About the property

House, 7 Bedrooms, 5.5 Baths, (Sleeps 13)

Great seven bedroom home in town and close to the North shore beaches. Central AC, gourmet kitchen, and off street parking for 2 cars. Outdoor shower. Perfect layout for multi-generational vacations.

First floor: enter into the hallway with the living room to the right, and half bath to the left. The living room has ample seating for large families and a game table for puzzles, cards, etc. Off the living room is the dining room with a large round table for conversation & gourmet kitchen with an island and a wet bar. There is a door to the deck off of the kitchen. The deck has teak dining furniture and a grill for easy summer dinners. Also off the kitchen is a den for lazy mornings or afternoons. Washer & Dryer on this floor as well.

Second floor consists of master bedroom with king bed, two walk-in closets, & a full private bath (rain shower head, and handheld shower head), one bedroom with two twin beds, one bedroom with a single twin, and a bedroom with bunk beds. There are two full baths on this floor in addition to the master bath. One bath has a shower, and the other has a tub/shower combo.

Third floor consists of two bedrooms one with a queen bed, one with two twin beds, a full bath (tub/shower) and a family room. This floor is perfect for young kids or teens to have a space for themselves. Our relatives with young kids also like to stay up there because the parents can sleep in the room with the Queen, and their kids can be right across the hall. They can all share the bathroom.

The lower level has a king bed with a private bath with jacuzzi tub, family room with TV has access door to back yard. This room is the most coveted room of all our guests. They say it is quiet and they get the best sleep ever! The lounge area is loved by the teens in our family. It is decorated with old English pub signs, and has very comfy furniture. They love to hang out down there and watch TV.

About The Owner

After becoming engaged on Nantucket and returning for our honeymoon, we decided that we wanted to return year after year and owning our own home was our goal. We have loved getting to know the island and its residents through the years, and introducing our family and friends to all Nantucket has to offer.

The Owner purchased this house in 2006

Why The Owner chose Nantucket

We wanted to be in town because we loved the ease of walking to shops, restaurants etc without the hassle of parking and moving your car every 2 hours. We are happy to drive or take bikes out to the beaches for the day or on one of the many nature trails. We love Nantucket for the casual elegance that it offers. The people are so friendly and the lifestyle is so laid back it makes it easy to relax and enjoy vacation!

What makes this house unique

We love being able to walk into town with ease. The Lilly Pond is out of our back door and that is a scenic park area that is a great cut through into town, or a fun place for kids to play. The Oldest House on the island is across the street. We love exploring the nature trails around the island, fishing, and going to the beach. One of our FAVORITE family activities though is walking into town each night after dinner for an ice cream cone!

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

I rented the house with friends for a September wedding weekend. Five couples stayed in the house, and everyone loved it. The location is convenient - walkable to town, a short cab rides to the ferries and airport. The house itself exceeded our expectations, and none of us wanted to leave!

This is a great house! We've have had the pleasure of going to this house for three years now and absolutely love it! Nantucket is a nice laid back vacation spot and this house is in the perfect location to enjoy it all. It's an easy walk into town and a nice bike ride everywhere else. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. A vacation we definitely look forward to!!

Nantucket Dream

This house is an absolute dream come true, the perfect spot for our girls weekend. We could walk into town for shopping, lunch and sightseeing. It was also near a beautiful bike path where I was able to run leisurely for miles through lovely scenery including a cranberry bog. The back yard is reminiscent of an English country garden and we spent quiet evenings on the deck overlooking it as well as active mornings of yoga on the grass. We took advantage of the resident lobster pot one evening and ate our crustaceans alfresco. Several of us enjoyed the historic tours of the town as well as a morning sail out in the harbor. The island is magical and the house ideal. I can't wait to go back.

Our family stayed here in June and loved the place. The home is beautifully maintained and decorated plus stocked with all the necessities. It is a large home so we had plenty of spaces to share yet still had private areas for those much needed down times (our boys espiecally loved the extra space upstairs to hang out.) An added bonus was off-street parking and a great little backyard. It also was just a short walk to town so we all had the freedom to do what we wanted to do whenever. Can't ask for much more in a vacation house. Nantucket is wonderful and we hope to be back here real soon.

Nantucket Dream

Wow! This house was fantastic and just perfect for our girls' weekend. It had lots of bedrooms and baths for each of us to have our own space. It was about a 5 min. walk into downtown for shopping and restaurants. Yet, it was far enough away to keep it nice and quiet. The house was furnished beautifully, and it felt very comfortable. The back yard had a lovely deck with a BBQ grill. It was our favorite place for our evening coctail and finding out what everyone did for the day. We girls had plenty of space in the yard for our morning "yoga" class to start the day together. There was plenty of activities to choose from to spend a relaxing long weekend together. Some girls went shopping, while others rented bikes. Many explored the historical homes, buildings, and museum on a walking tour. There is a shuttle to the different parts of the island, so a car is not really necessary. We rented a sailboat (crew included) for an afternoon sail. I would go back to this house and location in a heartbeat!
