Our spacious and well-maintained home is centrally located in the Maritime Forest along the 4th fairway. It's a short ride by golf cart or bicycle to South Beach, the Maritime Market, the Marina and the BHI Club. Enjoy BHI's 14 miles of white sand beaches, thousands of acres of protected salt marshes, the expansive maritime forest, as well as optional membership to the BHI Club and/or Shoals Club during your stay!
Nestled under a canopy of live oak and palm trees, our home has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths in a reverse floor plan. Upon entering, the two story foyer will immediately give you a sense of the spaciousness of our home. Beyond the foyer are two king bedroom suites and, in between the king suites, a bedroom with two twin bunks. Each of the three bedrooms on the first floor has a walk out to a common screened porch that runs along the entire length of the rear of the house. A large third bathroom and a laundry room complete the first floor.
After climbing the foyer staircase, you'll be struck by the large open second floor that includes a great room /dining room with vaulted ceiling and lots of windows, and a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Off the kitchen is a hallway leading to a powder room and on to a queen bedroom suite with a walk out balcony. A walkout from the dining/great room leads to a screened deck that is flanked by open decks on both sides, one of which has a large gas grill. Enjoy dinner, drinks or relaxing quiet time from the second story decks or the screened porch below, while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the forest and views of the 4th fairway.
Our home is tastefully decorated, well-maintained and filled with amenities to make your stay enjoyable. All bedrooms have a flat screen TV with cable, Blu-ray player and large closet. The great room has a flat screen TV with digital cable, Blu-ray player, surround sound system, Wi-Fi, printer/scanner and plenty of books and games for your use.
The garage houses a six passenger and a four passenger golf cart, beach chairs, boogie boards, and plenty of adult and kids bikes for your use during your stay.
Our home, as well as the entire island, is dog friendly. You are welcome to bring up to two canine friends; a pet fee will apply.
Optional temporary membership to the Shoals Club and/or social membership to the Bald Head Island Club (provides access to the Aquatics Center, Fitness Center, tennis courts and dining/lounge areas) is available for your entire party for an additional charge.
Our house is absolutely non-smoking.
Summer rentals from June 8 to August 31 are weekly only beginning and ending on a Sunday.

We previously owned 17 Keepers Landing in Cape Fear Station. In late 2012, we sold 17 Keepers Landing and purchased 115 Stede Bonnet Wynd, centrally located in the Maritime forest.

Temporary membership to the Bald Head Island Club and/or the Shoals Club is available with your rental. The BHI Club offers tennis, swimming pool, croquet, a gym, restaurants, and children's activities. In addition to a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse with dining room and bar & lounge, the Shoals Club offers 20,000 square feet of outdoor porches, pools and decks. On the club’s South Beach side, a covered verandah opens onto a series of cascading terraces that descend to a spacious lap pool, hot tub and shallow children’s pool with fountains. The tiered approach allows parents lounging on the porch to watch their children swimming in the pool, while still enjoying views of the ocean. A private wooden boardwalk extends from the clubhouse directly to the island’s expansive South Beach. Towel service is offered at the pool, and chairs and umbrellas are available to take to the beach. The Sandbar Grille offers poolside food and beverage service.
A printer/fax/scanner and a WiFi broadband router are in the main house.

We've been vacationing at Bald Head since 1997 and typically stay in a different house each time. This house is easily the best stocked and one of the nicest overall. It has a good layout with plenty of room for eight, comforatble beds, nice covered porches, and an awesome kitchen. The six-seater cart, nice grill, and ping pong table were especially nice touches. After a hot day on the beach, it is so nice to have a retreat in the forest to cool off! We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great week!
We had such a wonderful trip. We stayed 9 days and had such a relaxing vacation. The house was gorgeous and so accomodating for our large family. Our grandchildren were able to explore the island as well as spending time at the beach & pool (BHI). Thank you so much for stocking the chairs. They were great at the beach. Loved the kitchen and dining room. We were also able to eat at the screened porch. We did run into alot of weddings which limited our evenings at the BHI club for dinners. We will definitely be back next year. I will be in touch!
You can tell from the way this house is furnished and stocked that the owners want their rental guests to enjoy their home as much as they do. Wonderful to have such a great supply of bicycles (complete with helmets), beach chairs, beach towels, and boogie boards as well as a kitchen stocked for people who plan to do a lot of cooking. Lots of thoughtful extras in the whole house beyond a typical rental home. Even a supply of dog bowls! Very convenient location too.
We have rented several houses over the years and this one has been the best! Not only do the owners make it easy to rent from them, the home is spectacular. Imagine walking into a five star hotel...They provide golf carts and toys to enjoy your time on the island and it's so convenient to everything (marina, store, and beach). The home is decorated (see photos) like a $2 million dollar house and they obviously take pride in their home. Book this one before it's too late.
We are familiar with BHI as we come every summer and this year we were looking for a house to accommodate two small families, but we also wanted to be near the market and closer to Shoal's. The house is gorgeous and very well appointed with beautiful furnishings and stocked with amenities. The top floor is very spacious including a large kitchen with a fabulous beverage refrigerator for the adults! The dining room and family room are open and very spacious with loads of fun games for all ages. Off of the kitchen is a fantastic bedroom which we used for the youngest child. It's far enough away that you can still enjoy yourself on the main floor. There outdoor space is wonderful on both levels with several decks and screen porches. The bottom floor has 3 beautiful bedrooms. We had 3 kids in the bunk room and they enjoyed the tv, gaming system and ping pong table! The two master suites were gorgeous and extremely comfortable. We had a fantastic vacation and would definitely stay again!!!!
As frequent renters at Bald Head Island, we've stayed at many homes. This home was the best equipped we have stayed in - excellent kitchen, great towels, plenty of bikes and beach chairs, and two golf carts in great shape.The layout with the 2 king size suites downstairs and a queen upstairs worked perfectly for us. The great room is very comfortable - and was well used for watching World Cup soccer games. Looking forward to our next visit!
