We had an absolutely great time. I would highly recommend this property.
Loved the location of this house.
We loved staying at this property. Judy was very helpful and informative about the area. We were able to request lobsters from one of the local lobsterman and he even took some of our group on his boat when he checked his traps! We went to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Schoodic Point, Corea, and many more small harbor towns. It was a beautiful and relaxing week. This house has the best views of the amazing sunrises each day, you dont have to leave the house to see it or you can go on the beach to enjoy them. We also enjoyed many campfires while relaxing by the water. We definately hope to come back!
Seals and Loons for Neighbors!
Spacious, comfortable with outstanding views of Jellison Cove. The cove, an inlet of the Gulf of Maine, is filled with seals and loons that you can watch from the bay window in the living room. Babe, the local fisherman whose boat you can see in the picture, will drop off a couple of a lobsters at the house on his way home. It doesn't get any fresher than that! Highly recommended!
Our favorite place in Maine
We have tried to vacation in Maine every year for a while. After staying in beautiful Belfast several times, we decided we wanted to be closer to Acadia and Bar Harbor. My wife found this place in Hancock, and it's our very favorite. We have been here three times, and are already thinking about the fourth, in 2020! You can't beat it for comfort, views and location.
A beautiful setting and location for our y Fall visit to Maine
This was our first HomeAway visit and turned out to be fabulous. The 'house' was lovely and warm as the nights turned chilly during our visit. The home owner was very responsive and the home was ready when we arrived. The bonus was two bathrooms with one on each floor and a washer and dryer. We would certainly recommend this property.
Thank you so much for this lovely review....you were great too....and I also have you an excellent review....Judy
10th Girls Weekend get-away. We had a great time. This home is so charming and comfortable. A cottage by the sea. Very spacious and plenty of room. We enjoyed using the outdoor fire pit and lawn chairs. Mr. Bob (the local fisherman) brought us 3 fresh lobsters to enjoy for dinner on our final night. We were within an hours drive to Acadia National Park. I would definately recommend this home if you are traveling to the area. Thank you again for sharing your home with us Judy.
