We rented this home for a guy's annual ski trip to Wolf Creek ski resort. There were six of us ages early 50's to early 60's. After years of traveling with these ski buddies, I have become the default accommodations coordinator, a role that I take seriously and go above and beyond to make sure I know exactly what we are getting.
The place was extremely welcoming from the moment we stepped inside with the thermostat-controlled gas fireplace cranking away. The home is BETTER than pictured and described and there were absolutely NO surprises whatsoever. The place is tastefully decorated, even better than shown in the pictures. The kitchen contained everything we needed to prepare our home cooked meals ... from pots, pans, plates, glasses, coffee mugs, utensils ... to beer and wine bottle openers! (Don't buy coffee filters! We left you plenty!)
I was concerned that the beds in the dorm room over the garage might be cots .. but NO ... they are EXTREMELY comfortable full mattresses with box springs. The temperature in all of the rooms was easy to keep at a perfect temperature.
Although there are ski-holders on the wall in the entryway, we opted to leave our gear in the garage each night so that we didn't have to worry about snow melt getting on the floor.
Tommy, the owner, was a pleasure to work with, as was his local representative. The payment and key process was easy. We had no problems whatsoever and will absolutely rent this home again.
We had a wonderful vacation at this log cabin home. The owner was prompt with all inquiries, the home was clean and well stocked. The furnishings and home goods were top notch. Even had a Kitchenaid.
The property was private even though it was in a neighborhood. Lots of room for two families and 2 small children. Nice roomy garage for our SUV and close enough to town for shopping.
Enjoyed ice skating rink in town that had a Olympic skater as instructor. Wolf Creek was just a 30 minute drive away. Hot springs in Pagosa was so relaxing that it became my favorite activity.
We had a wonderful ski vacation in Pagosa Springs and staying at the Taylor’s house made it even better than hoped for. There were 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 teenagers. The house took care of all of our needs with plenty of beds, cookware, towels, etc. We were there for a week and truly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend staying in this cabin anytime that you are skiing wolf creek or just staying in Pagosa.
We stayed at this house as a surprise reunion for my father and mother over Christmas. It was the first time in a long time that all four siblings and our parents got together for Christmas. The house was perfect for our sitting in front of the fire and just talking late into the night, catching up on everything. My parents could not have been happier and this house felt like a true home, not some hotel room. We only skied a couple of days in our week stay. Most of the time we were sitting out on the back deck drinking coffee or in front of the fire talking. We did eat out most dinners, but cooked a huge breakfast every morning. There were more than enough pots, pans, dishes to accomplish this. The beds were comfortable. There were no kids with us on this trip as we were all in our 50’s. I highly recommend this cabin for family trips.
This was our 4th year to rent this home during the Labor Day Week Holiday. We come here every year from Florida to attend the three day “Folk Music Fest.” There were eight of us this year and the house was again a perfect fit for our needs. Plenty of comfortable beds, more than enough pots and pans in the kitchen to make cooking our meals easy. We cooked every night we were there and ate breakfast in town. Sitting out on the back deck at night with a glass of wine gassing at the stars is truly and experience that has to be done at least once in your life. We arrived very late at night and as always, all of the lights were turned on in the house to greet us. The only problem that we had and I caused it was that I lost the key to the house while at Folk Fest. I called the property manager and he drove to the hot springs where we were relaxing and gave us a spare key. We have already booked the house again for next year. I cannot recommend this home enough.
There were ten of us who stayed for a week of skiing at Wolf Creek in March. This home had everything that we needed. It even had crock-pots where we started our meals before heading to the slopes and they were ready when we walked back in. The four teenagers in our group stayed in the Dorm room above the garage and enjoyed having a little buffer zone from all the adults. We ate most of our meals at the house and had all the pots & pans and dishes that we needed. A couple of nights we ate out and there were some great restaurants just a mile away. It was a Plus to be able to walk out the back door and cross-country ski on the golf course. We did this at night and it was a full moon. I can’t tell you how beautiful it was. We will never stay any place else when we are in Pagosa Springs. The beds gave me some of the best night’s sleep that I have had in years. Oh, and we were in three cars and there was concrete parking for all of our cars in the driveway.
