Mill Valley House Rental Photos and Description

2 BR + Convertible bed, 2.5 BA; walking distance to downtown (sleeps 4-6)

Dwell Magazine-inspired, custom Marin County contemporary home in the very desirable quiet West Blithedale Canyon area, sunny exposure, set among the Redwoods of Marin County. Furnished with new and original mid-century modern furniture. An easy walk through a redwood grove and along creek to charming downtown Mill Valley, with its vintage movie house, boutiques, the Depot Bookstore, grocery stores, high-end and casual restaurants, and live music and theater venues like the historic Sweetwater Music Hall and 142 Throckmorton.

Living Room/Formal Dining Room:

Vintage mid-century modern dining table that seats eight, ceiling fans, and wood burning stove/fireplace. Electronics include hideaway flatscreen HD-TV with Blue Ray DVD, iPod port, AM/FM tuner, and cable TV. Contemporary art throughout, lots of windows for natural light with a sunny deck off the well-appointed kitchen and views of the redwoods. European white oak or limestone flooring in main living areas and in-floor heating throughout the house.

Please Note: On premises parking available for three cars, very important in Marin. Also important is easy access to the house from the street, across a bridge over a charming natural stream.

Beautiful relaxing retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in your beautiful home. It met every comfort need, and with style and charm! The kitchen was so well appointed and we loved eating in the dining area and on the deck looking out at the stunningly beautiful trees. The bedrooms were so comfortable and restful! The master bathroom with its steam shower was spa like! The location is perfect, within walking distance to downtown, but set among the trees so you feel you are out in the forest. It was a perfect spot for our family gathering! Adrienne was a delight to work with, always responding to questions right away and sharing great suggestions on our stay. We could not have enjoyed our visit any more - it was perfect!

A true piece of jewelry!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place to start our Californian road trip, felt like being at home.

Quiet, cozy, welcoming, friendly neighborhood, very well equipped - we couldn't think of anything missing!

The house is good starting point for activities in the north bay (Muir woods just a stones throw away, Point Reyes, Nappa) and San Francisco (just take the ferry from Sausalito or even go by car).

We stayed four 6 nights & would have loved to stay longer.

Adrienne is a super host - always accessible & very supportive with recommendations.

Gorgeous home

I loved staying at this property. It is well maintained and the location can't be beat. After staying at other VRBOs, I can tell you that the cost of this space is well worth it. I will definitely be back.

A stylish gem sits amongst the trees in Mill Valley

  • 5 of 5

Nestled away in the best area of Mill Valley, sits a gem of a house. The various outdoor sitting areas provide such a peaceful atmosphere, it's truly hard to leave this house. The beautiful layout provided views from every window upstairs and downstairs. I found myself ordering dinner in as I wanted to enjoy the uniqueness of the house, from the design and details to the surroundings. The location is key -- whether you just want to enjoy the town or hop on your bike to cycle or hike Mt. Tam, it is right out the door. The options for dining, cycling and hiking are top notch.

I extended my stay, as I just could not leave...and I cannot wait to go back. Every detail is thought of for the guests. You will see...it's a very special place.
