The moment you walk through the front door, you will fall in love with this modern Mexican casa. The interior has warm vibrant colors with hand painted Talavera tile throughout. The master bedroom with a king bed, opens onto a patio and a small key shaped pool. The house has its own Wifi , a flat screen TV with Apple tv for streaming. The roof garden is full of tropical plants and a palapa roof covers an area for dining and snoozing in a hammock.. There is a view of the ocean and a cool breeze that calms the soul.
Rental includes a maid twice a week, water delivery available, vegetable and fruit truck twice a week. Large common area pool and barbecue area.
The nearest beach, Playa Manzanillio, is a five minute walk from the house. There are several beaches nearby. .Centrally located, within walking distance of the Rinconada, the Adoquin, Zicatella and SuperChe.
This area is well known as a quiet and safe respite from the nighttime noises of urban Mexico.
We would appreciate the deposit be maid to Paypal and the final payment at time of arrival, made in pesos using the exhange rate at the time of the rental
I am a world traveler, a designer and a photographer. I spend 6 weeks here in Puerto and i divide the rest of the year between Seattle and my nonprofit,
sharedworldvisions.org, in Cameroon Africa.
I was a restauranteur for many years in Seattle Washington.
Lois Pierris purchased this house in 2006
Puerto is still a Mexican town..with all the tradition and
feel of the culture.. our home is designed to maintain the integrity of the culture in this country. It is secluded, quiet and close to town.
near the beach..a wonderful cooling off pool in our garden and a large lap pool shared by our small community.... private and quiet. traditional Mexican feel.
We really enjoyed our stay a lot - the house is beautifully designed, spacious and fresh, the kitchen is very well equipped (and if you prefer so, there's even a barbecue in the garden where you can prepare some fresh fish or shrimps you get at the beach or at the market), the terrace a nice and relaxing spot, and the beaches are very close by. The house is absolutely fine for small children as well; the large swimming pool has an own area for children and there's a gate between the house and the smaller pool that can be closed.
We enjoyed 2 wonderful weeks in this lovely home. The listing is accurate, and the house met all of our expectations. It is charming, clean and well maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen. We especially loved the rooftop terrace, the private plunge pool and the larger shared pool. The house is in a very quiet location, and just a short walk to Playa Manzanillo. Lois, the owner, was very helpful and responded promptly to our requests. I will definitely return, and would recommend this casita to others.
A really lovely casita in Puerto Escondido, with everything we needed for 7 days in the sun. Spacious living area and master suite, with a great plunge pool and terrace for lazy afternoons in the sun.
We stayed here for a few weeks in November/December 2014 with our 1 year old daughter. We loved the house from the moment we opened the front door! It is a typical Mexican style house in a quiet, gated community of Puerto Escondido. The house has enough amenities from home to make it comfortable but still has an authentic Mexican feel so you don't think you're at a resort or still stateside. We enjoyed using the plunge pool for a quick dip! There is the shared pool as well which has a small kids pool so that was great for us. The community is very friendly and the location is perfect as you are close to everything but just far enough away from the usual noise disturbances (ie barking dogs, roosters, impromptu fiestas). You are a few minutes walk down to Playa Manzanillo which is a very nice beach. You are very close to the Rinconada which has lots of restaurants and bars. Lois is a great host and always available if there are any issues and quick to respond by email. We loved our stay at this beautiful house and would come back in a heartbeat!
Very nice older casita next to Manzanillo beach with excellent kitchen amenities. Beds were a bit hard and doors did not close well.
Property manager was readily available when water stopped functioning due to pump problems.
Very quite neighborhood, which is better suited for older adult families. I would recommend this property only during the winter season as there is no air conditioning except ceiling fans. The property needs some updating and repair work, and realistically can only accommodate 4 adults comfortably.
Puerto Escondido is a town that we have visited several times over the years.
It's great for a relaxing getaway. This time, instead of staying in a hotel we rented this wonderful home.
The neighbors are nice, and the house is tucked into a quieter section of town that is close enough to the action to be convenient, but also calm and much more convenient to one of the nicer beaches.
Had one glorious week here. Loved having the options for whatever mood we were in; hanging out in the large pool with a neighbor, or cooling off in our own small private pool in back, there is a small (private) downstairs patio for breakfast or beautiful large roof top patio w/palapa in hammocks for afternoon snooze or dining with friends al fresco. Totally clean, attractive house.
The woman who comes in to do the cleaning is a gem, a lovely person.
Would definitely stay there again if it was available.
Cute place.Good location. BUT, needs some attention. No lounge chairs to sun in on the large palapa, kitchen pots and pans should be replaced as well as a few other inexpensive kitchen items. We had to arrange to have some normal maintenance done around the house which was a bit of an inconvenience as it took up a couple of days. Good thing we speak some spanish as well to get this done smoothly. Try not to deal directly with the property manager if you do not have to as that will stress you out. Good neighbours, quiet area, and love the 3 cats that pretty much make themselves at home. And the maid is a lovely, lovely, woman who does one of the best cleaning jobs I have seen in Puerto Escondido.
