About CAROLINE HUGHES
I am from a lovely big Irish family. Myself and my husband have three wonderful children.
CAROLINE HUGHES purchased this House in 2007
Why CAROLINE HUGHES chose Greystones
Clifton is probably the best location and is beside the sea, and beaches. Greystones offers a wonderful lifestyle, only 40 mins from Dublin City . There are beautiful shops, lots of sports, scenic walks and lots of beach activities. The most wonderful cafes, pubs and award winning restaurants. Great train service to Dublin. Aircoach to airport. Buses to various places. Review below "We had a wonderful at time at the house. The sea view from the front of the house is breathtaking and engrossing. The house is charming and Alan and Caroline were very helpful and welcoming. You feel right at home and relaxed. Greystones is charming and the whole town with its shops and restaurants are a easy stroll. If you wish to explore Dublin, the Dart train is a short walk with many trains throughout the day. If you wish to experience the countryside, the Cliff Walk to Bray starts at the marina right around the corner. Also, the countryside of Wicklow is all around and ready to experience. Glendalough and Powerscourt are a short drive and are easily accessible. We loved every moment at the house, and would return in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed. Robert O, Hockessin, Delaware 5 Stars ***** " Regards, ROB Sent from my iPad One of the most beautiful walks in Ireland is from Greystones to Bray. I One of the highlights of walking in Wicklow. This linear walk takes you from Bray to Greystones along the stunning coastal path. The path is well maintained and you can return by light rail (DART) to the start point. In 2008, Greystones was named as the world's 'most liveable community' at the LivCom Awards in China You can walk to the heart of the village and to the train station within 10 minutes. Every window in this house has beautiful views . Greystones has won a world award for being the most liveable community. A wonderful experience - don't miss out!
There is really no question about it - I would alter my future travel dates in order to be able to stay here.
The pictures, as you see, are gorgeous, but it's actually even better in real life. The house is right across the street from the ocean, very near to the beach and harbour. We got to see seals!
The marina area is right down the hill, and the main part of town is just a ten minute walk. Greystones is a gem, if you don't already know, and an easy train ride or drive to Dublin.
Please pay attention to any recommendations that Caroline or Alan make, you won't go wrong. When they say the scones at Spendloves are amazing, believe it!
The beds were comfortable, house was very warm and inviting, the dining room looks right out on to the water.
Don't hesitate, just book! You will have no regrets.
Dax, and family.
Thank you so much for your fabulous review. Its so much appreciated, and we really would love to see you return one day.
Thank you for leaving the house in such wonderful condition.
Very best wishes.
Caroline and Alan.
Perfect location for our group.
All 6 of us enjoyed staying in the house by the sea. The view, close proximity to historical sites and easy access to Dublin made thus the best choice for us.
You were great visitors.
Hope to see you all return here again .
Lovely home and outstanding holiday
The property is simply beautiful. The location is ideal, overlooking the ocean and walking distance to the town center. The quaint town is perfect - small enough yet provides for your every need. The train station is also walking distance and a nice ride to Dublin. The house is spacious and the beds were very comfortable. However, the best part of the visit is Alan & Caroline. They were gracious hosts providing food upon our arrival and offering advice on everything Ireland. They felt like family! I highly recommend staying at their lovely home. Perfect location with perfect hosts!
Stephanie, thank you so much for your wonderful review and thank you to you all for leaving our house so beautiful. We hope to see you back again in Greystones one day. Very best wishes. Alan and Caroline
House with a view!
What a lovely property, and lovely owners! Within walking distance to all the amenities , beach across the road. Ice cream parlour and The beach house pub around the corner, they do Irish music, and sports and a huge lounge and outdoor seating for families!
We enjoyed a few days out around Wicklow to Glendalough, and Powerscourt waterfall. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend this property.
A very well appointed home in a great location within easy walking distance of the watersports facilities centered on Greystones harbor and marina [sailing, rowing, diving and fishing clubs] and of a swimming beach.
We came primarily to sail so the easy access to the sailing club and the ability to see the sea conditions and watch the racing from the cliffs just outside the front door added to the enjoyment of the week.
We were a mixed group of four unconnected people so much appreciated the privacy of the four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen/dining area was a great meeting place with the second floor living room a good place to relax quietly. Caroline and Alan made us most welcome.
Thank you for that lovely review.
Very best wishes.
Caroline and Alan Hughes.
This is a great place to stay in Ireland. Directly across the street from the sea. The house is great. The sun rises over the sea and sets behind the mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone that asks.
Greystones has been voted one of the best places to live in the world. (You can see Greystones on Youtube.com - "Livcom awards Greystones"
The prettiest village in County Wicklow. It is so beautiful. A village that has everything, library, theatre, shops, restaurants, pubs (with music), parks, fishing, sailing, golfing. Everyone is so friendly, and everywhere is within walking distance of house.
“You have a huge range of sports facilities in the town. You have the tennis club, the GAA club, Greystones rugby club and Greystones football club, Charlesland athletic track, Shoreline Swimming Pool, Gym and Fitness Centre and you have Charlesland golf club,“You also have the South Beach, the harbour, the marina. It’s a sporting paradise.”
