Why Cynthia and John Monteiro chose Boston

Boston is a city filled with history and culture and features some of the most world renowed hospitals and institutions of higher learning. Our waterfront is busy and beautiful! Boston is often refered to as a 'walkable city' getting you to sites by either foot, train, trolley or subway. The cape and islands are either a short drive, ferry ride or bus ride away. One of our favorites is Martha's vineyard. Maine is an hour away and the outlets in either NH or MA are 45-60 minutes by car. A lot of our visitors like to tour Salem and check out the witch museum and harbor. For the children and adults the Children's Museum, Aquarium and Science Museums are a must!

What makes this apartment unique

You have the opportunity to purchase discount tickets to local area attractions. Just ask Cyndi! We also provide Charlie Cards for your first trip on the bus or train. Just replenish what you use for the next guest to get started.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in your lovely apartment- felt like home. Fabulous bed! Loved the outside private area. The Carlie Cards you gave us were superb and so simple to use. The no. 50 bus at the top of the street made our journey to the station very relaxed. After a day in Boston lovely to come back to this haven of peace and quiet.

Thank You both so very much.

Car: not necessary

Other Activities: Shopping, Kayaking, Boating, Wildlife Viewing, Health/Beauty Spa, Miniature golf

Golf: We are about a 10 minute walk to the George Wright Golf Course. It was designed by Donald Ross in 1938 and is well maintained by the City. It was named Best Municipal Course in MA and 14th best in the US according to Golf Digest. In 2009 it was the MGA ameturer qualifying site.

Ski: The Blue Hill Mountains, the highest point in Boston not only offers great hiking trails but also skiing and snow boarding. It is a 15 minute drive to this wonderful area. When we don't have snow in the winter they make it. You can see some of the slopes from our home and see them making the snow.

Comfortable and Welcoming

  • 5 of 5

Had a great visit in Boston with this home as our base. Thank you Cindy & John for being so warm and accommodating! It was wonderful to stay in a home where it was apparent you had considered the needs your guests may have and planned for those.

We were 3 sisters traveling and this home was in a very safe neighborhood. We used Public transportation and Lyft to travel into downtown which was very easy.

The home was large enough for the 3 of us and we also enjoyed the outside patio area.

Thank you so much!

Newnan, GA

Very neat and quiet apartment with great host and hostess.

  • 5 of 5

Cindi and John could not have been nicer. They responded immediately to my request to rent and for every question I had before arrival. They made special arrangements for our especially late arrival into Boston from Atlanta. It was great coming home in the evening to a neat quiet place after busy days in town. Cannot think of any need they did not meet. My granddaughter and I would gladly stay there again.

It was adequate

  • 3 of 5

The owners were very kind, but it was not the best choice for us. The low ceilings (not mentioned in the description) proved to be a definite drawback, and even though we draped towels, it was an inconvenience for those 6' and over. Also the basement really needs a dehumidifier. This would help the mustiness. My son was going to use the hot tub on a cool evening our last night, but it was only half full of water. The owners are extremely nice and they have a lovely home, but this property just wasn't the best fit for us.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry the unit didn't meet all your needs. We do have a dehuminifer but we hadn't needed to use it recently. I will make sure it's accessible to our guest so they can use at their leisure. The hot tub was actually serviced today so it's up and ready to go. I hope you enjoyed our beautiful city!

Beautiful, private, close by, and well stocked.

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I attended a convention in Boston and didn't want to stay in downtown Boston. We looked for a place to stay that we could be out a little bit and use public transportation. This site has its own private entrance and free parking. Cindi and John are very knowledgeable about their city and are great with advice. Their place was well stocked and very clean. We also felt very safe in the Roslindale area as well as our public transportations. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Warm and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

Cindy and John gave us a warm welcome to their quaint and cozy home. We were rushed with graduation activities but were actually able to fit in some relaxation in the backyard, at the museum and Harvard Square. All the amenities of a home made it that much better. Thanks for your warm generosity.
