Beautiful home. 1300 steps to the gulf -- sidewalk just steps away. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of bedroom space -- loved the quiet location. Would absolutely rent again. As some reviewers noted, the washing machine does need service. It makes terrible noise but I dont choose my vacation spots based on this though :) Gorgeous decor. Thank you for letting us make wonderful memories in your home!
Sand Marino was a wonderful vacation home for my family. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and relaxing. The outdoor patio and BBQ pit was definitely put to good use. Kitchen was fully stocked with large granite counters and plenty of cabinet space. My children enjoyed the beautiful pool area and the public and private beach. We visited nearby Seaside, shopping mall and restaurants as well as the nearby ice cream stand. Yum!!
Thank you so much for making this vacation one to remember. We would definitely love to vacation at San Marino in the future.
Our family of twelve (four families - eight adults, 2 kids and two babies) spent the first week of July at the Sand Marino. The house was perfect for this group as everyone had plenty of bedroom, bathroom and lounging space. We rented cribs, a baby gate, a high chair and two children’s bikes from Babies-n-Town – which worked out well.
This was our first trip to the Florida Panhandle and our first time ever renting a vacation home so we were a little nervous about the experience. But Sam was very easy to work with, reassuring and the house was everything he said it was going to be and more. We arrived at our destination at quarter til and found that the time lock really worked – we couldn’t get in until four! So we explored the area a little to get our bearings. When we walked in the house, it was cool, clean and lovely – the décor was beachy and fun. We made use of the outside grill, the sturdy beach chairs and the well-appointed kitchen (including the crock pot and cake pan (for birthdays)!). There were plenty of bath towels, clean bed linens, kitchen garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, paper towels and toilet paper – there was even some hand soap and small shampoo bottles in each bathroom, just like a hotel. (Ok – this was our first time)
The house is located in a nice neighborhood and we had access to the large, clean neighborhood pool. The grandkids had a great time playing there but they declared the beach was more fun. It was an easy half-mile walk to the beach with an ice cream shop at the midpoint (which we frequented often). Blue Mountain Beach is very close to other towns and by comparison was quieter which we really appreciated. We got our Starbucks in Grayton, enjoyed the great food at some local restaurants and went to “Fired Up” in Seaside to do some pottery painting with our grandchildren on a rainy day.
The only downer for us was the weather– the last half of the week was constant rain - no local July 4th festivities. The whole Destin area became a giant parking lot- places were packed. Of course, this has nothing to do with the Sand Marino – it was the one bright spot during those gloomy days. We cooked, played games, watched TV and dashed down to the beach to check it out when the rain lightened up. The vacation was a way to bring our four families together – they flew in from Washington State, Kansas and drove from Indiana and Tennessee – and that was what really mattered.
We highly recommend the Sand Marino!
We had a fabulous time at The Sand Marino Beach House! The layout of the house is perfect to accommodate multiple families. It is very clean, well maintained, and the decor is very inviting and makes it easy to relax in. We enjoyed the private beach, public beach, and the community pool. We loved the little nearby town of Seaside. Thanks again for sharing such a wonderful home to us. Lots of fun memories were made with our family and friends!
My family and I would like to thank the Marinos. We had a wonderful time!! The house had plenty of space for all of the kids. The outdoor patio came in handy as well. The pool and the beach was spectacular. Thanks again
Sand Marino was the perfect place for our family. We chose the house because it met our needs, and the appearance, location, and amenitites on the listing were very appealing. The house was even more beautiful in person! Our children and grandchildren were so impressed, they said, "Gram, you did a great job picking out this house!" The house was very clean which was a big plus to us. The owner was very friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this house! We all enjoyed the pool and the beach, which is nearby. One of our favorite restaurants was Goatfeathers. We went there the first night and the last night of our stay. We also enjoyed PF Changs. On one of the rainy days we went to the Silver Sands Outlets and shopped, and on another rainy day we went to the movie theater close to PF Changs. We had a wonderful vacation! Thank you to the owners of Sand Marino for sharing your beautiful house with us.
Has a very large GATED neighborhood pool.
