Great apt. centrally located.

  • 5 of 5

This attic apt. is a wonderful place to stay while in Madrid. It's well thought out, everything works, and it's very clean. It is as pictured. The Marula Cafe is around the corner if you like seeing live music at night. You can walk to The Prado in 20 minutes. Carmen and Manuel met us at the apartment and made sure we knew how to navigate the apt. and the city. Well worth it!

Welcoming and convenient

  • 5 of 5

Carmen was the perfect HomeAway host. She provided much helpful information about the apartment and neighborhood. There are dozens of great restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the apartment. The building is historic, but everything in the apartment worked perfectly. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Metro and the bus runs right by. Although it's close to major tourist attractions, the area is not overwhelmingly touristy. A couple of tips: it's on the 4th floor and there's no elevator, so you get some steps in. Also, if you want to go to sleep before 2 am in good weather, you may want to close the windows and use the a/c, which works fine. The bars on the courtyard below are noisy until then.

Charming loft like apartment in a quiet wonderful neighborhood. Owner is wonderful.

  • 4 of 5

From the moment we arrived Carmen could not have been more helpful with orienting us to the neighborhood. This is a charming, affordable, open area one bedroom loft apartment in a quiet neighborhood in Madrid. Close to everything, making it very easy to walk to all the main sites. Many inexpensive bars and restaurants just down the block as well as markets if you choose to eat at home. Would highly recommend!!

Wonderful apartment in a quiet, safe and historic location of Madrid

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Madrid, such a nice apartment in a great location, just a 7 minute walk to the royal palace and the Plaza Mayor square with a great selection of restaurants and a meeting point for lot's of the tours in front of the information centre.

We found this apartment to be in a perfect location for our needs everything was within a thirty minute walk so no need for us to use the metro.

We were warmly greeted by Carmen and Manual and they provided us with all the information regarding how to use the facilities within the apartment, if any had been forgotten they provide a comprehensive users guide left on a shelf with loads of guide books/information regarding the sites of Madrid. They provided us with lots of local recommendations on things to do, places to see, restaurants /bars to go too and general local knowledge which we found very helpful.

The Apartment is on the top floor of a historic building but decorated in a modern way. The facilities are clean and are in good condition and the kitchenware is plentiful and of good quality. The air conditioning is excellent and runs quickly and quietly cooling down the apartment after a long busy day sight seeing. The Wifi internet was quick and no problems with drop outs or buffering issues like you get when staying in some of the hotels in Spain!

Overall we had a fantastic experience and have no problem recommending this apartment and the owners.

Thank you Carmen and Manual
