The house is on approximately 2 acres of land and located on on a dead end residential street (very quiet.) It was lovingly built in 2004 by the 1st owner who was a sales person for Donghia, the fabric and furniture showroom in Manhattan. Her attention to detail and quality are one of the reasons I choose to purchase the home. There is a gunite pool next to the home positioned to gather as much sun as possible throughout the day. The front lawn has plenty of room for game playing as well as in the backyard. The backyard has a hammock for relaxing and reading the paper which can be delivered to the foot of the driveway. There is also a trampoline for when you want to work up a sweat or just get your willies out!
Inside the house there is a great room with a sofa and 2 chairs. The dining room is also part of this room. The dining room table has a leaf and can sit 16 people easily. The room is furnished with a comfortable mix of the old and new. Color abounds and nothing is overly precious. Just loved for its quirky quality. The beds are extra comfortable!!! Like climbing into a warm cloud. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The 1st floor has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and the 2nd floor has 2 twin beds with extra mattresses under the beds. This is where the kids sleep. Their bathroom has a shower, the guest bath has a large claw foot tub with a shower and the master bath has a rain shower in a generously sized stall. There is a large walk in closet in the master bedroom and regular closets and dressers in the other 2 bedrooms.
The location of the house is also a plus. The house abuts with a land preserve with trails for walking, riding and horses. It's equidistant between East Hampton Village and Amagansett Village, walking distance to Jackson Pollack's house and the Springs General Store.
The house is a great value for the price! You will see from the pictures that you can easily enjoy yourself and find lots of moments to relax and soak up spring, summer, fall and winter. If you have any questions please feel free to write or give us a call.

We are a family of 4 from Brooklyn, NY. We have 2 sons ages 12 and 14. We have owned the house since 2006 and love, love, love spending time in this house!
Jeannie Messing-Walsh purchased this house in 2006
The house feels very secluded as well as close to beaches and amenities
We are part of a local farm where we have a share and are able to pick most of our fruit, veggies and flowers over the summer. The stars at night are so crisp and clear. We usually eat all our meals outside on the porch watching the trees sway. Our kids have plenty of room to play catch and kick a ball around, there are no concerns for their safety regarding traffic. They love to get all hot and sweaty on the trampoline, shot hoops in the driveway and then go for a swim in the pool. This house is very peaceful. We are just close enough to all that is entertaining in the Hamptons, yet we have our privacy.
Where do I begin? Everything was amazing!! The house was clean, the pool huge and it was clean...everything was just great. Spent most of the time by the pool because we had amazing weather. We spent our nights on the huge porch. The beach was a quick drive away. Super markets were near by. Some stuff was already provided which was awesome. The kitchen was fully stocked as well. My girls and I were more than satisfied with this clean, summery, and cozy home. Love and miss it!!! Will definitely rent again when I can.
My boyfriend and I rented the home along with another couple for the long Memorial Day Weekend. It was impeccably clean, well-stocked, and extremely comfortable. From the moment we drove up to the house, our expectations were exceeded. While the pictures on the listing do look great, they can't quite capture just how special this home is. From the interior design, to the beautiful landscape, there is something interesting to catch your eye at every turn. We took walks to the nearby bay beach and spent a bit of time in town; however, we spent most of our time enjoying all the home has to offer. We invited some nearby friends over for a barbecue one afternoon, and the kids and grown-ups alike had a blast in the pool, on the trampoline, and playing basketball and baseball in the large extremely private yard. The owner was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. She was very professional and responsive to any questions we had. We have rented many vacation homes, and this was by far our best experience.
We rented sight unseen and were thrilled from the moment we drove up to this sweet home. Having rented homes all over the world, this was the first time our expectations were far exceeded. The house itself is utterly charming, cozy, clean and airy - a delight to spend time in. BUT then you have the dreamy porch, huge yard and pool; why be inside? We rode bikes to nearby bay beaches, drove the short trips to ocean beaches, walked to the Springs General store and visited the horses down the road each evening at sunset. It is very peaceful up in the Springs, and this house takes it to another level. My kids loved the pool, basketball hoop, trampoline. I appreciated the hip, colorful and comfortable decor. Excellent kitchen for those who love to cook!
My wife and I (and 3 children) have rented many different homes in the Hamptons, Springs and Montauk areas over the years and by far, this home is our favorite. It is big and airy, tastefully furnished, and has every modern convenience you may need. The property is surrounded by trees making it very private. The backyard is HUGE! Plenty of room for the kids to run around or play in the pool. There is also a giant trampoline, and on the side, a blacktop basketball court. We bought fresh fish at the docks in town and grilled most of our meals on the back deck rather than going out to eat simply because it was so pretty and peaceful. The area is surrounded by beautiful bay beaches witch are great for when the ocean is too rough for the kids. Getting to the shops, restaurants and beaches in East Hampton takes all of 5 min. by car. We also rode the bikes into town a lot. Simply put, you have the best of both worlds: A private home in a wooded area that feels like you're in the country, and the bays (walking distance) and ocean and within minuets - you're definitely at the beach! An added plus: The owners were truly a pleasure to deal with.
