heater is a plus.
Bryce is awesome, and Red Canyon has lots of wonderful hikes.
Thank you for letting us stay.
There is plenty to do like Fishing, Hiking, Hunting, Ride ATV's Site, Seeing and much more. Winter time you can go Ice Fishing, Hunting, Snowmobiling or you want you can just relax.
