Enjoy this Spacious and light-filled 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom duplex apartment (115 square meter, 1200 square foot). It is exceptionally located rue des Saints Peres, in St-Germain des Pres on the top floors (4th and 5th) of a 17th century building.
The apartment can sleep up to 6 people and is outfitted with high quality furnishings.
Bed & Bath Highlights
On the upper floor the master bedroom a queen size bed. There is also an armchair which can be easily converted into a single bed for a child. The second bedroom features a twin bed. The upper level bathroom has a hand shower over a full size bath tub. The toilets are separate.
On the lower floor in the living room you will find a double size Murphy bed. The sleeping alcove has direct access to the full lower level bathroom.
The neighborhood offers numerous exclusive fashion, decoration and furnishings shops, designer boutiques, bookstores, antique dealers and restaurants. Also, it is just a short walking distance to some of the most famous Parisian landmarks, such as, Brasserie Lipp, Cafe Flore, cafe les Deux Magots, Musee d'Orsay, Jardin du Luxembourg, Latin Quarter, the Ile de la Cite with the Cathedral of Notre Dame, and the Louvre across the River Seine...You are really in the most perfect location to discover the city of Paris.
We stayed at this lovely apartment during a family trip to Paris. We found the apartment to be spacious, airy and bright. It was great having two bathrooms available as well as the kitchen. As we were traveling with children, we usually ate dinner in the apartment and made picnic lunches. The nearby Monoprix was great for stocking up on groceries. The charcuterie there even had escargots, as the kids wanted to try them. We found the location to be ideal. It’s easy walking distance to shopping and cafes on Bd St Germain des Pres. At first, we thought the stairs and no elevator would be daunting, but in fact it wasn’t a problem at all. With all our walking in Paris, we were happy to come home a few pounds lighter despite all of the delicious food and wine!
Our family of 5 adults stayed at the flat for eight nights in June. We were entirely comfortable throughout the duration of our stay. We all agreed that it was a tremendous experience and that the apartment was a special place for us to call home during our time in Paris. It is spacious, with ample room on two levels. The flat is spotlessly clean with wonderful linens and bedding, and it has a very special charm. As it occupies the fourth and fifth floors of the building, the views over the neighbourhood are tremendous. All the amenities that we could ask for were present. For example, we prepared three dinners during our stay and lacked for nothing in the preparation of our meals. All appliances were easy to use. The property manager Brigitte met with us on arrival and provided a thorough orientation as to where to find things and how everything works. Easy Wi Fi access and international calling made it a cinch to stay connected with North America. The location is fantastic. I highly recommend Boulangerie Legrand on Rue des Saints Peres just steps north of Boulevard St. Germain for fresh prepared baguette and croissant each morning as a true delight, and there are fine options for food shopping within an easy walk...Monoprix, Carrefour on Rue de Buci and if the pocketbook permits, Le Bon Marche. The only issue to be aware of, which is well explained on the Homeaway web site, is that there is no elevator so the apartment would not be suitable for elderly or handicapped individuals.
We loved staying there and give it the highest possible ranking. If travelling with a family we can't think of a better place to call home while in Paris and would recommend it without hesitation.
My family enjoyed our stay in St Germaine so much. We were met at the apt upon our arrival. Everything was explained to us. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels for our showers! This is a cool apt in a great location. You really feel like you live there.
We planned to stay in Paris over the holiday and couldn't have selected a better location and place. We had stayed in Paris before and had a similar location but not nearly as beautiful as this place. It was spacious, centrally located to everything and it was certainly upscale. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Paris. We will definitely be back in the future.
Everything about this apartment made us feel like we were locals: the small village feel of the St Germain district, the local bar (“the Sauvignon”) where we stopped after our long days of walking around Paris and the proximity to the most famous museums and places (Orsay, Le Louvre, La Madeleine) blew our minds. The 2-story layout, which is a rare find in Paris, made us feel like we were in a house, giving us a sense of space, much privacy, and a relaxing time with the rest of our family. Because it was so centrally located, we could easily come back home for lunch, recharge, and go out again. It’s not surprising so many artists such as Baudelaire, Nureyev, and others came and stayed in that beautiful and artistic part of Paris. If you like shopping the district has amazing stores. Rue de Rennes has lesser expensive shops and the huge Monoprix just 10 min away, Rue de Rennes, is where we bought our food (deli, cheese, meats and prepared meals) something so special about France. We absolutely loved our stay there and hope to be back some day.
This apartment was the perfect place to stay in Paris! Large, clean, and centrally located. Great neighborhood, lots of cafes and shops nearby and the metro close as well. We definitely will be staying here again!
First time to Paris and this apartment was perfect for my family of 5. Walking distance to everything. Did not feel guilty about eating because the steps to the apartment worked it off. Would rent again anytime. The owner was helpful and flexible with payment and Brigitte was also very helpful.
