Great location and great amenities

  • 4 of 5

The property is spectacular. The pond is great with a beach, dock and kayaks to use.

The kitchen/living/main area is very spacious and goodie gathering. There is a large table that seats 10 or more.

There are two bedrooms that are private. The rest of the sleeping is open area. The upstairs loft has a sliding door but is open to main area.

It was about 100 degrees all weekend and the air struggled to keep it below 75 degrees until night time and then it only dropped to 72 one night. This was our only negative.

We had 10 adults and 4 kids. The kids had their own bedding (pack n plays) that we brought but all the adults slept in a bed comfortably with room for at least 4 more in beds.

There was an atv trail that started on opposite of pond and went up through woods. It was a great little hike.

The grill is a charcoal grill that you see at a park not the one we saw in the pictures.

The hot tub fits 6 easy and works great!

The most spectacular part is the stars at night. Turn off the lights and you can see a bunch of stars us city folk never see.

Highly recommend.

lodge at the lake august 2016

  • 4 of 5

Overall, a nice place especially for families with dogs.

Some of the outdoor furniture is a little long in the tooth and should be repaired

Some days the wifi worked and other days it didn't- the unpredictability of that was an inconvenience.

The lake itself was wonderful

Lots of outdoor fun

  • 4 of 5

Our extended family of 6 adults and 6 children (ages 2-11) had a great time here. We especially enjoyed swimming, kyacking and fishing in the pond....5 stars there.

The house itself was very clean but a bit "tired" and in need of some refreshing, especially the deck areas....3 stars there. (The large, new tvs were great to watch the olympics during some of the rainy spells.) The grounds are also in need of some tlc... The grass was very high and the gazebo is a bit rough. New outdoor furniture is needed....3 stars there.

Overall, it was a great place to kick back and have loads of fun with our kids and grandkids.

Breathtaking...secluded and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This location has it all. The private lake and beach was great fun for the entire family any time we decided to take a dip, kayak, or just sit on the dock. The cabin itself is beautiful with all the necessities of home. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the yard, cooking out and having a fire at the end of a very busy day. Ghost stories in the loft was a big hit too. We hope to make this our end of summer trip year after year. Everything was as described and more.

Great place for a group get-away

  • 4 of 5

Loved it. We stayed two nights; found the place to be clean, well maintained and accurately represented by the online pictures and descriptions. The outside chairs and decking are showing the weather and age but for our group of 8 we had plenty of room and seating to gather inside and out. We stayed on one of the hottest July weekends so the dock, kayaks and water were absolutely wonderful to have. The motion-lights were at key points needed. We would stay again and would recommend.

We enjoyed going into Logan and touring the Washboard factory and Bowen house and a few little shops.

Four stars - one item needed to move to five is comfortable seating for movie watching. Not enough cushioned elements.

- also some type of step and/or railing down to dock from Gazebo.

Great place, thanks!

What a great property!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What a fantastic place to bring our family! Whether you wanted to swim, hike, fish, kayak around the private lake, hot tub, play games, ping pong, sit by the fire or just read quietly in the gazebo by the water, there was literally something for everybody. The cabin was neat and clean and slept 12 comfortably, 4 downstairs and 8 upstairs. The two bathrooms were tidy and up to date and had plenty of towels and hot water for a large group. The kitchen was well appointed and we found everything we could possibly need during our stay, and we cooked a lot! Outside we found 3 kayaks, a pile of floats for the lake and a great little sandy beach to relax on. The water was perfect and amazingly clean for a 5-acre lake, and most everyone took a swim during our trip. The cabin is a converted barn so the whole space is very open, which makes it very spacious and bright but also prone to be a bit noisy at times. Many of us brought ear plugs for sleeping and were just fine :) Also, GPS was NOT reliable in the area, so make sure to print the directions provided before leaving. I would highly recommend this property!
