We vacationed in St. Louis the end of September--getting a family trip in before our son heads off to college. Bob, it was easy to call your house "home" during our stay! Nice to be able to park in a garage vs. on the street and our son relished having his own space on the top floor. The kitchen was well appointed and, although laundry is not top on our to do list while traveling, being able to do a few loads and return home with most everything clean was an added bonus. The location was great for taking in the Zoo, the Arch, City Museum, Anheuser Busch and a Cardinals game. We also enjoyed a number of restaurants in the area that had been featured on the "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" television show (The Shaved Duck, Mission Taco, Bogart's Smokehouse, Dressel's Public House) as well as Soulard Market. Reflecting on our Review Title re: another visit--hope to return with another couple, taking more advantage of the Soulard Market and spending more time at the house, especially the backyard grill/patio area. Bottom line, highly recommend this VRBO option!!
We had a such a great weekend that we even stayed an extra night! The house was perfect for us and our 3 kids. We walked to Cardinals game and the Soulard Market! The bathroom was beautiful!
We stayed here with our four kids. There was plenty of room for them and two extra air mattresses to give everyone their own bed. The pictures don't really show how nice this house really is ! Lovely decor and very comfortable. It was so convenient for seeing the Arch and other downtown sights. The garage is a great added bonus. We highly recommend this house. Thanks Bob for a great place to stay in St. Louis!
My family of 5 stayed here over the 4th of July weekend and it was the perfect place for us. Bob, the owner, met us at the house upon arrival and showed us the whole place. The pictures online do not do it justice, this place is beautiful and remodeled with stunning touches. The top level was just perfect for my three boys, they loved having a part of the house all to themselves. The master suite on the second floor was perfect and had an amazing bathroom with beautiful walk-in shower and claw-foot tub. On the main level was the kitchen with every supply needed, a dining area, sitting room, and 3rd bathroom. It rained a lot during our stay so we went through more clothes than expected. It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer to take care of the laundry! The backyard was a landscaped oasis with grill and balcony off the 2nd level. Private parking was in a detached garage. The house is in the perfect location for seeing the St, Louis sights. It was a very short drive to The Arch, City Museum, and The Zoo. We walked to the farmer's market and Bogart's BBQ which was some of the best BBQ we ever had!! You can also walk to Busch Stadium to take in a Cardinals game. Bob was fantastic to work with, we needed to switch our arrival date and he was so accommodating. You can tell he his really proud of this property and wants his guests to have a great time. I would highly recommend this home to anyone!
We (4 adults) stayed here for a trip to watch some March Madness. This house is large and well decorated, with a large bedroom on each of two upper floors. Tons of room to spread out, and watching the games in a living room is much more comfortable than a hotel or bar. The kitchen was well equipped and there is a gas grill in the backyard. There's a farmer's market and Bogart's BBQ and some bars a short walk away. If you have a car (there is a garage), it's just a few minutes from downtown. We had a great time!
My family recently stayed in this home with teenagers. The house was incredible! We were so impressed with the home and decor. I like to cook often and am used to "my tools" and Bob, the owner said the kitchen came well equipped. He wasn't exaggerating. We ate all but one meal a day at the house and it was very comfortable. Everyone had their own space and we had 5 adults and two teens. The upstairs bedroom had so much space. We blew up two extra beds and there was still room to walk around. The master bedroom and bath were dreamy. We felt the location was so easy to get to where we wanted to go. We visited St. Louis in many neighborhoods and local star quality eateries were nearby. Would definitely stay again and Bob was extremely flexible and helpful.
Wow what a great location! Walk to Busch Stadium and Historic Soulard Farmer's Market.
