My husband and I wanted to own a little piece of Walla Walla after only visiting it once! There is something truly magic about this place - or maybe it's something in the wine? Either way, the wine, the food, and fantastic people make it one of my favorite places on this earth. I hope you fall in love with Walla Walla as we have during your stay here.
We really enjoy going out to dinner and it's so nice to be able to walk to every restaurant in town - in heels! The location of this home is why we bought it - you can't beat it. It's so easy to access the highway, and EVERYTHING is within walking distance.
We had a lovely 22nd wedding anniversary/wine-tasting visit in Walla Walla. This was a great location & a sweet hoe to call our for the weekend. Thank you for having us!
For other visitors we recommend:
-wine tasting at Maison Blue (downtown)
-a dinner at Saffron
-Gluten-free treats from Fine-ly Made Bakery
-Pack a lunch to eat on the deck at 3 Rivers or Waterbrook or Pepperbridge Winery.
-Stroll down the main st. @ 2nd Ave for some good tastings
Overall this place was great for a crash pad for wine tasting. You are 1 block away on foot to the DT tasting rooms. It will fit up to 4 people but please note that the pull out bed is in the living room and the rest of the space is pretty small. It could use some updates and the backyard needed some care. We were in Walla Walla to drink wine and eat food not hang out in a cottage-so with that in mind it was perfect.
Great place full of the comforts of home. Accommodating owner who takes care to make sure you are comfortable. Downtown Walla Walla is only a few blocks away.
Interior is cute, clean, and more than met our needs.
Exterior - not so much. The house is on a very busy street which is difficult to back on to. The backyard needs some tlc; the grass had not been cut (too high for our dog to walk in) and the yard furniture was too dirty to the use. Had we been staying longer, I would have asked the owner to deal with the yard issues (but, we shouldn't have to).
The house was centrally located for wineries in the area.
A lovely dated property close to down town and business. I needed a place to work from until I found a suitable long term rental. This property was fully stocked, everything worked bed was comfortable as were the furnishings.
Owner responded in a very timely manner to any all questions that arose. I would stay here again and recommend this property to friends.
The house is very small with one bedroom but has absolutely everything you need. One bedroom, a bathroom, living room, and kitchen and dining area. We stayed for two nights and didn't feel like cooking, but it had everything we would need if we had decided to. The air conditioning was on when we arrived so the place was nice and cool when we arrived. Jessica was very helpful and communicative. The wifi was strong, and the TV had netflix. We loved how close to downtown the house is, and we were able to walk everywhere. The only negative thing, and this was no fault of the owners, was that the people next door own a several dogs which did bark a bit. Not so much that you couldn't sleep, but I did note it. I would definitely stay here again, though.
My friend and I visited Walla Walla for a weekend to mostly go wine tasting. Let me start by saying that Jessica is a great hostess. She made it clear that she was available at any hour, she was prompt with replies to emails and texts and volunteered a lot of information on things to do, restaurants and other tips. We took a few of her recommendations and they were excellent. We informed her the time we would be reaching and the AC was left on and we pleasantly entered a very cool, welcoming home.. it is these little touches.
The house is a cute one bedroom very walkable to everything. Everywhere we wanted to go was a hop away. It was clean, neat and well-stocked. The house is laid out like a wine country rental. There are multiple wine glasses, pourers, openers, aerators and everything. The decor is also wine centric. We loved it.
