I am a professional working within 20 minutes from this home. I have enjoyed living in the Annapolis Valley in the Bay of Fundy for the past 40 years. My children are now grown and this large, beautiful residence should now be used and appreciated by others. The atmosphere is warm, informal and relaxing. You will feel welcome and relaxed in this oceanside home. Welcome to the land of oceans, up and coming wineries and tides.
The Owner purchased this chateau / country house in 1997
Beautiful location, located in a mountain region of the Annapollis Valley on the ocean overlooking the Bay of Fundy. Great intimate small wedding venue.

Watch the beautiful sunsets from the deck overlooking the ocean. Amazing.
I brought a group of friends to Marion's home for a work retreat in September. The location was perfect- quiet, excellent views, and only 90 minutes from Halifax. The house was clean and well appointed. The main floor entertaining areas were open and well set-up for entertaining our group of 10. The well-maintained yard and large front deck provided us with ample space to socialize and barbecue (and even toss a few washers). Also there was a wonderful (and very clean) hot tub! The place was honestly even better than it looks in the pictures.
On top of all this, Marion was flexible and easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this rental.
My wife and I stayed in early September this year. We had a wonderful time. Relaxing, full of history, and beautiful scenery. You will feel alone in the universe at this house. Marion was easy to work with. I recommend reading Evangeline prior to visiting, and spend time at Grand Pre. Most of Nova Scotia is an easy drive away for wonderful day trips. Spend time at Baxter's Harbour to watch the tide, and eat at least one meal at Hall's Harbour.
Our family had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful, spacious home. There was 11 of us, and we had plenty of room. It was much bigger than it looked in pictures, and so well-equipped - everything we needed was there! We loved relaxing on the deck or in the hot tub, and enjoyed the shuffleboard table in the bar area. The harbor just down the street was a really neat spot to explore at low and high tide - it was like two different worlds! It's a bit of a drive to get anywhere, but definitely accessible enough for some day trips in Nova Scotia. Marion was lovely and very helpful.
It was a fantastic stay. The house was beautiful. It was clean and very spacious. Perfect for all ages. The ages of our family of 7 was from a one year old to my father who is 82. We truly enjoyed our stay. The beautiful scenery and the awesome sunsets made our stay very memorable for all. We all had an amazing time. Would truly recommend to all family and friends. Marion was a pleasure to do business with. Thank you.
This lovely home was perfect. Great amenities lived up to their advertisements. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and always available to help or answer any questions. I would definitely recommend this vacation home to my family and friends. I'd stay there again! The people in Nova Scotia are super friendly and outgoing - a great visit in a great province.
We had a fantastic time! It was just the two of us and our two small children - there was plenty of room for more people if we had brought family or friends. It would be a great place to have a large group! The bar area with shuffleboard table had a great view and led right to the hot tub outside.
The photos are a very good reflection of the property. It was clean and had all the amenities. Marion was incredibly thoughtful and brought us a pack-n-play for our littlest one as well as a stroller, which came in very handy on our day trips to Lunenberg/Mahone Bay and Halifax. There was also a rocking horse the kids loved. We had a wood-burning fire most evenings and used the firepit outside one night to roast marshmallows and make smores.
In Port Williams is a fantastic restaurant called "The Port" which we highly recommend. Their cioppino was excellent.
Lots of nice wineries nearby. You are literally right in the heart of Nova Scotia wine country. Lunch at Luckett Vineyards was beautiful and delicious.
By all means, if you stay here you should absolutely go down the street to the waterfront at low tide. The kids loved finding colorful rocks and seeing all the boats sitting on the bottom of the bay.
Home of the Eagle Watch during the winter months, snow shoeing and cross county skiing, located next to Cape Split world famous hiking trail on the Bay of Fundy, located on the North Mountain Bay Fundy in beautiful private county location. Many local wineries, cultural events and farm markets.
