Situated on a 1.5 acre penisula, this 5-bedroom house has breathtaking views from every window. With glass walls on each end of the house, you will be awestruck by the spectacular sunrise over the Swan Mountains from the east, and the majestic sunset from the west. The architecture of this home enables you to be a participant in nature, not a spectator.
Newly remodeled with reclaimed barn wood and hand-picked stones, you will not want to leave the property. The kitchen is equipped with custom cabinets, stone counter tops and the latest appliances. Everyone will enjoy family meals around the hand-made, 9-foot kitchen table complete with tree knots still intact. Every bedroom is complete with down-filled pillows, cotton blankets from Germany, and flannel duvets. After a restful sleep in the master bedroom, wake to wondrous views of the Swan Mountains and a heated floor in the master bathroom. And, in case of a rain, the family room on the first floor is equipped with a 42' flat-screen TV.
Although the amenities will comfort you, this natural backdrop will create memories and experiences of a life time. As the eagles search for their morning breakfast, take the kayaks out and explore the wonders of this gorgeous alpine lake. Afterwards, set your chairs on the dock and swim in the warm, clean, spring-fed waters---no wetsuits required. Bike to Bigfork with the horse farms along the Swan River as your guide. As the sun begins to set, start your grill and let the kids try their hands at ping pong or badminton on the grassy green yard. And if you're here to fish, Echo Lake is known for its Large-Mouth Bass and Northern Pike.
This home can be enjoyed during the winter season too. Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and dog sledding can be enjoyed by all. And if you're here to downhill ski, Whitefish and Blacktail Mountains are only 45 minutes away.
This house has been a gift to our family and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for taking a look. We hope to hear from you.

It was love at first site. The moment we saw this property (which was in February 2004), there was no turning back. It is a unique location with views of nature that we have not experienced anywhere else. Living on the East Coast with four children, we are not able to spend our summers here like we did in the past. We hope to share the magic of this property with like-minded people who want their families to re-conncet with each other while experiencing the gift of nature.
The Owner purchased this house in 2004
You get the beauty of the mountains and the warm alpine lake with the comforts of fine dining, art and theater 3 miles away. Bigfork is home to the Bigfork Theater and many fine dining establishment. We also enjoy walking 1.5 miles to Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast along a biking path. And just down the street (less than a mile) is Swan Mountain Yoga located in a remodeled barn. This place really has it all.
This property exceeded our expectations and provided an ideal setting for our family vacation. The house is exquisite and well-appointed with everything you could possibly need. The property and views are simply amazing! We took full advantage of the kayaks, dock, fire pit, bikes and outdoor living spaces. You don't need to leave this comfortable oasis, but it is worth the short drive to Big Fork or to explore Glacier National Park. Everything we needed (gas, grocery, restaurants) was minutes away. We had a wonderful time and hope to return to this beautiful home!
Beautiful! Comfortable! Perfect spacious layout for a great vacation. Close to Bigfork and short drive to Glacier National Park. A day off from driving for my family of seven offered activities of kayaking, fishing, swimming and beautiful views from the decks. The owners offer great recommendations and check to make sure all is perfect for your vacation upon your arrival. Perfect!
The house is so perfect! The lake is perfect! The water is calm and relatively warm whereas flathead is cold and rough and only 10 minutes away! The big fork grocery store is also minutes away! Very enjoyable stay - LOVED the decks - the dock - the kitchen - and the lake! You won't regret a thing renting this beautiful lake home!
Our family has been vacationing at Echo Lake since the 1970's. This year we decided to rent something a little nicer - and it was worth every penny! 'The Point' has it all: a beautifully remodeled home with all the room and amenities you need, a kitchen/dining/front room area great for hanging out and playing games with the kids or enjoying a nice meal, and incredible views with balconies on both sides (we ate several meals on the covered patio and enjoyed the views). The house is fully stocked with just about anything you'd want and has a brand new dock to park your boat, lay in the sun, or let the kids jump off. We particularly enjoyed the fire-pit within the trees and surrounded by the lake: we did s'mores and hot dogs with the kids every other night. I highly recommend The Point - but don't take my week - we are booking for next year ASAP!
A beautiful craftsman home on a relatively warm western lake. Such a lovely location. Absolutely idyllic.
This was our fifth year that we have spent our vacation in the Flathead area and by far this property was the most enjoyable. Stunning views of the mountains and lake, easy access to hiking, fishing, Glacier National Park, tubing the Swan and so much more. The home was spacious and had all the comforts that we needed.
