About Malynda Williams
Hello~ We are John & Malynda Williams. John just retired from OilField Construction and I retired May 2012 from Xerox- Kyle Office Products in Sales. Our careers took us many places in our 17+ years together and the Texas Gulf Coast was no exception. As a matter of fact, 7 years worth. In August 2008, John had a group fishing trip scheduled (of which he hooked a delicious AmberJack) so we decided it would be a great weekend getaway and perfect opportunity to visit our Cousins, Tim & Julita and their new home in Rockport. No sooner hugs were given, our Cousin Tim said, 'You too can Live like this!' Well, between John's successful fishing trip and my great memories & love for the ocean, we went house hunting. So, we said 'Y KNOT', a week later we signed a contract on our home in Aransas Pass. We bought a boat and of course we named it, 'Y KNOT!' Wanting to share this experience with others, In April & August 2010, we purchased two properties so we could do just that. We are the 3rd owners of this 1964 home and it is filled with history. The first owners built it from the ground up and rebuilt it after Hurricane Celia with what they could gather. Viola, a 1 BD/1 Bath with a kitchen was now a happy home. In 2008, the wife had an Estate Sale, and the Second owners bought the house outright at the sale. Completely renovated and updated from electrical, plumbing, cedar siding, laminate wood & tile floors, new appliances, laundry room, 2nd Bath, 2nd bedroom, Central AC/HT, 10 ceiling fans, to name a few. Even with all the updates, this 1600 sq. ft. home is very well laid out with some personality from the 1960's. So, what are you waiting for, Y KNOT GetawaY? Thank you for visiting our listing, we hope you will consider our home for your next getaway. 'YOU TOO CAN LIVE LIKE THIS!' Kindest Regards, John & Ms. RED Williams

Perfect Family Vacation Home!
We had a great time staying here for a long holiday weekend. There were 6 of us in total- 2 teens and 4 adults. The house had any and everything we could have needed! The kitchen was extra roomy and fit us very well and was completely stocked making all of our cooking easy and fun. The rooms were bright and clean, and the beds were VERY comfortable. The restrooms were also nice and clean and there were plenty of towels available. The whole house was bright and roomy, decorated really fun and whimsical and made it so inviting to just hang out and relax. Since the home is dog friendly also, we were able to bring our fur children and there was plenty of room for their beds to go in the living room so they got to enjoy family time too! There were all kinds of games to play, color books for the kiddos, a collection of movies to watch, and even some goodies for the dogs to enjoy. Our favorite part of the whole house by far was the amazingly beautiful backyard! It has a nice wooden fence that was perfect for the dogs who enjoyed it as much as we did. The patio furniture was the perfect touch to just lay around and soak up the sun while the kids fished right off the back lower patio. We fished in the canal all afternoon and night and caught an assortment of fish without ever leaving the backyard! We drove over to Port Aransas for some shopping one afternoon and it was a nice little drive but not to far at all. Driving into Rockport for the grocery store was only about 15 minutes or so. I highly recommend this fantastic home for anyone looking to get away and have fun, especially if you have fur babies to bring with you- not everyone is dog friendly when you look to travel, and having our WHOLE family together made it extra special and fun!!! We will definitely return next year :)
The home was very clean. The kitchen had all the pots pans and dishes needed.
I have no complaints! We enjoyed the house and we loved being able to put our boat in the canal and just drive it out to the flats for fishing.
This home is beautiful. All the comforts of home, vibrantly decorated with designer touches throughout. Hard to imagine that just 6 months ago Harvey knocked on this door. We enjoyed our weekend and can not wait to come back.
PS. The cookies were so good, thank you.
homey, comfortable stay in Rockport
We enjoyed a warm and enthusiastic welcome to our Rocport VRBO. Ms Williams was very helpful and supportive of our choice to visit her home. In spite of horrific hurricane damage to the entire area she had the rental in top shape for our arrival and checked on our comforts and questions regularly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and remain very impressed with this community's efforts to recover and welcome visitors.
When we first arrived, was given the wrong key code to get in but luckily the land lord answer the phone and we're given correct code. Upon entering we discovered we were a bed short. In the photo's online it shows 2 rooms with 1 bed in one room and 2 beds in the other room. Well there was only 1 bed in each room. Luckily my other son and wife decided not to come. In the back yard, waterfront side, there is a fruit tree that was full of rotten, moldy, bug infested fruits that were on the tree and covered the ground. This caused ants to invade the entire back yard. They were everywhere including the dock. I ran to HEB and bought some pesticide and enjoyed the 2nd day. They house was clean and very roomy. Good location.
It was an awesome weekend!!!
Nice clean house everything you need was here. Overall it was a great weekend on the water.
