Boston is a city filled with history and culture and features some of the most world renowed hospitals and institutions of higher learning. Our waterfront is busy and beautiful! Boston is often refered to as a 'walkable city' getting you to sites by either foot, train, trolley or subway. The cape and islands are either a short drive, ferry ride or bus ride away. One of our favorites is Martha's vineyard. Maine is an hour away and the outlets in either NH or MA are 45-60 minutes by car. A lot of our visitors like to tour Salem and check out the witch museum and harbor. For the children and adults the Children's Museum, Aquarium and Science Museums are a must!
You have the opportunity to purchase discount tickets to local area attractions. Just ask Cyndi! We also provide Charlie Cards for your first trip on the bus or train. Just replenish what you use for the next guest to get started.
Thoroughly enjoyable stay in your lovely apartment- felt like home. Fabulous bed! Loved the outside private area. The Carlie Cards you gave us were superb and so simple to use. The no. 50 bus at the top of the street made our journey to the station very relaxed. After a day in Boston lovely to come back to this haven of peace and quiet.
Thank You both so very much.
Great room with space for 2-3 people. Good price for staying near Boston. It's 1 big room with lots of seating, 2-3 beds and a full kitchen with coffee, provided! We used Lyft instead of public transportation. With the 3 of us, it wasn't much more expensive and we had great Lyft drivers. No buses or trains to wait on or figure out. Really enjoyed the stay!
While writing the review for our vacation of last week I realised I had not done so for our vacation of last year, so here I am a year late!
It was the perfect spot for us, my boyfriend and I were going with my parents to a preseason game of the Patriots and we all stayed there for the weekend. My parents slept in the larger bed and my boyfriend and I used the other 2 beds; we are both short so it was ok, but I would not recommend it for 2 tall adults!
The place is nice, clean, the location is good for Gilette Stadium and visiting Boston. We first thought about going visiting Boston via public transit since I heard parking in Boston was a nightmare, but it's not a nightmare at all and it's close by so going with the car was perfectly fine!
We had a problem while there with the hot water; there was not enough for our 4 showers back to back, so we scheduled for 2 in the morning and 2 at night, but I told the owner and they took care of it.
Owners are nice and helpful, don't hesitate and book there!!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The art work by John was impressive to view! We didn't arrive until after 2am due to flight delays, but we were still welcomed by Cindy who showed us everything. Highly recommend for those visiting Boston.
My son and I stayed here for 4 nights as we toured Boston and the surrounding areas. It was perfect for us. The price was very fair, the room was very clean and we had everything we needed for a relaxing home base. We drove to the closest T line the first morning. Once we parked, within 15 minutes we were standing in Boston Commons. I enjoyed sitting out on the patio as the weather was gorgeous! John and Cindy were great hosts and I am very glad we decided to rent this apartment.
The apartment we stayed in was perfect, and very clean. We had everything we needed and privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable and having cable and free WiFi was an awesome bonus. We enjoyed the hottub and having towels provided. It was also nice to know we could wash our clothes before we left. I was happy to have our own private entrance. The humidifier really helped also. It was a very cozy and peaceful stay and we recommend this place to everyone.
This property has everything you need! Parking is right in front of the house. The washer and dryer were a major plus. Huge hot tub steps away from your door tucked nicely below the deck for ultimate privacy. Yard with beautiful mature trees to provide plenty of shade and enjoyable garden with patio furniture to enjoy breakfast outside before heading out for a day of fun. Quiet safe neighborhood. Easy access to grocery store. Refrigerator, dishes, griddle, microwave to easily make simple meals. We rented a car and drove to the local metro station to get to the heart of the city. There is also a bus that takes you to the metro station if you don't have a car. Owners very welcoming and easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again.
Other Activities: Shopping, Kayaking, Boating, Wildlife Viewing, Health/Beauty Spa, Miniature golf
Golf: We are about a 10 minute walk to the George Wright Golf Course. It was designed by Donald Ross in 1938 and is well maintained by the City. It was named Best Municipal Course in MA and 14th best in the US according to Golf Digest. In 2009 it was the MGA ameturer qualifying site.
Ski: The Blue Hill Mountains, the highest point in Boston not only offers great hiking trails but also skiing and snow boarding. It is a 15 minute drive to this wonderful area. When we don't have snow in the winter they make it. You can see some of the slopes from our home and see them making the snow.
