What a fantastic stay!
We stayed here for a family wedding being held in Door County. Wow, just an awesome home. There were so many rooms and places to spread out. My boys loved the heated garage and playing pool while also enjoying the 80 acres outside and playing catch. The adults enjoyed the firepit in the evenings and the sprawling kitchen and dining areas as well. Thank you for letting us enjoy this beautiful log home.
Glad you enjoyed you stay! Thanks for the feedback.
Great weekend with the girls!
Beautiful property. So much space for 12 adults. We had a great weekend and loved the lodge. Thanks!!
Had a great time. Lots of space, great lay out.

Beautiful home...not well managed or maintained.
Let me start by saying that the cabin/house in itself is gorgeous. That's where the good part of this review ends. Things that were wrong and/or unacceptable: They only accept payment by check and the total cost is not listed in the posting, and they also mark things paid when they aren't and don't when they are- gets confusing as to what is and isn't paid when you look on VRBO to verify. Being told in a confirmation letter one week prior to arrival that we owed more money for "taxes" but never receiving a receipt for those taxes. No renter,s instructional binder with contact info, check out procedures, etc. The house was filthy. DEAD BUGS EVERYWHERE, I went room to room vacuuming up all the bugs and cobwebs after arriving. It smelled horrible. The owner gave me a can of air freshener to spray around the house. Very icy driveway and the owner would not give us salt or sand to put down, but pointed to a shovel as said we could try to bust it up to remove it. I tried calling the contact number in the confirmation letter 3 times. They never returned my calls. They had one key for us (a group of 10). Furniture is falling apart, the main sofa has a wooden board under the cushions to keep from collapsing. No extra toilet paper. We had to buy scrubby sponges for dishes. The windmill sounds like nails on chalkboard...all the time! We were told there was a working grill... maybe it does work, we don't know, there was no propane and we were not told to bring our own. No wifi. I waited to write this review because I feared they would find a bogus reason to keep my security deposit. We left the house cleaner than when we arrived, and yet today I was notified that they had rated my group. They gave us 1 star for 'cleanliness', 1 star for 'following house rules' and 3 stars for 'communication'. Of course they waited until my ability to review them had expired to send back my deposit and "rate" our group. I believe they gave us a poor rating because I hadn't written a review. They should have left well enough alone. I called VRBO today. They reopened this link for me. Save yourself some frustration and hassle, even if it costs a bit more...rent elsewhere. Unfortunately the photos I took when there, cannot be posted to this review, but I will be sending them to VRBO. I gave them 2 stars overall because the house itself is lovely. It would be a 5 star house if better maintained and the property owners weren't so difficult to work with. The owners get zero stars.
Beautiful Log Home
We loved our stay at his beautiful log home. There was plenty of room for the eight of us. We had a fire in the nice campfire area on one of the evenings. We loved the frogs that came out at night and attached themselves to the screens/windows. We also loved the privacy away from the downtown area. I would recommend this wonderful place to everybody.
Annual book club retreat. Lovely home, very comfortable for a group of 12 with different sleep habits. Property well maintained and outfitted with everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Easy access to lots of activities but very private. The rain prevented us from using the fire pit at night but we have plans to come back next year.
