Amazing Views... Totally Relaxing!!!

  • 5 of 5

We (my wife, 4yr old son and 7 month old daughter) drove from New York to Nova Scotia... what were we thinking?? When we arrived at the home, we were amazed with the location and the surrounding views (breathtaking sunsets). It is close enough to town where you can find everything from restaurants, supermarkets etc. but also far enough where it's quiet and tranquil. Marion was very nice and even told us where to go whale watching, how far it was, and when to actually leave the house in order to give us enough time to catch two ferries. We ended up seeing two humpback whales, mother and calf. My son's dream came true, since he loves sea life, and as a parent, couldn't have asked for a better experience. A truly wonderful stay and a gracious host. Definitely doing it again - thanks Marion!!

2 families comfortably accommodated

  • 4 of 5

This suited our needs very well. We had 2 families vacationing together. Location is beautiful. We arrived very late and were able to access the property without a problem. We used the house as a base camp for day trips all around Nova Scotia, so we didn't spend much time at the house. When we were there, we enjoyed the views while sipping our coffee from the large deck. My only concern is that for a large group, there is 1 shower and 1 tub, 2 toilets. We would return!

The Perfect Holiday

  • 5 of 5

Our holiday in Nova Scotia left us with one overriding feeling -- that we want to return next year. The house was in a spectacular location overlooking the Bay of Fundy, giving us wonderful views and the most amazing sunsets.

The house was a home from home, with all sorts of expected and unexpected comforts and pleasures.

Our host, Marion was incredibly welcoming, and a fount of knowledge on the local area.

Excellent and easy

  • 5 of 5

I brought a group of friends to Marion's home for a work retreat in September. The location was perfect- quiet, excellent views, and only 90 minutes from Halifax. The house was clean and well appointed. The main floor entertaining areas were open and well set-up for entertaining our group of 10. The well-maintained yard and large front deck provided us with ample space to socialize and barbecue (and even toss a few washers). Also there was a wonderful (and very clean) hot tub! The place was honestly even better than it looks in the pictures.

On top of all this, Marion was flexible and easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Pure Bliss

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed in early September this year. We had a wonderful time. Relaxing, full of history, and beautiful scenery. You will feel alone in the universe at this house. Marion was easy to work with. I recommend reading Evangeline prior to visiting, and spend time at Grand Pre. Most of Nova Scotia is an easy drive away for wonderful day trips. Spend time at Baxter's Harbour to watch the tide, and eat at least one meal at Hall's Harbour.

Beautiful home for staying in or exploring

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful, spacious home. There was 11 of us, and we had plenty of room. It was much bigger than it looked in pictures, and so well-equipped - everything we needed was there! We loved relaxing on the deck or in the hot tub, and enjoyed the shuffleboard table in the bar area. The harbor just down the street was a really neat spot to explore at low and high tide - it was like two different worlds! It's a bit of a drive to get anywhere, but definitely accessible enough for some day trips in Nova Scotia. Marion was lovely and very helpful.
