2nd stay for me at this hideaway in Saugerties NY love it.
Found this rental when seeking a pet-friendly rental while visiting with family in New York. We were just looking for a reasonably priced place to stay and ended up finding a gem! The apartment is large, clean, and nicely decorated. The views from there are lovely, the whole area is charming, and the village of Saugerties is a mile away--lots of great shops and restaurants. The apartment is above a marina shop, and there are boats, trailers, and vans on the property. There's also a killer view of the water, a wooded trail that leads out to the Hudson, and a friendly German Sheppard mascot. We weren't disturbed in the least by the location--if anything, it added to the charm. Our host was welcoming and helpful, and we're looking forward to staying here again.
Stayed here with my wife, Mom and 2 kids on our trip to NY to visit family. Great apartment upstairs of the main marina building. Plenty of comfy space for all of us after a long, delayed flight. Air conditioning worked well for our non-humidity ready bodies and everything was very clean, including grill, washer/dryer, kitchen and bathroom. Nice big couch in living room and the apartment was very easily accessible with great communication from owner. At the end of the road in a very quiet neighborhood with friendly folks around but also a quick jaunt from the village. Close enough to bike or walk if you're active.
The real bonus to this property is the owner's hospitality. He is often on site and available at the marina and gave us a great tip for a family hike that ends at the river. Our kids loved checking out the boats at the marina and canoe/kayak use is included, although we didn't quite have the time to take advantage (maybe next time!)
Relaxing, low key, excellently maintained, looked after and unique.
Pretty much just what we were looking for!
This is a working marina so there are plenty of parts/boats in various states of repair about the property. We thought this added to the character and uniqueness of the place, although I guess some folks might find that off-putting. Whatever, they can go stay in a fancy b&b for twice the price. I'll stick with Casey's place at the marina!
The appartment was clean, spacious and very well appointed to ensure my daughter and I had a comfortable and pleasent stay in Saugerties. The location was quiet but very convenient to local attractions, shopping and entertainment. Would definately stay there again. Thank you.
We decided to leave the chaos of Jersey/New York City for Valentines this year and My husband and I, my cousin and his wife, stayed at this location for a Valentines weekend getaway. First of, let me start by saying, we made a great decision booking this marina apartment! It was beautiful, clean and spacious for 4 people and a small dog. The colors and decor are so welcoming! Even though its the winter and it snowed, we still had an amazing weekend. Had a romantic walk to the lighthouse and even used the grill outside & grilled burgers in the snow. The apartment has everything you would need, from kitchen supplies to a lot of towels and linens. Most COMFY couch ever by the way! All you need to bring is, food and clothes. Not like us who brought everything and ended up forgetting things :( but aside from that...we definitely want to come back for the summer and enjoy the canoes and kayaks, and the views. The owner, Casey, was a pleasure to work with while booking this and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for everything!
Unforgettable Valentine's Weekend!!
