Tranquil location, thoughtfully furnished, with a massive yard! Feels like an estate.

  • 5 of 5

Judy's home was ideally (for us) situated in the town of Woodstock but secluded by a private drive so you feel like you're in the country. The amount of property feels quite grand (at least to this city girl) -- you can see a cemetery and mountains in the distance, and the yard is big enough for a game of badminton or croquet. Sitting on the back porch one morning, I watched a young deer make its way across the vast lawn and directly past me into the neighboring yard.

The kitchen was thoughtfully supplied with cooking basics as well as tea, coffee, and even marshmallows for making s'mores. We booked in late September so we did indeed get the "best of both worlds," using the pool during the day (fun pool toys!) and the fireplace at night when it got cooler.

The beds and furniture were all comfortable and well-kept. The owner washes the couch slipcovers between visits, which is a nice touch, especially since it's pet-friendly.

There are wonderful restaurants nearby, and in good weather you have the bonus of being able to sit outside with your pooch. Plenty of hiking and outdoor activity options, too.

Great condition, great location

  • 5 of 5

Although too rainy and chilly for the pool, we loved staying here. Perfect location for mozying around downtown but secluded and private at the same time. The porch was put to good use. We would definitely stay again.

Truly the best of both worlds!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house and Woodstock! The house was very clean and comfortable. Perfect size for our family of 4- two adults and two young children. We really enjoyed relaxing on the covered porch taking in the beautiful views and watching deer in the yard. The pool is great and the kids loved it. We really loved that all of this quiet relaxation was just steps from Woodstock where we enjoyed great meals and shopping. All of our questions were answered promptly by our wonderful hosts. Great place- we look forward to coming back!

Great Spot in the Middle of Woodstock

  • 5 of 5

We had a very pleasant stay in Judy's home in Woodstock. It is very centrally located and walking distance to just about anything you would want to do in town. It is also very easy to get to many of the outdoor activities in the area and simply a great base to explore the region.

The home is very cozy and quiet with the added benefit of private parking off the street. The fireplace was a nice plus to come home to on a cold winter night.

Thanks again for helping us have a wonderful weekend in Woodstock!

Easy and nice

  • 5 of 5

Really loved the house and the location is amazing. Everything was easy, clean etc. the place isn't amazing for dogs as it's close to the road and not fenced in, but there's an amazing park for dogs (comeau) close by so wasn't really a problem. Would definitely recommend and come back.
