Shasta Cascade Studio Rental Photos and Description

Studio, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Secluded and quiet loft above our detached garage allows the occupant to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Shasta and environs. We are located 1 mile above the town and just minutes from the downtown area. The loft includes a nice dining area, private deck, and vaulted ceilings with skylights. Sunsets from the deck are breathtaking. A small woodstove keeps you cozy during the winter months. Decorated with turn-of -the-century collectibles including a wooden sled, skis and snowshoes. Winter ski area just 15 minutes away, outstanding hiking and biking from the front door. Ice rink just minutes away (winter months only). Lake Siskiyou nearby with boating and swimming beach during the summer.

Why The Owner chose Shasta Cascade

The vacation rental is on our property, detached from the main house. It is very private.

What makes this studio unique

Mount Shasta is an incredibly peaceful and quiet place - the perfect place to relax and unwind, or go hiking or climbing - swim in one of the many lakes- go canoeing, boating or kayaking- ski, snowboard, toboggan or snowmobile, all within minutes from our loft. For golfers there are 3 courses nearby - Mount Shasta Resort (18 holes - also has a day spa), Lake Shastina Golf Resort (18 holes) and Weed Golf Course (9 holes). Fishermen are also spoiled for choice - the Upper Sacramento & McCloud Rivers offer world class fishing - then there are many mountain lakes, and the Pit, Trinity and Klamath Rivers nearby.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is a wonderful, peaceful and quiet location with a "kitchen table" view of Mt. Shasta. It's maybe a mile, if that, to downtown shopping and restaurants. Ditto on "the unit is clean and bright, tastefully decorated, with an awesome wood-burning stove and a fully functional kitchenette." This is an incredible base for any of your favorite outdoor activities, lakes, "links" or woods. My wife and I can't say enough nice things about the owners who are intelligent, attentive, helpful and accomodating without being intrusive. If you desire a private and peaceful outdoor setting for your home away from home, this is the place, trust me!

Absolutely Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I have stayed at multiple other places and this is by far the best. Greg and Carolyn are extremely nice and helpful. Greg even drove us into town to buy chains! The scenery around the loft is beautiful and you are surrounded by mountains with Mt. Shasta right outside the porch. The property was very well maintained and clean. There are plenty of great places to visit around as well. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely stay here again!

A Peaceful Escape

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in the loft this summer! Greg and Caroline were so kind and welcoming after our long journey. My husband and I were visiting for 10 days -- from the coast of North Carolina -- and the loft was a perfect fit. It was comfortable and quiet with beautiful views. We really enjoyed watching the stars and planets from the deck, as well as watching the deer, rabbits and birds. Caroline was a wealth of knowledge about the area hiking trails which was great because we did a lot of hiking while we were there. The kitchen was roomy enough to make many of our meals there and it was equipped with most anything you would need. We had to make a trip to the laundromat which was fine -- it's close, cheap, clean and it appeared to be open 24/7. There was no AC which I was concerned about before arriving (coming from a hot, humid climate) but it worked out fine. The weather was amazing. Warm and dry during the day and cool nights. It was so nice to be able to sleep with the windows open! We would definitely stay here again!

Best place in California!!

  • 5 of 5

Caroline and Greg's loft was absolutely top-notch. It was beautifully decorated, spacious, and had every comfort the three of us could want. The deck was an amazing bonus, and I saw more stars from their deck than I've ever seen in my life. A+ in every way!! Oh, and our hosts were really friendly, smart and knowledgeable. One of the best places I've ever stayed in the world!!

One of my favorite places

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to the Loft with a View. We love this place. It's quiet and is a perfect base for cycling in the area. The owners are super nice and we will definitely be returning again. The view of the starry sky from the skylights at night was an added bonus.

Beautiful loft

  • 5 of 5

A very comfortable loft, clean, comfy, with a wood burning stove that warms up the entire place. Incredible views of Shasta, the Eddies and Black Butte. At night, you can watch the stars from bed, looking up through the skylight. We were three adults and a dog, and even though it's a small space, it' very well designed, so that we did not feel cramped. We were welcomed with the (now famous) chocolate banana bread, which was delicious.

A Winner in Shasta

  • 5 of 5

We have been visiting this area two or three times a year for the past twenty years, and feel we finally found a spot where we can move in and relax for a week. This is a great location just outside of Shasta City, where you have privacy, and comfort. The studio does have a small kitchen, so don't expect to cook mega feasts. The bed was super comfortable and the decks afforded views of the beautiful surroundings. We usually stay in McCloud when visiting the area, but this is a better value, and will be our first choice when visiting the area next time. We stay in many VRBO properties around the world and highly recommend this location.
