Our home is beautifully decorated and is perched above Ship Harbor and Guemes Channel with awesome views of the harbor, Mt Baker and eagles soaring above. There is a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with all the basics including coffee, sugar, spices, flour and cooking oil.
The ferry's are accessible via a beautiful 20 minute walk along the beach on trails to San Juan Ferry landing. You can drive to the ferry in less than 5 minutes, or leave your car and bike the islands. The San Juan islands and British Columbia are destinations available on the ferry.
Old town Anacortes with quaint shops and gourmet restaurants is biking distance from our home, and we have 3 bikes in the garage for guests to use.
Our home has three bedrooms on the main floor. The master bedroom has a king bed and a full bath. There are two additional bedrooms with queen beds and a full bath on the main floor. On the lower floor, there are two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. There is also a full bathroom on the lower floor.
This is a perfect destination to enjoy the beauty of the San Juan islands and endless hiking and skiing in nearby Mt Baker National Forest. Or, simply relax and unwind in a magical setting!

We love to sail, bike and volunteer our time, and we intend to pursue our passions in the Anacortes area when we retire. In the mean time, we are raising our family in La Crosse Wisconsin.
Ed West purchased this house in 2010
Mary Ellen and I have been vacationing in the area for 25 years and have decided that we want to live in Anacortes when we retire. In the meantime, we will share our home with others so they too can enjoy this beautiful area of the country
Anacortes is an especially great place to do some biking, go whale watching, Kyaking and visits to the San Juan Islands and Victoria via the Washington Ferrys.
It was perfect! We could get used to this view. It was so nice to be able to spread out a bit in the comfort of your house! We will be checking the calendar to see when we can come back."....Swim family from Snohomish
We have stayed at this home several times for quilting retreats. The home is always clean and well kept, and supplied with abundant towels and products for everyday use. The kitchen is well equipped with any item you need to prepare your meals. The beds are very comfortable, we always enjoy a good nights sleep after a long day of sewing! We especially look forward to the beautiful view! The owners are wonderful people and have always been very helpful during our stays. The "Rather be Stitching" gals
The house was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean! The owners were excellent communicators and we had everything we needed. The house was stocked. Next time we visit Anacortes, my first choice is staying in this house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thanks for opening your home to us.
What an incredible space to spend time in Anacortes. The location has fantastic views of the water, mountains & ferry while being conveniently located close to downtown. Every detail is thought of including a well laid out kitchen to luxurious linens & bathrobes. The owners are incredibly responsive & available and their home is cared for lovingly. We look forward to a return visit.
This house was wonderful...met all our needs...great space and accommodations, and gorgeous view for relaxing!
And, working with Ed was great. He responded promptly to all our inquiries and questions.
This is a great property. There is plenty of space for a family gathering or just a weekend get away. The location is great and it's a quick drive to town or the ferry dock. The owner was very easy to work with and the accommodations were great. The kitchen provides a great space and the deck provides a stunning view for watching the sunset. We definitely enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Anacortes, and we especially appreciated the beautiful home of Ed West. The home is well cared for, is clean, and has a beautiful view of the San Juan Islands and surrounding waters. Access to the ferry, downtown, and hiking and biking trails is within a few minutes of the house, and Deception Pass and Whidbey Island are only 15 minutes away. Our vacation was an all around wonderful experience, in large part because of the home in which we were lucky enough to stay. Thank you Ed and Mary Ellen West! We will be back next year.
