About Dvora Kanegis
We moved to Salida to be near our grandchildren and to enjoy the outdoors. We are lovers of Argentine tango, so we built a dance studio here, and teach classes to build a tango dance community. Dvora is a well known artist. She paints in our new studio attached to the dance hall. You will see her work on the walls of your vacation home. Steve is a retired ski instructor. He enjoys Monarch Mountain Ski resort which is an easy 25 minutes away. Our grandkids love having a private ski instructor.

Why Dvora Kanegis chose Salida
We saw the potential in this 100 year old brick row house by the river. Renovating is like a three dimensional art project. It has been fun restoring the old wood moldings, keeping the charm, making it comfortable and beautiful. We love it here so much and want to share it with our friends, family, visiting tango dancers, and you.
What makes this Condo unique
Salida has developed the trail system that begins 2 minutes from our door. You can wake early to hike or jump on your bike and head up 'S' Mountain'. The view of the valley is spectacular. Afterwords, walk to brunch by the river or sip coffee at one of our great coffee shops. Salida is quite flat and delightful to see by bicycle. We have 2 very good adult mountain bikes for your use. They have quick release seats to adjust to your height. We have supplied our guest house with several bottles of wine from our wonderful local winery, Vino Salida, for purchase. Check out their daily wine tasting. There are several hot springs near Salida, and a hot springs pool in town They are perfect for after skiing or hiking. Mount Princeton Hot Springs and Salida Hot Springs Pool are great for kids as well as adults. Riverside Park, which is just around the corner, has a playground, a climbing wall, amphitheater, and many summer events: live music, carnival, dancing, etc. You will want to visit Culture Clash, a wonderful art gallery which features jewelry and art. Our daughter, Nicole has her jewelry studio there. Her work, as well as other local artists is worth checking out. What is special about our guest house and Salida??? Come and find out.

Perfect little mountain town getaway
This clean, comfortable residence is located a short, gorgeous walk along the waterfront to downtown. We really enjoyed the quiet setting and when we weren't out exploring it was a lovely place to relax.
All the amenities are included with lovely art and many other thoughtful touches. We fell in love with this little mountain town with its many outdoor activities!
I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for leaving my place in such good order. I look forward to welcoming you again.
Second time here, we will be back for a third time.
Our stay was the second time we have stayed here in 3 years.
As with the first Dvora and Nicole were most helpful in insuring our stay was perfect. Clean and cute and close in to downtown!
I am so happy that you enjoyed again. I look forward to having you back.
Good Property in a Quiet Neighborhood
The property was pretty good overall. It was in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the main part of town, good price, bed was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook, there are two really nice bikes to use which we did. It was just my husband and I so there was plenty of room. Our only disappointment was that the gas fireplace did not work. We are from Florida where it is basically scorching hot all year round and when we come to Salida (this was our 5th time in the past year) we enjoy the cooler weather and being able to use a fireplace in the evening while relaxing with our drinks. When I book on VRBO I check for three major things: price, location, and if there is a fireplace or an outdoor firepit. One of the owner/managers (Nicole) did come over to check it out when I let her know it didn't work but she could not get it working and we were told it's been warm out so no one has used it. It was warm during the day with some cooler nights, or at least to us and where we live 50 degrees is cold and usually considered winter weather in Florida. I had considered just booking another place and taking the loss but we were there for 10 days and that would've been a big loss so we stayed. In the future I will be sure to ask that all listed amenities are in working condition before booking I guess. Other than that, the place was good.
