Enjoy the bucolic Berkshires. Nestled at the foot of Monument Mountain on a private road, you will 'chill' with your family and friends in our warm and welcoming chalet. Minutes from Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, Berkshire Theater, Ski Butternut, Catamount and Jiminy Peak ski areas. You will be able to enjoy all that the Berkshires have to offer or relax on the hammock and star gaze!

This is our home away from home. After working long and hard all week we look forward to heading up to GB to 'chill'. Sometimes our weekends are filled with fun- skiing, concerts, hiking, ice fishing; other times we relax in front of the fire and read or play board games. I hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do!
The Owner purchased this chalet in 2004
We chose the Berkshires for our second home after vacationing in the area for years. We started out as campers , and graduated to renters and finally to homeowners! We didn't buy the house to rent , but for our family to use. As life became busier and my daughter got older, we made it up less and less. We felt sad that our beautiful home wasn't being used as much and hoped that other families like ours would like to enjoy the area as we do!
We enjoy being so close to Monument Mountain and often walk the dog up on the trails. A quick 5 minute car ride and we are ready to hit the slopes at Ski Butternut or shop on Railroad St. in town. If you like star gazing, you will love laying on the hammock and watching the shooting stars on warm summer evenings. If you enjoy apple pie- Taft Farms has the BEST and it is a short walk down the road!
This was a fantastic home for our wedding gathering. It was large enough to hold lots of people, but still had room for people to gather in small groups away from everyone else. The house and the grounds were beautiful and the little surprises (like the fairy house in the tree) were a delight to discover. Over and over I heard my family say that this was so much better than going to a hotel. It was great to be able to hang out with family late into the night, and be able to have a drink or a snack without having to go off to another location. The information you provided was perfect, and the information at the house for places to go or how to use items was tremendously useful. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It helped to make a perfect wedding, into a perfect weekend getaway.
We hope to come back again,
Fantastic location! Convenient to everything - - skiing, restaurants, Stockbridge. Nancy was a great and gracious host and provided all the info necessary to have a very enjoyable stay in her vacation home. The house was very clean with plenty of room for our family of five. Everyone had their own room! And, the recently renovated bathrooms and kitchen offered delightful touches to this cozy vacation home. Would definitely stay again!
The house was perfect for our weekend. The weather was not the best but staying inside with the fire could not have been better. Plenty of room in house to cook, eat, drink and be merry and SLEEP. Bedrooms were all they were listed as. The owner could not describe or represent the house better. A quick drive to down town for supplies but if you don't have anywhere to go staying in works too. I highly recommend this property and would love to come back in better weather.
Our stay was great !. The place lived up to our expectations. The kitchen and main bathroom were high end and the entire place was very clean and accommodating. The six of us really enjoyed our stay. On top of it we played two golf courses (Egermont and Waaubeeka) and enjoyed them both and all only an hour away from our home in the Albany area.
A really nice house with a real cabin feel and all the comforts of a modern home. We stayed with a bunch of children for a long ski weekend, and it was perfect. Kitchen and baths are clean and updated. The living area still has the charm of a cabin, which is why we leave the city for the hills, and there was enough room in the kitchonette for breakfast for 8. Bedding and towels were very nice. The owner was great to deal with.
We had a wonderful extended family reunion at this beautiful home and enjoyed every part of it. Nancy, the owner is great. She responds to emails immediately, keeps the house in excellent condition and is a pleasure to work with. Rooms are spacious and kitchen has everything you may need. Quiet location.5 minute drive to the slopes of Butternut, and center of town. Looking forward to doing it again next year.Highly recommend this home.
There were six of us each wanting our own bed, so with the futon, it worked fine. The house is just like it looks in the posting. Beds were very comfortable. It needed a few maintenance items, which we communicated to the owner, who was happy to have the feedback. The half bath is a bit primitive and downstairs with the laundry, but usable in a pinch. The yard is lovely and the setting very enjoyable. Well-appointed kitchen. A really nice thing is that they leave miscellaneous condiments and such, so check out the fridge and cabinets before you shop. This is a place for people who can go up and down stairs, since everything is on the upper level. We had a great weekend.
