Guestbook comments from the owner

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago for a stay in October 2014

We were skeptical at first since we had never rented a cabin before & didn't know what to expect. I have allergy so i couldn't stay anywhere that had a musty smell. Richard, who owns the cabin was very honest saying that the cabin would ok for me.

When we arrived we were absolutely amazed, it was everything we wanted it to be. Loved the rocking chairs on the front porch, had a great view of the pond. The setting was wonderful, you're in the woods, but close to town. It had a running stream a few yards from the cabin, loved that.

Every morning we were greeted by 12 Turkeys, unbelievable. Had every utensil & supplies you could possibly need, no need to bring anything.

The cabin was very comfortable & super clean. Chimmey Rock was close by with cute shops & restaurants on the river.

The fireplace was great, wish we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend this cabin, loved it more

Pictures don't do this cabin justice.

We had such a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was spacious and inviting. The beds were great and there were extra blankets and fans if you needed one or the other. My kids enjoyed eating fresh apples off the tree. We even made apple crisp with them one night. I also loved how the town was close by (6 miles) but far enough away you can enough the country. Looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful setting!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was lovely, clean and well equipped! It was a beautiful setting and the pond was great to fish in! Was to closet everything as well! My only complaint was that it was entirely to warm for there not to be air conditioning in the upstairs rooms x 2... It was very uncomfortable sleeping several nights where the temp was near 80. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and the cabin!

Great place for a family get away!

  • 5 of 5

Very nice cabin!!! My family and I had a great time. Everything you need within 12 miles or so. Fishing pond was especially good bass crappie and sunfish! First time catching something on an artificial lure! My boys enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit.

Charming log home to get away yet close enough to amenities!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had such a wonderful time staying at this log home. The porch over looking the pond stocked with fish was wonderful. It is a great place for the children to run about and play. We loved the relaxed and warm feel of the home. It was even decorated with Christmas decor for our stay over the holidays. An excellent touch!
