Renovated 1830's house with all the charm of the real Cape Cod, packed with modern amenities and style. Farmhouse style kitchen, two baths, well-appointed living room with a bay window and view over Little Harbor. At sunset, settle on your private deck, dine al fresco as the fireflies come out, watch the ferries move slowly across the Sound.
You can see Martha’s Vineyard from here and walk easily to the ferry terminal. The dining room is lined with books. There are fireplaces in three rooms. There is a outdoor shower to wash off sandy feet back from the nearby beach (10 minute walk). The five bedrooms are made up with high end linens, baths overflowing with clean towels, kitchen well stocked for cooking.
The bedroom configuration is ideal for a family or a group – three bedrooms upstairs (four twin beds, one king bed) with a Jacuzzi bath; one bedroom with a queen downstairs off the dining room with a bath. Plus a bonus bedroom (full size bed) and en suite bath on the ground level. The kitchen has a stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, fridge and all the plates/pots and pans needed for cooking. Or dine out at one of Woods Holes many waterfront eateries, all a three minute walk from your house. Everyone else struggles to park in Woods Hole -- you are already here!
Stroll for your locally- roasted coffee and a popover from the best bakery on Cape Cod. Woods Hole is a walking town and you are in the middle of it all -- great shops and a score of good restaurants and bars. You hop the Vineyard Ferry for a great day trip to the island of presidents. You walk ten minutes to Nobska Beach, where you swim in the warm Atlantic waters under one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. It’s another short walk to Stoney Beach, adjacent to exclusive Penzance Point where you can swim in Buzzards Bay. You bike up the Shining Sea bike path past yet another fantastic beach (Surf Drive) and enjoy Falmouth village and beyond.
Woods Hole is well located for day trips to Martha's Vineyard, Plimouth Plantation, Provincetown, Newport, Nantucket, Boston. Perfect jumping off point for all that Cape Cod has to offer.

Our family of 7 stayed in this house for 1 week in August. There were several good qualities about this rental. The location is great - easy drive to Falmouth, quick walk into town of Woods Hole as well as Ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The rental does provide parking - which is key in this area.
The back patio was great - functional grill and nicely shaded. The house is VERY old. The rooms are all separated from each other by narrow low doorways. The family room was comfortable - the dining room stocked with an impressive collection of books. The rooms are all somewhat small and tight. The bathrooms are tiny and very difficult to maneuver in. The upstairs bathroom is really just a powder room or a place to bath small children - even a small adult would have trouble using that tub. The stairways were very steep and narrow - Not good for young children or anyone elderly. You have to walk through an unfinished part of the basement to access the ground floor "apartment". The basement is ancient, and smells like mildew. This is also where the laundry machines are, making that task pretty unpleasant.
This house was so great. My family and I didn't want to leave! Plenty of room for our family of 6. Great kitchen if you don't feel like going out for every meal (although, lots of great spots to eat at right in town). This house had everything we needed to get by for our vacation. All we had to bring was ourselves, clothing and select beach items.
A short walking distance from the busy little town of Woods Hole, several restaurants, bars and the beach made it such a great location. -Not to mention right down the street from the ferry to the Vineyard, which I highly recommend. Sunsets were phenomenal around the area. Beaches were small but very charming. If you have kids, they will love it! The Oceanographic Aquarium is walking distance along with other museums and fun things to see. Whether your party is all adults or children included there is something fun for everyone. The staff was excellent with details on all the fun stuff to do around town and the surrounding area. All in all, we can't wait to go back next year! Thank you Beth & Crew!
