We were staying with friends in Ilsa's and Nikos apartment in Antiparos and it was one of the best places we could imagine for relaxing and enjoyable holidays. The hosts are super friendly and always happy to help with any issues.
Apartment is located in a very quiet place yet very close to a main street. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea from a top terrace while having a coffee or glass of wine. This is certainly a accommodation we would recommend for a unforgettable Greek holidays.
We had a great stay in Antiparos at the home of Nikos & Ilse. It was a 6 night stop, in the middle of a 2 week honeymoon, during which we also stayed in Istanbul, Athens, & Santorini. Considering those locations, we decided to add a destination that we could relax and enjoy quietly. We knew nothing of Antiparos, but is turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for. There were tavernas and shops on the main street to keep us occupied in the evenings, and the beach was a short walk away for our lazy afternoons. Although there was just the 2 of us, we rented the larger of the apartments available, which easily could sleep 6. It also had a private rooftop deck, with wonderful views of the town and port. The best thing about this property is Nikos, who is extremely generous and personable. He stopped by often with fresh fruit & vegetables from his garden, and samples of his olives, olive oil, capers, jam, Raki, & Lemoncello. He made us feel extremely welcome in his home, and we would gladly stay here again, as I'm sure most of his guests do. The stay on Antiparos was the highlight of our honeymoon adventure!!!
Apartments are clean and well kept, decorated with a homely flair, mine with a sea view and large balcony. Mine had a double and a single bed, but he also has a large apartment suitable for larger families. If you like to eat in, the kitchenette is fully equipped. There is also a washing machine for guests' use (very handy). Location is about 100m from the main street and the port. Nikos is a very personable and generous host. He is a keen gardener, insisting I try his home-made preserves, olives, figs, dried tomatoes and excellent raki (locally called tsipouro) on arrival. If you need anything, he has a shop on the main street and can usually be found there. Antiparos is small, everyone knows everyone, and it has a pleasantly inclusive sense of community. A great many visitors go year after year, myself included. I considered I was lucky to get such good accommodation at short notice in June - I will be booking further ahead next year.
Having been a regular visitor to Antiparos for nearly 20 years, I was pleased to discover such a lovely apartment right in the centre of town. The hosts, Nikos and Ilse, were extremely accommodating and made us very welcome. Fit and finish is top notch, so if you're tired of the hotels and tavernas scene, and fancy somewhere more homely, then this is a great alternative.
Eine ganz wunderbare, warmherzige Atmosphäre im Haus. Ich werde das Feriendomizil weiter empfehlen !
Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und sauber.
Ein tolles Haus um ruhigen Urlaub zu machen.
Nikos and Elsie made our stay in Antiparos memorable! The room was very nice and cosy, the view from the little terrace was amazing, we already miss the atmosphere of the place and the kindness of our hosts. Hope to go back next year!

Antiparos, a typical, small Cyclades island of 35 m², has 1000 inhabitants that live in the main town in the northeast. Here you can find supermarkets, taverns, cafeterias, discos, bars and an open air cinema. Within the town the alleys are closed for traffic during the summer months for enabling even small children to play safely. The beaches are 57 km long on the whole and are mostly close to the town and easily available by foot. 800 m north of the town there is a well organised nude beach. If you go by bus, car or moped, you can reach two several settlements in the south, Soros and Ag. Georgios. From here the uninhabited island of Despotiko is available within 5 minutes by boat. Two years ago important archaeological findings were discovered here. Since that time excavations have taken place here. Furthermore there is a stalactite cave worthwhile seeing about 8 km from the town.
Other Activities: Kite-surfing.
