My family of 5 stayed here over the 4th of July weekend and it was the perfect place for us. Bob, the owner, met us at the house upon arrival and showed us the whole place. The pictures online do not do it justice, this place is beautiful and remodeled with stunning touches. The top level was just perfect for my three boys, they loved having a part of the house all to themselves. The master suite on the second floor was perfect and had an amazing bathroom with beautiful walk-in shower and claw-foot tub. On the main level was the kitchen with every supply needed, a dining area, sitting room, and 3rd bathroom. It rained a lot during our stay so we went through more clothes than expected. It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer to take care of the laundry! The backyard was a landscaped oasis with grill and balcony off the 2nd level. Private parking was in a detached garage. The house is in the perfect location for seeing the St, Louis sights. It was a very short drive to The Arch, City Museum, and The Zoo. We walked to the farmer's market and Bogart's BBQ which was some of the best BBQ we ever had!! You can also walk to Busch Stadium to take in a Cardinals game. Bob was fantastic to work with, we needed to switch our arrival date and he was so accommodating. You can tell he his really proud of this property and wants his guests to have a great time. I would highly recommend this home to anyone!
We (4 adults) stayed here for a trip to watch some March Madness. This house is large and well decorated, with a large bedroom on each of two upper floors. Tons of room to spread out, and watching the games in a living room is much more comfortable than a hotel or bar. The kitchen was well equipped and there is a gas grill in the backyard. There's a farmer's market and Bogart's BBQ and some bars a short walk away. If you have a car (there is a garage), it's just a few minutes from downtown. We had a great time!
My family recently stayed in this home with teenagers. The house was incredible! We were so impressed with the home and decor. I like to cook often and am used to "my tools" and Bob, the owner said the kitchen came well equipped. He wasn't exaggerating. We ate all but one meal a day at the house and it was very comfortable. Everyone had their own space and we had 5 adults and two teens. The upstairs bedroom had so much space. We blew up two extra beds and there was still room to walk around. The master bedroom and bath were dreamy. We felt the location was so easy to get to where we wanted to go. We visited St. Louis in many neighborhoods and local star quality eateries were nearby. Would definitely stay again and Bob was extremely flexible and helpful.
My husband and I rented this house the week of Christmas. We're from St. Louis but live out of state. We wanted to rent a house so we could have additional family traveling home for Christmas to stay with us. We wanted to have a place where the whole family could gather together. When we met Bob the owner at the house, I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I walked through the front door! This house is absolutely gorgeous!! It's so cozy, charming and looks and feels like somewhere out of a Better Homes and Garden magazine. It's so big and roomy, and having 3 floors everyone has their space. This house is completely stocked with everything you could ever imagine.....from the kitchen to the bedrooms, to the bathrooms, you want for nothing! You literally just have to grocery shop for food. Parking is great with the private garage with garage door opener.....The backyard is awesome as well....I really can't say enough about the house except if you ever visit St. Louis and you're tired of the hotel scene, this is definitely the place to stay!!!
My wife and I stayed at this property at the end of May, so I apologize for being tardy with my review. We have been knocking off our baseball/stadium vacations bit by bit and this year traveled from KC to ST. Louis (generally following the SF Giants). This wonderful home is perfectly located for Busch Stadium as well as all activities in the city. Equipped with a GPS, we visited museums and parks around town and made our way to the waterfront for a short but fun ride on the Mississippi River. We walked to our games and explored the Soulard District with lots of fun restaurants, the Farmer’s Market and a local pub featuring Irish music. It was so wonderful to have a full kitchen where you could whip up a breakfast or occasional meal to take a break from constant heavy meals on the road. We took our toast and coffee right outside to the garden table in the mornings and parked there for a refreshing afternoon tea. A garage for the car, television and air-conditioning…all top notch. Bob, the owner was always available and helpful. Four stars from these happy travelers.
We loved the house and the neighborhood near downtown St. Louis. We were there for eleven nights and could not have felt more at home. We had two minor problems (coffee pot and internet), and Bob handled both quickly and with great good humor. Future visitors will have the advantage of a new coffee pot and new modem, so those problems won't likely arise again. The house has historic ambiance while offering all the modern conveniences. We would choose this house again for future visits to St. Louis and recommend it for anyone who wants the experience of living in the old city area. It was convenient to everything, especially the wonderful Soulard Market.
Wow what a great location! Walk to Busch Stadium and Historic Soulard Farmer's Market.
