This beautiful mountain retreat is owned by 5 couples who are the best of friends, and have been for over 20 Years. We built the cabin in 2006 and have been enjoying it with our families ever since. We all have families ranging in age from 12 to 75 years old. That does not include grand kids who are excited to come to the cabin every chance they get. Our families have been strengthened as we spend time together playing games, hiking and enjoying this mountain setting. We welcome you and hope that you too will fall in love with this serene and spectacular retreat.

We built in this location because of it's beauty, and the peace and tranquility we experience each time we arrive. It has year round access, and the county road is well maintained making winter access possible, as well. We have deer, moose and other wildlife that are frequently within close proximity to the cabin. The views are spectacular.
My family of four sons and their wives and children select a cabin every year for an annual reunion and we've done so for 10 straight years. This is the finest. Beautiful spacious home with excellent accomodations. The kitchen, eating, and visiting areas are superb. It is the whole package. Every part of it was excellent. Secluded gorgeous setting. Fantastic trails. This is the best mountain setting, most comfortable home, most capably managed deal we've ever had. Thanks DK.

Perfect for our small family reunion!
The house is even more beautiful than the pictures, and it was comf spacious for our party of 16. My personal favorite features were the sitting room with large windows facing the pine forest, and the spacious deck. We spent a lot of time out on the deck, whether it was grilling, taking a morning beverage out there to drink in the sunrise, or sitting out there in a group around the patio fire pit and star-gazing.
The property itself doesn't seem to be very large, and most of the land around appears to be privately owned. We went on some short walks on the nearby gravel roads, but there isn't much in the area (the stream provides nice visual and audible ambiance but is mostly inaccessible, and we didn't find any hiking trails). But the house is certainly nice enough to happily hang out in (it's well-stocked with board games, toys, and movies) and it's located within a short drive of a lot of neat things. We took a day trip to Cascade Springs, another to Mirror Lake in the Uintahs, and a visit to one of the several nearby reservoirs. Park City was also a contender, but the pretty little mountain valley setting of our retreat made us crave more nature experiences.
Only quibble is that the 9am checkout time was a bit early, since there's a lot to do on your way out of a rental property. It was a bit of a flurry, but we made it.
I would definitely recommend staying here, and if we ever have an event where we could use the house again, I would do it in a heartbeat!
My overall impression of the home and surrounding area was impressive and the price reasonable. However, upon my attempt to book this home for a family reunion on days that WERE AVAILABlE, I was told the owner wanted to stay there and therefore it was UNAVAILABLE. I was ready to pay in full and only had a question concerning a glitch on the homeaway site itself that didn't allow you to book it for the 4 night minimum stay. It would make you book it for 5 nights. I can understand that an owner wants to stay there since it is there place. However, when their home is listed as available and not blocked out for those days it shouldn't be on a rental home site unless the days are blocked out before a customer attempts to book it. We now have to start all over and hope to find something asap somewhere else.
Our family consisted of 12 adults and 16 children ranging in age from 12 - 1. There were enough beds for all of us. The house is quite lovely with a main floor that was large enough that we could all eat together at the same time. It was well worth the modest price.
This home was even more beautiful in person than we expected. The beds and bedding are comfortable and attractive (there is plenty of extra bedding in the closets), the home is decorated beautifully, it is well stocked with all the necessities (especially for cooking and eating), and there was plenty of room for our large group (24 people) to gather, eat together, and play together. The outdoors were beautiful and quiet, perfect for walks and playing in the snow. We hope to be able to rent this home again soon!
We held a Family Reunion in this beautiful home. 28 people in all. It was even more spacious than we expected. Tons of dining/seating areas. Smaller areas to lounge and chat away from the crowds. No complaints. We loved the scenic views and the pretty stream that passed by. Nice location. Thank you for offering your wonderful place for our vacation. The owner was very nice and accommodating- very easy to work with. Had a great rental experience. Thanks!
This house was absolutely beautiful! We called it our "mini Yellowstone" because the surroundings were so amazing. Beautiful porches allow you to enjoy the scenery and river. The listing was very accurate, as well as, the pictures. We had 35 people stay in the home for girls camp and we still had lots of room. Plenty of beds and seating for everyone! The owners were great to work with and were very easy to contact. There are lots of beautiful hikes to take around the property. Everyone loved playing pool and ping pong inside the house. The house was very clean and well maintained! Everyone wants to come back next year and have girls camp there again! I would highly recommend this house to everyone because you won't be disappointed! Thank you for sharing your amazing home!
