Our address is 317 E. 19th Avenue.. The main house is located on a double lot so the gazebo is on its own parcel. There is a small cottage on the rear of the property which rents separately and sleeps 4. There is plenty of yard to soak-up the sun. We have off-street parking for three cars.
As kids, most of us worked 'down the shore' to earn money for college tuition. You can imagine what a dream it is to have a place by the beach, Our Dutch Colonial is one and a third blocks from the beach and boardwalk. The beaches are expansive and free. The boardwalk has amusements, water parks and plenty of shops and venders.
We renovated in 2007 to provide spacious living space with a deck and gazebo to enjoy the fresh sea air. Our deck has a ramp to accommodate wheelchairs. The kitchen and baths are new and the baths are handicap accessable. The work flow in the kitchen is facilitated by an eat-up counter that connects with the dining room. We have an outside shower and a long driveway to accommodate plenty of parking.
Three bedrooms have new queen beds and one has a full bed with a winding staircase leading to the loft. The kids love it in the loft. The bath upstairs is shared by the 4 bedrooms.
The bath on the first floor is oversized and includes a handicap shower. The sun porch is on the front of our colonial includes a hospital bed and a single bed.
North Wildwood is minutes south of Avalon and Stone Harbor and one of the two Wildwood communities north of Cape May. Each of these locations is known as a resort in its own right. Several sightseeing boats leave from Wildwood proper and sport fishing trips can be arranged with the local captains. Atlantic City and its casinos are just a 45 minute trip up the Parkway.
North Wildwood provides fireworks every Friday during the summer and live concerts are a weekly activity. The Wildwood convention center is close and activities are scheduled there year round.
In order to avoid the major Saturday traffic jams while entering the island we staggered the rental start to allow for Sunday to Sunday rentals.
Keywords: Dutch Colonial, handicap friendly with Sun Porch, Fireplace, Deck, Gazebo, yard. 2 bedroom cottage rents separately. Located on 19th Avenue. Avoid traffic rent Sunday to Sunday!
This is a family owned home passed down through three generations. We enjoy the outdoor deck, grill, yard and gazebo. We are within 1 and 1/2 blocks of the beach and boardwalk. It is very child friendly. We rent only to family groups, minimum age 24. No senior week renters.
Bill Elliott purchased this house in 1943
There is space to relax on the deck or gazebo, sun at the house and enjoy the beach which is a block away. The boardwalk and its attractions are about a block away, as well. It is a two story single property nestled on a double lot. You are not situated on top or next to an adjoining property so you have space to relax and enjoy the shore. We have been coming to North Wildwood for many years and especially enjoy it off season. We have plenty of off-street parking.
Enjoy inside on hot days and outside under the Gazebo or on the spacious deck. Children can play ball in the yard or bike the boards. Jogging on beach or boardwalk is a block away, and the sea wall is close as well.
We really enjoyed our stay at this place! After a hot day at the beach, we appreciated the efficient air conditioning as well as the fan in each room. Our stay was optimized with the efficient washing machine, clothes dryer and dishwasher and the plenty of cooking utensils and utensils. We also enjoyed dinning outside on the wide deck/patio and plenty of chairs or inside in the wide dinning area with sitting for more than 10 people. The teens enjoyed the smart television, Wi-Fi and the loft! The younger ones were able to have a good sleep because it was quiet in the upstairs rooms even if there were people talking downstairs. We appreciated the 2 bathrooms and the outdoor shower. We were happy to borrow the boogie boards and beach chairs at our disposition! The parking off-street for 3-4 cars and the proximity of the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, playgrounds, groceries, liquor stores, amusement parks, activities, etc. were an added value! The property was a really good fit for our group of 13 people (6 adults and 7 children from 1 to 16); everybody had its space and a bed! We would definitely recommend this property and we will probably go back again next summer. Last, but not least, the owner provided a great customer service from the reservation until now!
