Northeast Portland Apartment Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 7)

Beautiful 1908 Craftsman home(upper apartment) in the heart of one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Portland. This is urban living at it's finest. Beautiful, high end historic homes, gorgeous tree lined boulevards, wonderful people, and extremely close to many wonderful restaurants and shopping. This is one of the best neighborhoods in Portland without a doubt. The wonderful and energetic neighborhoods of Alameda, Beaumont-Wilshire, Concordia, Laurelhurst and Grant Park all surround Historic Irvington, but she is the Grand Dame of them all!

A car is not absolutely necessary, walk to the MAX(transportation system) in10 min and the bus line is 200 feet from the street. You are a 5-10 minute walk from literally 20 restaurants. 5 minutes walking to Lloyd Center and 8 minute walk to the Rose Quarter. Downtown/Pearl District is a 5 minute drive or 9 minutes on the MAX.

Your upper, secured apartment has been completely restored with the original hardware. This home has been extensively remodeled in every way. Old world style, wood framed, dual pane windows keep the unit cozy in winter and cool in the summer.

The vast majority of the vacation rentals in Portland operate illegally, but this house has the coveted 'Conditional Use' permit that the city requires in order to run a vacation rental for short term stays permit # 08-175885-000-00-LU. This house is a legal B&B, but has 3 separate, fully locked and functioning apartments. There are no shared spaces. Please ask us about alternative transportation options.

Our caretakers live onsite, tucked away in an apartment on the main level. Feel free to ask them for help at anytime.

No details have been spared with respects to furnishings, this is a real upscale home with all the accoutrements you would expect(or hope to have) in your own home. Viking range, stainless steel appliances, 32' flat screen TV, Bose stereo, Francis Francis X1 espresso machine, wireless internet, stainless steel cookware and handmade copper pots I brought back from the north of Italy!

A raised herb and vegetable garden on the south side of the house is available to you.

The backyard is available for the guests of this unit. It comes complete with an herb garden(for your cooking pleasure) pergola and built in stainless steel BBQ and sink. Enjoy Portland's weather in complete privacy. You will get our recommendations for activities and complimentary coffee and tea.

The unit is extremely luxurious, it will guarantee you a wonderful experience in Portland. This is a beautiful home, and we absolutely love it. We know that you will feel the same. Come and be part of our family as you sample all that Irvington Neighborhood and Portland has to offer!

About The Owner

My name is Mark Reinoso, and my wife's name is Abigail Stewart. I have a daughter, Lauren, from my first marriage. Abby and I have a 6 year old son together, Rocco and a 2.5 year old girl named Zara(pronounced za-da)

We spend a lot of time in Portland, and since we spend 2-3 months here a year, I can honestly say 'welcome to our home!'

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005

Why The Owner chose Portland

I have always loved the Pacific Northwest, though my daughter, family and my business are in Phoenix. Most of my maternal family is from this area, and many relatives still live near here. My mother was born in Vancouver, WA and used to come down to the Lloyd Center to shop with her mother when she was very young. She has fond memories of this place. When she first saw this house and this neighborhood, she literally cried.

I have always had a great time here. I love the neighborhood. I love my neighbors and the general vibe that Portland has. I love the people, and even the weather(most of the time). I enjoy the fact that you can go hiking or biking in the AM, and be back in time for lunch at a fabulous restaurant. I love that nothing looks the same, that everything is unique. This is definitely not suburbia.

What makes this apartment unique

I guess I could go on and on, but I really like the urban lifestyle. You can walk anywhere from the Irvington Neighborhood. The gardens and yards are just unbelievable.

There are tons of great restaurants and coffee shops everywhere you turn. Portland is such a great destination in every way, and I think Irvington neighborhood is the crown jewel of it all.

I have put tons of money and all my heart and soul into this property, and I think and hope it shows. I hope you enjoy this house as much as I do.

Perfect for a girls' weekend!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I traveled to Portland to run the Vancouver, WA half marathon. We wanted to all stay together vs. multiple hotel rooms and Irvington House fit the bill perfectly. The location was perfect - just 8 miles from our race location, but less than a 10 minute drive (or a healthy walk) to all the different neighborhoods in Portland. We rented a car and parked the car right in front of the house. The owners were responsive to all our questions prior to our arrival, and while we never met the caretaker who lives on site, she was very welcoming and also responsive to our emails during our stay. The apartment was very well cared for - it was clean and fit the 6 of us perfectly. We appreciated the little things like soap and bath gel as well as a hair dryer and plenty of towels. Free laundry on site was also great to wash our post-race clothes. The neighborhood maps of Portland came in handy for our daytime excursions. I can't really think of anything that would have enhanced our experience in Irvington House. A few of the outlets did not work in 2 of the bedrooms, but we figured it out all the same. We will definitely stay at Irvington House the next time we travel to Portland!

lovely property

  • 4 of 5

Pleasant neighbourhood, pleasant home. Caretaker on site. Only one shower, which could be inconvenient for some guests. Bathtub did not drain properly, and I lost a good part of a morning trying to get it fixed. The caretaker was prompt to help and very friendly. Kitchen well-equipped, spacious and charming living and dining areas. Third bedroom is small and lacks closet, but it's functional. The other two bedrooms are more than adequate. All in all, we'd return.

perfect stay

  • 5 of 5

Property is close enough to several public transit options (light rail, bus lines) & shopping/dining choices so a rental car is not a requirement. Great communication and directions from owner & onsite manager. Beautiful home! Thank you for making our Portland visit so easy.

Very nice accomodations in historic neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice & clean. Five of us had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. On site Property manager was five star excellent and a true resource!!

Great location; within walking distance of Broadway and Alberta shopping/restaurant areas as well as downtown (we do like walking quite a bit.)

The care and thoughtful attention to this apartment shows

  • 5 of 5

This was actually our first VRBO experience and what a great one it was! The apartment is the second floor of a beautiful old Portland house, with a separate entrance up a small flight of stairs. it has the feel of a boutique hotel. Furnishings were top notch and very thoughtfully done, with a cook's kitchen (Viking stove! copper pots!) and period furniture that was comfy and not fussy. There is a main bedroom on the first floor, another bed in a smaller sun porch-type area, and then a loft with two beds in a shared space that would be idea for kids (and worked well even for our teens).

The owners left coffee and wine for us and couldn't have been nicer about our questions. (There are some electrical "quirks" to this older house.) Street parking was always available. If you go, don't miss the small but astonishing garden at the back of the house - really beautifully landscaped, with unusual flowers and shrubs.

The only caveat I will mention is that there are a lot of steps. We came with my 77-year-old mother and she was a big challenged to walk the steps each day. Other than that, recommend this place for everyone.

Great Portland Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Portland. The apartment worked out great for us and our 3 kids, there was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen is a fully stocked with everything you need to cook and having laundry in the building was a great help. Street parking was easy there was always tons of space, and the neighborhood was quiet. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in just a short walk either way you turn out of the front door. We would definitely stay here again when we visit. The on site caretaker was friendly and helpful.
