This remodeled and comfortable 2 story cottage that was originally built in 1910, is not only a perfect getaway, but also in an ideal central location. Hardwood floors, a private back porch, and a relaxing balcony off the master bedroom are just some of the many features.
This house has beds for 4 people, but can accommodate 6 people. The upstairs bedroom has a king sized bed, while the downstairs bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a double futon in the living room..as well as 2 single folding sleeping mats in the closet if needed..There are 2 bathrooms..one upstairs and one downstairs. House is 1250 sq ft.
McDonald Theater, Autzen Stadium, Fifth Street Market, the Hult Center, the Library, Saturday Market, the University of Oregon campus and Hayward Field are all only a few minutes away....House is approx 2.3 miles from the University Campus.
Easy walking distance to various restaurants, Frontier Market, Sweet Life Coffee & Pastry Shop, Fisherman's Market, Monroe Park and much more.
I am an RN and Photographer here in the beautiful state of Oregon…Love to travel & crave the ocean and tropical weather. Spend as much time as possible in Jamaica and with family on Maui.
Kalona purchased this house in 2008
Growing up on the Oregon coast, Eugene was always the 'big city' for us:) I have always loved the mellow University town feel the Eugene has. Initially we had thought of purchasing a house further away from town….but having chosen this location, I couldn't be happier! It has the quiet neighborhood and wonderful neighbors, but with the ease of access to anywhere!
Our location here is ideal! Having grown up in the country, it is a wonderful thing to be able to walk just down the street to Sweet Life for a cup of coffee, to the market or out for lunch. We frequently see concerts at MacDonald Theater and The Cuthbert, catch shows at the Hult Center and games at Autzen Stadium..It is wonderful to be within a few minutes of everything.
Great home and location! It was so much fun to stay there and had everything we could hope for.
We've been staying here once or twice a year for several years. It's on a quiet street and within walking of great places to eat and drink. It's warm and cozy in the winter, but can get hot on summer's hottest days because it isn't air conditioned. Many, if not most, places in Eugene aren't air conditioned because it usually cools off plenty at night. I do have one critique - the King size bed upstairs is getting a little old and is just starting to sag. Might be time for a new bed!
Great place to stay, so well stocked and appointed. Plenty of room to spread out. Great location too - easy walking distance to town, plus a nice small market very nearby. Would definitely stay here again.
I loved this house. The owners have remodeled and decorated it with a fun colorful style. It feels comfortable and welcoming and the owners have thought of every little thing you might want from soap and shampoo to tea and coffee with cream and sugar too. There are several really good restaurants just a few blocks away. It is several blocks from the Lane County Fairgrounds and the Lane Events Center where we were attending an event for the weekend. Everything was very clean and the towels and linens were nice and soft. We will definitely stay here again when we go to Eugene.
My husband and I stayed at this sweet cottage over the Christmas holiday. The house is in a quiet residential area, but only a short walk to downtown restaurants. Kolana was a delight to work with. The home was clean and well stocked. We hope to stay here again in the future.
