Words cannot fully describe how much my family loved this cottage. The cottage was super clean and comfortable. It is on a quiet part of the lake which was perfect for us. My 1 year old daughter loved going in the water, playing in the sand and canoeing with us. We ran into many neighbors on our daily walks who were super friendly. Marie was a wonderful host and very quick to respond to all my inquiries. We had great experiences at the local golf course and the near by restaurant, The Pine Tree Inn. We hope to return to this camp year after year as long as Marie lets us!
Relaxing, Clean, Fun. A most enjoyable week we have ever had. The camp, grounds, beach and dock are all immaculately kept. Marie and Jerry are the nicest folks around. The surrounding area is beautiful. Can you tell I liked it? Nice bass and Sunfish. We felt comfortable and at home the minute we arrived to the minute we left. See you soon. Steve and Jen.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We had a very relaxing vacation and we are looking forward to going back next year. We had a deer that visited us in the morning. A wonderful bargain.
My whole family stayed at the Duink's Camp for a week at the end of summer. The whole experience was amazing! We all had fun swimming, playing volleyball, going out in the paddleboat, campfires, playing games and just being all together! I love how the camp is right on the water! The cottage is so cute and comfy feeling like home. The view from the loft was beautiful to wake up to in the morning! Very well kept and supplied with all the things you would use at home! Marie was very nice and accomadating! We plan on making this a yearly tradition! Cant wait to go back! Thanks again!
We had a great week at this beautiful lake cottage. The kids loved the setting, the fishing, the swimming, and playing games in the fun sand lot. I loved fishing all day and into the night. Many gorgeous species: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bullhead catfish, perch, rock bass, bluegill, sunfish, pikerel, and even a huge snapping turtle. We caught and released everything, taking pictures for memories. I caught the fish of a lifetime, a 4 + lb. largemouth bass on a rainy day! Get big nightcrawlers for the bass. At dusk the rock bass attack with vigorous fight against the angler. I had a blast!
I stayed at this camp during August. It was a very nice camp, one of the best on the lake at the time. And that was before the remodeling was done! The camp is bright and open--- and the renovations make it look like it came right out of a magazine. My family and I had a wonderful time. We used the boat to explore the lake and to go fishing all around the lake including Lily Pond and Turtle Bay. We really had a great time relaxing on the beach. At night we sat around the firepit on the beach and could see the Milky Way, the sky was so crystal clear ! I loved it there. (We had such a great time we bought a place on the lake.) The Duinks are really nice people --- they keep their camp so well equiped, clean and comfortable, too.
ps The "Pine Tree" has a Great Fish Fry, the "Trail Side" has wonderful nightly specials and the Brantingham Golf Course is a really convenient course to play, a nice course that runs through the woods with no housing developments built all around it.
