Although my property is waterfront, it has no direct beach access because of the high bank. But just a short 5 minute stroll down our quiet waterfront road, you will find access to over 3 miles of private, community beach for plenty of beach combing. The trade off for the privacy is worth it. :)

Dad grew up in the Skagit Valley area and came back again to retire. I fell in love with Camano during my endless outings with Mom & Dad.
I started looking, along with an agent, for the perfect little beach property. I knew I wanted to be on the Eastside. One morning, checking my e-mail before leaving town on a trip, I received information and 3 photos of a 'new waterfront listing' . I called my agent as soon as I got to the airport and asked her to look into it. The next thing I knew, I was coming home to my new Beach House. I had bought it sight unseen! Besides trusting my agent, and knowing a bit about the area, it just Felt Good. I'll never forget the 1st time I drove up and saw it... I just sat in the car with tears of Happiness.
I spent a few months updating my new home and the past few years creating wonderful memories with family and friends.
I am currently working on a new project and wish to share my Beach House with you Making Wonderful Memories with yours!
Jama purchased this house in 2005
Less rain / lots of sun,
The Quiet and privacy of a high bank yet just a short walk to the beach.
I'm on 'Island time', away from the tourists.
Just an hour to Seattle, with no ferry, if I do need a 'city fix'.
My plants/flowers are happier here...
Seven of us spend a week in Camano each summer visiting. We've been friends since 1985 and try to get together at least once a year. Three of us stayed at Jama's house this year - early August. It is in a nice location with wonderful views. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the house when we weren't out visiting wineries, goat farms, parks and beaches. We didn't really do any cooking at the house but it was nice to come back at night and sit and have a glass of wine outside. Morning coffee and toast at the outdoor table were always nice - before we hurried out to meet friends and start the day. The house is very comfortable and clean with nice amenities. Thumbs up from all of us.
This was a wonderful stay. Thank you Jama for the kind, and tasty, welcome. The house was exactly as described. It was very warm and cozy. There is a comfortable deck overlooking the sound and the Cascades. We reviewed lots of properties and made the absolute correct choice with Jama's place. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed the amazing view and cozy cottage! I would definitely book again!
Thank you Jama for sharing your beautiful home with us! We had the pleasure of meeting the hostess and Jama was so gracious, showing us everything about the home and the area.
The cottage is perfectly beachy and simple - has everything you could need - but the draw is the beautiful view! There is a small, very well-designed garden where birds come every morning to feed, the occasional bald eagle flies by, and there are 180 degree views of water.... We had coffee on the back porch every morning. And one evening we had a bonfire in the fire pit.
If you are heading to Camano Island, this home is the perfect peaceful retreat!
Jama's cottage has all the conveniences of home (except I don't keep delicious chocolate chip cookies around) with the added bonus of a wonderful view in a spectacular location. And Jama was very helpful and responsive to questions and concerns. My husband, daughter and I stayed there during our son's wedding on the island and our only regret is that we spent too little time at the cottage. Our one endulgence was sitting in the living room for about 1/2 hr watching all of the hummingbirds and looking out on the beautiful water. We will return for sure when we have time to relax and enjoy it.
What a gem on Camano Island. Relaxing, comfortable and delightful staying at this property. Can't wait to return another time. Everything you could need is there and our group of 5 were extremely content. Thanks to Jama for making her cottage a wonderful spot. We will return and would highly recommend.
For you crabbing, Fishing and Clamming hobbyist, there is Cavalero boat launch 1/2 mile up the road or if you prefer the State park launch, within 10 minutes on the West side. Great place to launch if you want to zip across to Whidbey Island.
Bring your catch home and enjoy cleaning in our outdoor Crab Kitchen area.
