Bob is a real estate consultant and Ginny is a registered nurse working in the Boston medical area. We're Boston natives and moved to Brookline so we could take advantage of access to downtown Boston, restaurants and entertainment. We live in Brookline so ask us for a testimonial
The Owner purchased this condo in 2005
We bought 15 Garrison Rd in 2005 due to the convenient access to 'the city', and all it has to offer from fine dining, to sports and cultural events.
Private balcony, fireplaced living room with 10 ft ceilings, quiet location while close to the action.
My wife and I had a fantastic time during our month long stay at 15 Garrison Rd. The apartment is spacious, clean, comfortable, and is conveniently located 1 block from Beacon Street, steps from the C and D MBTA green lines. The proximity to transportation made access to every part of the city very easy. Having a parking space with the apartment was a real plus for us as well, having driven from Miami, Florida. During the stay, our wonderful and accommodating hosts, Bob and Ginny suggested some beautiful places to visit, and we took several day trips to the Cape and neighboring coastal towns. The seascapes were truly breathtaking! In addition to taking in the views by car and train, we took advantage of the bicycles available to us.
Since we enjoy cooking, we were delighted with the condo's gas stove and ample kitchen. We were happy to discover several supermarkets nearby that met all of our culinary needs. On days we did not want to cook in, we enjoyed eating out at very good restaurants close by.
If you are considering a stay in Boston, we highly recommend 15 Garrison Rd!!!
My husband and I lived at 15 Garrison for four months while he had an international work assignment. We brought our two young children and our hound dog, and were welcomed with open arms by Bob and Ginny!! The building is old but has been completely renovated and was a pleasure to stay here.
We had an amazing experience here. The condo is only a few minutes' walk to the C line and the D line, with very easy access to the downtown of Boston. (I recommend taking the D line at Beaconsfield because there are less stops and no traffic lights).
We appreciated Bob's flexibility in our movement of furniture and making it suitable for our kids as a semi-permanent home. They went beyond the call of duty to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. My daughter in particular was very fond of our stay here. Boston is a beautiful city and Brookline is one of the friendliest towns I have ever seen! The area is gorgeous and everything you need is close by. Washington Square is packed with restaurants, the liquor store, 7Eleven, Starbucks, a hardware store, bakery, pubs, and right around the corner is a Star Market grocery store, where I shopped for four months with no problems at all. (Hint: worth it to get a free Shaws supermarket card as there are huge savings).
I would highly recommend this condo to anybody coming to the city for a weekend or longer. Just keep in mind that the second bedroom is more like an alcove off the living room, it is not a separate private bedroom.
Fantastic stay, great neighbourhood, easy access to everything you need, and wonderful landlords.
Our family stayed here and it was just like being at home. Bob, Ginny and their assistant Kathy had great tips about the neighborhood and sights to see in Boston. We took advantage of the "T" for transportation. There is a market and great restaurants nearby. From this location you can literally access all of Boston, we visited the Freedom Trail, North End, and Harvard. Probably the best time of all was the tour of Fenway Park and sitting on the monster wall. We truly enjoyed our stay here and will book again to visit our daughter who just moved to the area for grad school.
This condo was terrific! It met all of our needs, was very clean and comfortable, and accessibile to public transport and local shopping and restaurants.
Walk to restaurants, Public transportation to hospitals, Fenway Park, Downtown Boston, Museums, Waterfront, and shopping
