Why Sherry McConkey chose Los Cabos
We bought this property as we live in the mountains and we also love the ocean, this place is so easy to fly to and access all the things we love.
What makes this Condo unique
The view is incredible, they surf is right in front of the condo, close shopping, great people and very comfortable.

Amazing views and great value
We just left after a week at Las Olas and could not have been happier with our stay. The condo is not the most up-to-date, but everything is in working order and has all the necessities. We really appreciated that the patio facing the ocean had an umbrella, as the afternoon sun would shine through with no way to block it otherwise (we noticed a lot of other units had no umbrella). I've read some negative reviews about the property backing up to the highway, which it does, but with the AC/fan on you don't even notice it while sleeping. The AC was a lot colder in the living room than the bedroom, so if you just open the bedroom door it helps to circulate better. The bed is quite firm (which we like), and my only suggestion for improvement would be an upgrade in pillows as they were quite flat and lumpy. But there were 4 so that we were thankful for!
The grounds were maintained very well and the staff was always available to answer questions. If you're using the Home Away app, be sure to check "Property Details" as your trip gets closer, this is where the check in information can be found.
Overall I'd recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again. It would sleep 4 comfortably with the trundle-style couch bed.
Fantastic views of the ocean with great sun rise and moon rise. views from the balcony
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will come back again. The views from the balcony are great over looking the ocean and we even saw a mother whale and her baby from the balcony.
We liked that it is a gated facility and felt very safe here, we also liked the convenience of the pool and never had a problem getting a lounge at the pool side.
Sherry is great to deal with, responds promptly and is very truthful and trustworthy.
We had a blast this is perfect for a couple who wants to get away. Quiet and peaceful, San Jose is a laid back atmosphere. The surfing is the best and we will be back.
Memories of Sunrises to Last a Lifetime
Spent two weeks at Las Olas in February 2018 and loved it. Spectacular sunrises will forever be etched in our minds. From the balcony you will love the changing vistas: surfers riding the breaking waves; grey whales putting on shows that can be viewed with binoculars that come with the place; nearby palms swaying gently in the light breezes; and the sun's rays coaxing their way through glasses of pink-colored white zinfandel.
The condo complex is a nice mix of all age groups and is very "chill". Sherry's unit was well suited to our needs. We were able to cook most of our meals there--fresh fish (try the medium or large shrimp purchased from the fish truck); organic produce bought at the San Jose Market on Saturday and the obligatory Modelo Negra cerveza. You are close to the highway but can block the noise at night if you are a light sleeper by using the a.c. and closing the door. Most importantly, there is everything you need in the unit: utensils; cooler; reusable shopping bags; bbq; wireless; and Netflix (no satellite or cable so make sure your Netflix subscription is up-to-date).
We did not rent a car and had no trouble getting around. We walked the beach into town almost every day. If you prefer, bus service is convenient and inexpensive regardless whether you are headed into San Jose or journeying to Cabo San Lucas. After walking to San Jose we loaded up on groceries at La Comera (formerly Mega) and cabbed it back--about $8 US. One word of caution at La Comera. Those super-friendly and helpful "staff" dressed in white tops and sporting name tags are not employees of the store. They are salespeople who seem to know the minute you arrive in town, ingratiate you into their confidence and then work you relentlessly to attend a "free breakfast" and receive other "free" goodies for a mere 90 minute presentation. Do your homework. If you don't, you might become one of the horror stories you can read about online.
Finally, Sherry herself is terrific--responsive, helpful and very knowledgeable. You won't be disappointed spending your hard-earned money on a vacation at her condo.
A beautiful setting for a mid-winter respite.
Right on the beach with full access and in a secure location. The grounds are maintained daily and the views of the beach and the Sea of Cortez are simply spectacular. Very close access to stores and shopping and many sites and activities. Just a short drive from the airport and also a short drive to the tip of the peninsula and Cabo San Lucas. Great overall location.
Awesome Location, Great Property and Condo!
Just finished 10 days in this condo and couldn't be happier with it and with the care, responsiveness and helpfulness of the owner (Sherry) and the property manager (Laury). On-site staff were also always helpful and friendly and the location was perfect - on what they tell me is a world-class surfing beach but which also works very well as a swimming beach. And what a beach it is to walk! Easy walking distance (if you like walking) to lots of restaurants and two major grocery stores - even to the historic center of San Jose. But the best recommendation I can give is that we'll be back!
Costa Azul. 20 min from airport, very short walk to Zippers Other Activities: rock climbing, boating, wildlife viewing, health/beauty spa, racquetball, shopping, kayaking, basketball
