The Scandinavian Lodge Condominiums are nestled high alongside beautiful Mt. Werner and offer ski-out, walk-in access to Steamboat's world famous champagne powder. Surrounded by beautiful, multi-million dollar homes, the Scandinavian Lodge is located in the middle of Steamboat's finest ski-access neighborhood and enjoys what we believe are the best views in town. As the only condominiums located in this exclusive neighborhood, the Lodge provides tranquil seclusion just steps from the slopes or just a short, complimentary private ski season shuttle ride to Steamboat's fine shopping, dining and year round off-mountain activities. In addition to the spacious, well appointed condominiums we offer for rental, guests also enjoy access to our luxurious swim-out heated pool (kept at 90 degrees!), hot tub and sauna to relax and rejuvenate after a hard day on the slopes. The Scandinavian Lodge is the perfect escape!

This Scandinavian Lodge condominium has a modern feel with contemporary furnishings and décor. The fully equipped kitchen features Bosch stainless steel appliances, custom quarter-sawn walnut cabinetry, absolute black granite countertops, bar seating and decorative glass and metal tiles throughout. The living area has a gas fireplace enclosed in metallic tiles, a leather queen sleeper sofa, 42 inch LCD TV with surround sound, HD cable TV and a French door to the unit's sunken patio. The master suite offers a king bed and bathroom with a large Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom has a split king bed, which converts to two twins if necessary, and a full bath. This property will sleep up to 6 people comfortably, is pet friendly and has a European style all-in-one washer/dryer unit. There is a 150 yard walk back to the property from the base of the Thunderhead Lift, or guests may choose to ride the complimentary shuttle to and from the ski area base. There is also a swim-out heated pool, hot tub ad sauna on the premises.

Why Don Redlinger chose Steamboat Springs

The Scandinavian Lodge is located in my favorite neighborhood in Steamboat. It is the last multi-family complex in the area and has the best view in town, a pool for my kids and easy access to the slopes in the winter and the biking and hiking trails in the summer.

What makes this condo unique

The building is located in Steamboat's finest ski-in, ski-out neighborhood. The complex has the advantage of quiet seclusion nestled among multi-million dollar homes, but it is only a mile away from the base area and steps to the slopes. The building is small, with only 19 units but has wonderful ammenities of a larger complex with a heated pool, large hot tub and sauna. The private shuttle is great as well.

Acceptable for our needs but not perfect

We stayed at this condo for the World Series. It was great in that it was close to town, the kitchen was nice, and the pool was good for the kids. The kitchen is remodeled, but the rest of the condo is old (torn carpet etc.). I did not realize there was no AC until we arrived to 90 degree weather. We chose this condo because we wanted to bring our dog. Our dog is crated and was never anywhere in the building but our room. However, while in the common area by the pool, we were accosted by a man who claimed to own the entire third floor and who "knew everything that goes on here, including who has what cars" and accused us of letting our dog swim in the jacuzzi. Our dog was never anywhere near the pool or jacuzzi. The man was threatening and from that point on we felt like we were being watched which was unnerving. We were also upset to find a mouse in a trap under my daughter's twin bed. Fortunately, we found it before the dog did.

Owner's Response: Thank you Jennifer for taking the time to pass along your concerns. My apologies about any misunderstanding - the building's onsite manager was asking every guest in the building that day if they had seen which dog was in the hot tub. Not fair to the other guests such as yourselves who all had to wait on the draining, cleaning of the tub and filter, refilling with fresh water, reheating and balancing chemicals - all due to someone disregarding the posted rules. Nor is it fair to the owners who must already deal with a large monthly water bill maintaining the building's 1/2 Olympic pool and hot tub. Certainly your group was not being singled out, my apologies if it felt that way to you or any other guest. Being a small condo building at this elevation, on the edge of the Routt National Forrest and a block from the Thunderhead lift, locals and visitors alike attempt to use our parking lot to hike and ski year round. Hence the parking pass we require guests to display on their dash and the fact that our manager is required to keep track of changing vehicles on a daily basis as guests arrive and depart - again my apologies that his intended message was mis-communicated. AC is a rare commodity in the mountains and this summer warmer than usual, still 90% of Steamboat properties - including the surrounding multi million dollar homes we handle, do not have any cooling systems beyond ceiling fans. Which is why we provide multiple fans in each of our units to pull the fresh mountain air in and get it circulating, along with humidifiers to combat the dryness in the air. Definitely a relatable topic as I recall your discussions with the property manager that afternoon went into the fact that our condo's french door was left open to the patio, blocked by the living room coffee table -and- the unit's front door to the ground floor hallway left open and blocked with one of our fabric covered bar height chairs laying on the tile floor. Obviously the plan was more air circulation, but being in the mountains on the edge of the national forest that is exactly how a little field mouse gets into this garden unit. Thank you again for your business. I hope you will consider staying with us again in the future. Happy to put the group on the top floor where you definitely have more windows for circulation and bonus views! Sincerely, Lara

Very comfortable condo in beautiful Steamboat

We stayed for 2 nights while passing through Steamboat and found the condo to be very comfortable for two couples. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed. The building is a little older but the individual condo unit has some very nice upgrades. We enjoyed the pool and beautiful surrounding scenery. Would definitely stay again!

Couldn't be better

We could not have had a better experience at this property. We stayed for 5 nights and this place has it all. Great location, ski-out in the morning, shuttles to take you anywhere and a large hot-tub and heated pool. The unit is top notch and is better in person than the pictures. It was quiet, warm and cozy. The owner was more than accomodating and helped us with all our needs (baby-sitting, ski-rentals, discount lift tickets, etc.). Stop your search, this is where you should stay in Steamboat
