About Bill and Mary Ellen Turk
We are semi-retired and almost full time residents. We have another home in southern California where our children and grandchildren live
Bill and Mary Ellen Turk purchased this House in 1995
Why Bill and Mary Ellen Turk chose Kilauea
We traveled the world seeking a warm tropical home where we could garden and enjoy the ocean--Anini is the prettiest spot we ever saw!

Lovely cottage right near Anini Beach! The whole area is increasingly lush. Peaceful and uplifting! We loved our stay there!!!
Thank you, William. We enjoyed having you. Mary Ellen and Bill
Great Restful Location
This little house is wonderful. The deck is perfect for breakfast. The screened dining area is nice for dinner. The new outdoor grill is very nice and the range inside is a good one. Easy to walk to Annini Beach with our SUPs for a paddle.
Great place for family fun:
Beautiful home by the beach
Very nice hosts
Loved having you. That was your second stay with us
Awesome house near the beach, beware of mosquitoes
This was a great house to stay in, a few minutes walk from Anini Beach (and there were even a bunch of beach toys and beach towels). There are lots of fruit trees in the back yard -- we picked oranges and made fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Beware of mosquitoes (not just in this house but in the whole area). We were there in late December and got lots of bites when we went outside (the house has good mosquito screens though, and has a great dining room in a covered and screened patio-like area).
Thank you Daniel. We e joyed having you.
Anini Beach gem
This comfortable, charming house is a 3 minute walk from the beach. Shopping, snorkel rentals, etc are a 5 minute drive in Princeville. What more do you need? The owners were extremely helpful, even supplying a portable generator within half an hour of a blackout. For our family it felt like home away from home.
Mahalo, David. We enjoyed having you and your family.
Plumaria Cottage - very relaxing and beautiful
Plumeria Cottage is, indeed, a special place, with well-groomed gardens and peaceful surroundings. Mary called once to ensure we were settled in with no problems. The house is older with no air conditioning, so it might not be the place for someone who wants new and modern – but we very much enjoyed this clean and quaint old plantation style home with wooden shutters. The breeze and fans kept the house cool at night and we slept very well. Our granddaughter loved waking up to hear the roosters and sitting on the wrap-around porch for breakfast. The house is set back from the road a bit, but it is just a short walk across the road to a beach path to Anini Beach. The waters there were calm and it was a perfect location for swimming and snorkeling. We also drove a short way, turning left as we left the house, to even an even better snorkeling area where we snorkeled with a sea turtle and saw interesting fish. Staying at Plumeria Cottage was truly a relaxing and pleasant experience.
