Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a fantastic time staying in Pacific Grove celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. We were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to do so many things including Dennis the Menace park, the aquarium and lunch at the Pebble Beach Lodge after my husband's round of golf.

Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

We will be back!!!

Perfect for our getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely home! It was exactly as described and the owner followed up to confirm the sleeping arrangements (to make sure we'd be happy). There is a walking path along the bay that is literally right across the street. We will definitely stay there again!

Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

The home fit our family perfectly! It was well equipped, spotless and the location couldn't have been better. We loved being able to just cross the street and explore tide pools. On our last morning there, we watched whales from the front room window while eating breakfast! Amazing! We hope to return again.

truthfully presented and very accommodating

  • 5 of 5

It was quite lovely and very accommodating for our children and the grandchildren also. We enjoyed many walks on the cliff and beaches, found the local restaurants to be delicious and reasonably priced, especially the Beach House before 5:30. The house was cozy, but everyone had room to retreat to a bedroom with their own television and the views from the master bedroom, balcony and living area were spectacular day or night.

We enjoyed two visits to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a trip to the lighthouse and a fun outing to Dennis the Menace Park. On the way over from the 101 we took in the John Steinbeck museum in Salinas. Carmel is close and some of our group visited there also.

Everything was very clean and we used the washer and dryer to change sheets when we changed guests. We could just fit our 2 cars in front of the house and behind the garage, but there was ample parking across the road also. The grandchildren are still talking excitedly about the whole experience.

A great place to celebrate a 60th Birthday

  • 5 of 5

The home was in great shape and the master suite had amazing views as did the family room. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the beds were comfortable. The local restaurants and stores were fantastic. Perfect for strolling along the waters edge.

The Monterey Peninsula and the surrounding areas have so much to offer that you could spend a month here and still not see or experience everything.

The beauty of the area is breathtaking from Monterey to Big Sur.

Marine life abounds just out the front door with a tide pool beach directly across the street where harbor seals and sea otter feast and play in the waters just off shore and relax and sunbath on the rocks during low tides. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and whales as they too frequent our protected bay waters.

There is a recreational trail directly in front of the house that wanders along the ocean south to Asilomar and north to Fisherman's Wharf and beyond. It passes Lover's Point, going through Cannery Row, home of the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, and down into Monterey. There are numerous world class restaurants, golf courses, and shopping nearby. Most weekends there are family events, check out and and click on the visitor's tab to see upcoming events and things to do in the area. Some of the more prominent events like the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival, Sea Otter Classic Bike Races, The Big Sur Marathon and Half Marathon, Moto GP at Laguna Seca and Concours d'Elegance have graced our area for many years and attract folks from all over the world.

The adjoining Salinas Valley is considered the salad bowl of the world and our local Farmer's Markets take advantage of that on Monday's in Pacific Grove and Tuesday's in Monterey.

The history of the first state capital of California is apparent with a visit to the local historical sights and museums, especially Customs House Plaza next to Fisherman's Wharf, and the Carmel Mission in Carmel.

A day trip to Big Sur will astound you with the natural beauty of the rugged California coastline. There are hiking trails and remote beaches along the way for even more adventure.

The Monterey Peninsula is a must see destination with something to do 365 days of the year with moderate temperatures even in the summer and winter!!!
