About Amanda Glendenning

This picture was taken on our annual Friends and Family float on the beautiful, spring-fed Niangua River. What a great time we had! The cabin is just minutes from our Campground ... which is called Riverfront. Riverfront offers 250 beautiful acres of camping along the bank of the Niangua River. While staying at the cabin, your family and friends should consider a rafting, canoeing, tubing or kayaking trip. Great Memories!!

Why Amanda Glendenning chose Missouri

There are few lodging options for larger families or friends near the Niangua River. When this property came on the market, we jumped on it because it fits a niche. It is just one mile from Riverfront. We offer a free shuttle service for float trips which makes this awesome vacation home perfect for groups wanting to come stay and play on the Niangua River. It is an amazing feeling to be on the river all day and then return to a clean comfortable cabin to relax.

What makes this cabin unique

Danceyard Cabin has many unique characteristics. The second we walked into the cabin, we wanted it. The high ceilings, tongue and groove siding, and the large open floor plan makes this home very inviting. The finished basement provides a lot of additional square footage. There is a large covered porch off the back of the cabin that is simply wonderful for evening meals or morning coffee. The cabin sits on a private 3 acre lot which offers lots of privacy for campfires, story telling, and smores.

Best Cabin experience near Bennett Springs

  • 5 of 5

I have been going to Bennett for over 30 years and this is without a doubt the nicest cabin and best value we have found. It is super clean and appeared to be recently built. It has everything you need from a BBQ grill, Covered deck w/ Tiki torches, big fire pit, and walk out basement. Inside there is a cool old wood burning stove, full appliances including fridge, stove, coffee maker, washer/dryer and even cable TV. The house was even stocked with pots and pans, paper towels, TP and coffee filters etc. We went with two families and it is big enough that you have some privacy and plenty of beds to sleep everyone. I'd imagine if you used the air mattresses we saw stored in the basement you could comfortably have a really big group there as it is very spacious. The family that rents the house is local and very accessible/responsive if you have any questions or need anything (and incredibly nice people to boot!). Quit searching and get a reservation for this place before the secret is out! Just please don't pick a weekend we aren't going down because my girlfriend said she won't stay anywhere else again ;)

Owner's Response: You guys are amazing people and Jason and I knew you would enjoy the cabin. Being avid trout fisherman, Danceyard is the perfect cabin for your group. We are glad you enjoyed the accommodations. We are currently landscaping the front yard so our guests can enjoy an evening BBQ together. We look forward to having you guys back and thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

What a Blast!!!

  • 5 of 5

Where so I begin? Loved, loved, loved this place!! Myself and nine other friends just had the most amazing Labor Day weekend! What a beautiful, roomy cabin! We were never in each others way and the back deck is amazing! Woke up early in the mornings to watch the beautiful sunrise (and also enjoyed the rain at times). The cabin provided absolutely everything we needed! Plenty of towels, toilet paper, and trash bags! We only had this for three nights, but next year would love to have for the whole week! This would be great for families with children!!! We enjoyed yummy catfish at the Gravel bar, a day of floating, a day of the park and relaxing! So sad we had to leave so soon! The description and pictures were pretty accurate. One king, one queen, one full, one twin, and 2 hide a beds, also there was a air mattress there at the cabin also! Nice big bathrooms! We prepped our food before we left so we did not spend a lot of time in the kitchen! Wished the grill was bigger, but when your hungry food can't even cook fast enough for a large crowd! Loved that there were cleaning supplies and brooms as well as a washer and dryer. The back deck at night was awesome and we played several games of cards against humanity out there! We will for sure plan another trip next year and this time hopefully for a week!

Cozy & Clean

  • 5 of 5

What a great cabin. Extremely clean and roomy. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the awesome deck as it snowed in May !!! So we are definitely going back - much nicer than the Bennett accomadations we were used to.

Great upgrade from the Park Cabins

  • 5 of 5

We've been coming to the Park for years on a "Guys Fishing Week". We finally decided to look into nicer accomodations, and this place really delivered on every level. Beautiful rooms, the deck was a huge bonus, the kitchen had everything we needed (we cook every night), the beds were comfortbale, etc. The cabin was clean and having a washer/dryer was a nice extra. Couldn't believe the room and how nice it was.

And, turned out we were really almost as close to the fishing as we were before! Just a LOT more comfortbale.

The crew at Riverfront could not have been nicer to work with whether it was showing us the place when we first came to visit or addressing any questions we had before we arrived or while we were in town. Really nice people to deal with and that was important to us as well. We certainly plan to return again.

The First of Many Family Fishing Trips to Come

  • 5 of 5

Ten of us (including grandma, 5 grandchildren, and 4 other adults) came to stay at DanceYard Hollow Lodge for a family fishing trip that was a Christmas gift to give us a chance to be together for more than just Christmas. DanceYard Hollow was perfect for us. All of us was under one roof with plenty of space to move around in. Sleeping arrangements could not have been better. The large yard and multiple televisions were a huge plus for all of us. The dogs that we brought with us also enjoyed a yard to move around in and loved being with the family.

The closeness of Bennett Springs was very nice. Leaving and going back for afternoon fishing was so easy to do. Restaurants are not that far away to visit for a meal if cooking at the cabin is not a part of your vacation plans. We loved being able to cook "our catch" at the end of our awesome days of fishing.

Our only complaint was the one shower. With ten of us it was a constant rotation for about two and a half hours to get all of us clean.

Very Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved this off the beaten path yet close to everything property. This home was very comfortable and accomodating. We had two families together in this cabin and we all slept comfortably and had room to do as we pleased. We played catch in the spacious yard. We hiked the surrounding woods. We had marvelous campfires each night. It was the best of the area without having to sleep on the ground and hike to the restroom in the middle of the night. Only downside was only one shower. Another full bath, even if only a shower stall, would make this place perfect. It is, nonetheless, on my keeper list! We will be back!
