Overview

Big Sky Townhome Rental Photos and Description

Townhome, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Our story started with buying a used SUV, the Green Moose, to use while skiing. We then fell in love with Big Sky; it is breathtakingly beautiful with vast skiing terrain (Biggest Skiing in America 5,512 acres) and summer activities galore. The resort has a wide variety of terrain for all skill levels, frequent powder days, and short lift lines—even during holiday breaks! So we purchased our dream 2200 sq ft., three bedroom townhome and now have a place to park the Green Moose SUV! The Saddle Ridge Townhome is perfectly situated right on the ski slope close to Moonlight Lodge (true ski-in, ski-out) and offers a sweeping view of Big Sky. Your “vacation is on” as we can offer both - an amazing home and an 8 passenger GMC Suburban to use for FREE (up to 200 miles and $0.35 / mile thereafter) while touring Montana. Of course you don’t need the vehicle to ski as we are located literally right on the ski slope. You simply put on your skis and ski down to the Pony Express lift. When the day is over or you just want a hot chocolate break, you can ski back to the condo. It couldn’t be easier!

The townhouse has three spacious bedrooms, three and a half baths and offers comfort and fine amenities; fluffy towels and comfortable beds. You can sink into the living room sofa and chairs, be warmed by the fireplace, and watch your favorite programs on Direct TV, Blu-Ray, or DVD. If that’s not enough, you can use our Chromecast to stream videos off your Netflix, Hulu Plus, or HBO Go accounts using our free, full condo WiFi internet. We have a full condo speaker system connected to the receiver in the living room and cords to connect up your smartphone or MP3 player. So you can listen to music and enjoy the evening while the kids play games on our Xbox and Xbox 360. We have a large library of movies, video games, and books. A fully (and we mean fully) equipped kitchen and pantry rounds out a great experience. There are dramatic views of the mountains from all windows. After an exhausting day of skiing or hiking you can soak in the outdoor hot tub and view Lone Peak Mountain – or the amazing starry night! A large deck off the dining area can be enjoyed at any time, especially for that family meal during the balmy summer months or a mid-morning coffee chat with your friends!

Then what about summer you ask? Well, Yellowstone Park is 45 minutes away and home to some of the most breathtaking and beautiful natural wonders, including mud volcanoes, hot springs, steam vents, and rivers. There is trout fishing in the Big Sky Valley, white water rafting and hiking out your back door. You will share your adventure with moose, elk and an occasional black bear. Bozeman is 45 minutes away and is the home of Montana State University which hosts The Museum of the Rockies. It has an amazing dinosaur exhibit and Jack Horner, university museum paleontologist was adviser to Jurassic Park!

The SUV, fondly known as The Green Moose, is a 1998 Suburban. It sports old world luxury with heated leather seats, comfortable seating for 8, clean interior and enough room for extra stuff. The engine is completely rebuilt, new tires, and cruise control. This is available for no extra charge during the ski season (200 miles per week max) and the gas tank needs to be full when you leave. If you wish to use over 200 miles per week, the charge will be $0.35 per mile over the 200 mile max limit. Eligible drivers only. While use of the vehicle is free under 200 miles, we do require that you sign a vehicle rental agreement and furnish a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. If you wish to use the vehicle, please let us know ASAP and at least 1 month prior to arrival. The vehicle meets you at the Bozeman Airport and must be returned to the Bozeman Airport.

Keywords: Phenomenal mountain views from every window best describe this incredible and luxurious ski in and ski out townhouse. And we offer The Green Moose (our SUV) to use!

Best vacation of my life!

  • 5 of 5

I've vacationed all around this country - and even internationally - and I have to say this was probably the most beautiful area on I've ever stayed in (stayed in June). This condo/cabin in Big Sky, MT was absolutely perfect. It was clean, well appointed, and furnished with just about everything we needed. If you're visiting Yellowstone every day (like we did) it's a bit of a drive to/from the park (which you'll see on the map), but it is one of the most beautiful drives you can find, so the driving time went by very quickly. I cannot recommend this location and this owner's condo enough. Stay here and you won't be disappointed. One note: Get your groceries at one of the major stores in nearby Bozeman, MT (it's a relatively short drive), as opposed to the very overpriced local market. Enjoy!

Excellent property strategically located

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed in this terrific ski in ski out townhome for spring break 2016. It is clearly able to accommodate more than twice that many. Located in the moonlight basin area, it provides optimal access to the skiing we like plus gives you a head start on the beautiful drive down to Ennis, Montana via the private access Jack Creek Road route. My son and I took a break from skiing one day to fly cast some browns and rainbows on the famous Madison River. We also made use of the green moose SUV which is well-maintained and we highly recommend. The owners are very well organized and easy to work with! We would return to this property in a heartbeat any time of year!

Outstanding Townhouse With Outstanding Skiing

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week stay at this wonderful property and we had a great time. There were nine of us including five children. This is a true ski in, ski out property. It could be honestly advertised as ski in, ski out of your bedroom. Quite literally.

The owners were terrific to deal with. They were very responsive and it is quite obvious that they care about your travel experience. And having a SUV waiting at the airport as part of the package was very convenient and saved us money.

We can't wait to return. Thank you Diane and Robert.

Really Great Property

  • 5 of 5

Our family just returned from Big Sky skiing and this beautiful property. The condo is really lovely and the location is truly ski-in ski-out. The kitchen is very well equipped and the whole house was very clean. The owners were very easy to work with and did a great job of communicating. We are glad we chose this property for our skiing vacation!

Just Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

My hubby brought me here on a surprise 10th anniversary vacation. What a surprise!! We left our 2 young kiddos at home (they would have had a blast and we'll be bringing them next time--the upstairs room is a kids haven!) and enjoyed this amazing place all for ourselves. The amenities (great kitchen, hot tub, laundry, comfortable bed, etc), proximity to hiking and wildlife were just a few things that would bring us back. We spent 2 days hiking/getting to know the town (great brew pubs), 2 days in Yellowstone and 3 days watching the snow fall. Moose at the front door, fox on our hikes, buffalo and elk in Yellowstone....beautiful views from the deck/hot tub. The Green Moose offers it all! Thanks Robert and Diane for offering such an amazing place for us to celebrate our 10 years together.
