This is a privately owned apartment in South Beach available for for short-term rentals (ideally 1-3 months). The prices are very reasonable, considering this is a very busy popular destination and vacation spot - with many festivals and events (Film, Music, Arts, and Sports) coming to town. The cost is less than half the cost of the nearby luxury hotels.

Building Name: Roney Palace
The location is ideal for South Beach. It is directly on the beach, right off 23rd St and right where all the new hotels/restaurants are located (W Hotel, Setai, and the new One Residences Hotel).
Lincoln Rd mall is about a 5 min walk away Ocean Drive (starts on 14th St) is about a 10 min walk down the beach
. The main pool also easily leads down to the beach. Once outside, you can use your access card to get towels and chairs from the hotel staff.
3. TV & Internet:
The living toom has a plasma TV with numerous digital cable options. I have high-speed WiFi internet in the condo as well.
There are many fresh/clean towels under the sink, as well as 1 hair dryer. There's also a large walk-in closet next to the bathroom for your clothes. There is a one shower with a tub.
5. Valet Parking:
I own a valet spot for one car/truck if you need parking. The valet is right out front (23rd St entrance) so you can call ahead to have your car ready. There is no additional charge to use my spot.
- Laundry: there is a laundry room directly across from the apt, making it very easy to wash clothes if needed.
- Kitchen: the kitchen has a full range of stainless steel appliances; microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. The cabinets have a full stock of plates, cups, silverware, etc. I also have a coffee machine for you to make coffee
- Access Cards: the building is run like a hotel, so an access card is required to gain entrance to the elevators, as well as the main pool deck. It is a very secure building.

Apartment was pleasant and comfortable, well decorated--exactly as depicted in photos. Plenty of shelves and cabinets for storage. Everything was clean on arrival, except for oven which was filled with grease. When we attempted to self-clean the oven, the door locked in place and needed repair. We contacted the manager the first week of our one month stay and it was never repaired. Available closet space is limited to one closet in bedroom which is divided with shelves on the bottom half, too short for dresses or coats. The storage closet is locked by the owners, and a broom and dustpan stand unattractively in the kitchen.

My gf and I visited the condo early April 2011. Gladys was on time ready to greet us. Great condo, even greater amenities at the Gansevoort that you will have full access to.
Valet parking was quick and reliable. Location of the roney is fantastic. 10 min to Lincoln road. 30 min walk to 2nd and Collins. Also right across the street from Walgreens which made it very convenient.
Will be visiting again.
You will not find a better agent for a condo rental at the Roney, or anywhere in Miami Beach from our agent Gladys. The location, cleanliness, and spaciousness can not be surpassed for the price. The cable t.v with over 400 channels a big plus. Quality, price and location far surpassed our expectations. We already booked next year upon departure. Try Phillipe Chow, right downstairs, for a great romantic dinner of gourmet Chinese infusion.
We recently rented VRBO property #309174 but the owner put us in this property, #326584, instead. When we rented #309174 we did not know that the owner had more than one property in the same building. We were not happy about the change.
Property 326584 is on the 4th floor (Apt. 431) and overlooks Collins Avenue, which is quite busy and noisy at night. (The owner told us that property #309174 is on the 9th floor.) Additionally, the apartment does not have a beach view. The owner’s VRBO webpage states under "Vacation Rental Features" that the property "View/location" is "beachfront" which is misleading. The apartment only has a view of buildings on Collins Avenue. We had an additional problem during our stay because the owner did not registered us in advance as a guest with building management as required by building regulations. When we went to register our car for valet parking, building management noticed that we had a photo ID elevator key that belonged to the owner and confiscated it saying that we were supposed to have special guest keys for the elevator. Since the owner had not registered us, management would not give us another elevator key until the owner complied with the guest registration requirements. Building management also advised us that owners are not allowed to rent apartments in the building for less than 30 day periods. (We had rented for four nights.) Additionally, it should be noted that the apartment did not have a washer/dryer or CD player in the apartment as advertised.
In fairness I have to say that the property is probably a decent value for the area. Although it was not as pretty as property # 309174 that we had rented, the apartment was clean and comfortable (except for the street noise) and the owner managed to get us another elevator key within a few hours. Unfortunately, our stay was soured by the hassle and the fact that we didn't receive the apartment or view we were expecting.
VRBO has since advised us to make sure we take out insurance to protect ourselves against this type of occurrence and to make sure we have signed written contracts, not just e-mail to document the rental.
