We are serious gardeners and stewards of our land. Our farm brings us much joy and we enjoy sharing the bounty we produce with others. We are resident hosts and are inviting you to visit our life. You may have complete privacy or choose to take part in the activities of the farm. We welcome children and enjoy including them in the discovery of the farm.
Elisabeth Marshall purchased this cottage in 1984
Our farm provides nearly everything we need and it is close to beautiful beaches, exhilarating hikes, good bike riding, a world-class restaurant, friendly neighbors. You will not find a comparable place on the island.
Fabulous, fabulous! Wish we could have stayed for weeks. Beautiful appointments personal touches everywhere. Comfortable and beautiful. Thank you for our warm welcome to Lummi Island.
enjoyed fresh produce from the stand and daughter loved the chickens! House is wonderful!
Our experience reiterates all the previous accolades… Peaceful, thoughtful and gracious owners, wonderful staff, (Rachel and Justin) clean and well appointed accommodations, and the perfect getaway for my husband and I.
We enjoyed riding bikes that were provided by Liz and Mark. The island is beautiful and the weather was perfect. I forgot my iPad at home and appreciated the all the sounds of nature and the beauty that was everywhere. It was a superior replacement to technology for rejuvenating and awakening one's soul. We would love to return and stay in this lovely cottage again!
Our stay at the Full Bloom Farm on Lummi Island was wonderful. It is beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. Elisabeth has taken care of every detail inside and out. Birds are plentiful and several deer walked by. It was a quiet, restful stay. We would highly recommend a stay here and we'll be back next time we visit Lummi Island. Ron and Peggy, Yamhill, Oregon
This is our second year at Full Bloom Farm and we can't say enough about it. Beautiful location and amenities. Mark and Lis could not be better hosts.
Our stay at Full Bloom Farm couldn't have been better! Lis and Mark are lovely hosts and made us feel so welcome during our stay. The house is beautifully furnished and the outdoor surroundings are so beautiful.
The weather was rough, but the accommodations were cozy, warm and full of great art. Hosts were approachable and helpful with information about the area, but very respectful of privacy and letting you enjoy your time. Dinner at the Willows Inn was a treat, but did not regret staying elsewhere. Nice walking trails nearby. Fell in love with the island and will be back with kids!
Full Bloom Farm is located on an idyllic NW island in the Salish Sea. The views from the farm are open and expansive, across grass pasture and fields of peonies, deciduous and evergreen woods, stream and pond with abundant wildlife. Resident and migrating birds abound; song, sea and raptor.
Beaches are pebble and sand with driftwood and seaweed. In the summer swimming is possible on west facing beaches.
The island community is friendly and modest; people here are helpful, but private. We have a spectacular community library, an elementary school, a general grocery store, a post office, a charming cafe, and a world-class restaurant. There are numerous small businesses ranging from construction to massage. Many artists have studios here and sell their pieces from them. Artist Studio Tour weekends occur four times a year.
At Full Bloom Farm we sell fruit and vegetables and cut flowers in season at our farm stand, peony roots year around as available, and eggs always.
Outdoor activities are numerous. There are wonderful hikes, from easy to challenging. We have a very effective land trust organization which supports several publicly accessible conservation areas and a community garden. One of the conservation areas borders our farm on two sides.
Bike riding is safe, easy and fun! We offer guests three bicycles, (small, medium and large), in tuned-up condition for their unlimited use.
Lummi Island is a bit of a food mecca. The Willows Restaurant has been named one of the ten restaurants in the world worth flying to! The chef is a wunderkind who learned at Noma, in Denmark: named the best restaurant in the world. The Beach Store Cafe is supervised by the same chef. While it is very inviting, it is also quite humble and unassuming; the food is good, nourishing and creative.
There is a lovely, well-attended church on the island (Congregational). It is a abutted by an historic graveyard and backed by woods and beach. Our annual Harvest Festival is held there.
