Radiant heat rises from VT slate floors to keep your feet toasty. In addition, the wood burning stove offers an open fire experience while providing added warmth. A modern eat-in kitchen with stunning views of Burnt Rock complements your morning coffee.
Master bedroom has a Queen bed. Second bedroom has a bunk bed as well as a trundeled twin, for a total of 4 twin mattresses. Large, comfortable sectional sofa or Queen-size air mattress provide additional sleeping space.
Home is located on a dirt road, so 4-wheel drive or good snow tires are recommended in the winter.

We recently stayed this New Year's and had a great experience. (We only wish we had one more day!) We had two couples and two small children and everyone fit comfortably. We loved the wood stove that warmed the entire house, as well as the nice slate floors. We were lucky enough to have a fresh snowfall, so made sure we took advantage of sledding on the large property! The location was great. We could easily access Stowe, Sugarbush, and a number of other things to do like the Ben and Jerrys factory. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was spacious with great views. So much natural light! The only thing I would recommend is to be sure you have good snow tires or a car that handles snow well in Winter. We will definitely be back!
House was cozy, very comfortable and a short ride to everything. Plows came to the property once a day which was all that was needed.
The location was great; quiet, country, lots to do in the Mad River Valley & close to all of northern Vermont.
Our disappointment regards the interior of the residence. It appeared that no one prepared for our arrival. Observations: there were damp towels in the kitchen. We brought them to the dryer to find a full load of wet towels in the dryer. The top of the stove was covered with grease. No hand soap in the bathrooms or kitchen sink. Could not start the grill. It appeared the tank was empty. The back up was empty. Dead batteries were not changed. A flashlight was left out for our use above the kitchen sink. Dead batteries. Clocks in the living area were conveniently located and not working. Dead batteries. We watched the Red Sox on NESN in the evening. The next night, we could not access the NESN station. I spoke with Kevin. He cut back on the cable without discussion/notification. After the phone discussion, he brought NESN back. Any one of these observations could be overlooked as as mistake. Our observations create a pattern of owner inattention.

The layout of the house is great, lots of light - just a good easy size with a nice flow - the radiant heat is cozy, the wood burning stove charming, great kitchen, beds comfortable, nice living room with a comfy couch - having my dog there with me made it perfect. the pictures dont do it justice! The snow wasn't great for skiing, but the weather was perfect for hiking - I would book again in a heartbeat.
We loved our stay at Feeney Hollow. The location was perfect for us - quiet and secluded from it all, with a beautiful "babbling brook" behind the house. The only tricky part was getting there during "a mud"! But our 4-wheel drive got us through. It really is a lovely home and we look forward to being back there as soon as we can!
