First of all, the owner provided good customer service. He responded promptly, and that was great for us as this was somewhat of a last minute trip on our end.
This place is such a gem! The view of the house against the sunbaked mountain is gorgeous. The house was clean, inviting and very lovely. The AC works great! Clean stove and oven! The bed was comfortable and it was just perfect for our 2 night get-away.
We enjoyed walking up to the side of the house. It has a beautiful view of the valley, especially as the sun set.
There was a bag of bird feed by the door, so we decided to put some on the feeder in the courtyard. We enjoyed watching the numerous quails and other species of birds feast on the feed. We did not see coyotes but they howled like crazy at night. There were lots of squirrels that loved the bird food as well.
Our stay may have been short, but we enjoyed spending our quiet but oh so awesome 4th of July at this JT retreat. This is a place we could easily go back to. It is a beautiful place :-)
We just left our stay today and thought it was terrific. The house is perfect - well laid out, all possible amenities, and so well located. It is private and in a great location for the park. Such a nice courtyard for having breakfast - and loved seeing all the quails running by. Gerhard was super helpful. Highly recommend.
Great views, cozy location. House was pristine. It needs some unfinished details fix such as towel hooks in the bathroom and a larger kitchen trash can. The owner responds within a half hour to deal with any issues. We had a very peaceful NYE.
Thanks so much!
Lovely, comfortable home near Joshua Tree to set up base. It's very close to the park and there are fun rocks to climb in the back yard. There is also a very sweet little courtyard
My wife and I wanted a quite weekend get a way to Joshua Tree and we found the perfect place to stay. Great kitchen, views, hiking frim back yard! Going back as soon as we can!
The house is in a very quiet location. We made use of both the indoors and the courtyard. Breakfast outside was amazing. Perfect temperature, the layout and design provided shade for us almost till lunch time. Same with inside. We kept the blinds open the whole time to take in the magnificent views of the mountain of big rocks. Absolutely stunning. There is a container of bird food and we put some out on the birdfeeder sculpture. We were surprised at how many birds and types of birds it attracted. We also saw chimpmunks, jack rabbits, lizards, and one coyote. The house is clean, decorated nicely, and very inviting. A smart house. A good place to sit and think and get work done or just do absolutely nothing. Very close to park entrance. We loved it!
