Booking Manager purchased this condo in 2001
My husband and I booked this property mostly based on all the positive reviews, and it did not disappoint! The location is amazing, the views were breathtaking and the owners/visitors to the other units were wonderful! From the nice cool air conditioning to the large, private terrace, this place is just perfect! Do not hesitate to book this wonderful rental!!
Exactly as advertised. Owners have taken pride in ownership and offering a slice of heaven for visistors with a everything you need. Views spectacular! Best snorkeling and diving right off the deck. Neighbors were all fun. Always looked forward to cocktail hour.
This is our 9th visit to Bonaire, and the first time we've stayed at Brian and Judi's condo. We've stayed in other units in BelAir, and this one is exceptional! We never needed to use the air conditioning in the main part of the condo, as the breezes were delightful. I agree with the other reviewer's comments; you will not be disappointed!
Loved our visit to Bonaire for the 8th time, and love Judi & Brian's condo. The condo has an excellent location (close to airport and town) with great snorkeling and diving right off the deck. Appreciate the good air conditioning in the bedrooms & living room (but only used it when we were home and if we needed it. Cooled down fast). Internet (wifi) was fast and reliable. The view is the BEST, always interesting and beautiful sunsets. Had most meals outside on the patio. Condo has been updated with new kitchen and baths. Thanks to our wonderful and attentive hosts Judie & Brian. We will rent from them again.
My two sisters and I selected this property because of the reviews, and we were not disappointed. Brian contacted me by phone and e-mail regularly, answered every question I thought to ask and gave me information on several that hadn't yet occurred to me. He set us up with Koos for truck rental - we loved having an unmarked vehicle for all the times the truck sat at dive/snorkel locations - windows open, as instructed.
The property itself - not huge, but plenty of room for the three of us (or for four, had my other sister joined us.) There was lots of closet space, and we loved having a cooler and towels we could take while snorkeling. The kitchen was well stocked. One note - with a computer you can get English directions for the clothes washer (directions otherwise in Dutch.) There is a grocery store (actually, three of them) close by. The main north/south road is directly outside, and because of the location, there is little traffic, and it's quite quiet. We rarely used the a/c (just the bedrooms at night)...but it was nice to have, had we wanted it. Pay attention to the banaquit that regularly flies by the very large, very comfortable patio, attached to the even larger open deck. And be nice to the iguanas - they're so much fun to watch! I snorkeled off the deck every day, finally finding my best location to the north of the ladder, heading toward the boat moored out in that direction. Our fave snorkel location? Karpata, up north. (Though we loved Wayaka II, as well.)
Other recommendations - the Buddy Dive location is just a few yards south, and the folks there gave us lots of useful info. Wil's restaurant, in town, has wonderful food. Less expensive and very good food can be found at Mi Banana. We mostly cooked for ourselves.
A final kudo to Brian - he has spent a fair amount of time and energy, ensuring that one of my sisters gets a camera returned that she had lost at the Tolo site. We would definitely return here - we loved the island, we loved the snorkeling, we loved Washington-Slaagbai National Park, we loved the flamingoes (we saw lots of them, up close.) Good spot for birding - and watch for all the wild donkeys and goats. The latter mostly keep an eye out for traffic - the former, not so much...Make sure you travel the entire island - there's something different to see everywhere you go.
We traveled to Bonaire for the first time on January 4, 2013. The condo is exactly as pictured on the VRBO website. The best part of the condo was the fantastic view of the ocean from the back porch and the ocean breeze in the living room area. We traveled with 2 young adult children and the condo was great with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed and the condo manager, Martin, was kind enough to purchase some breakfast food/drink and leave it in the fridge as we had a late arriving flight. Brian's contacts were great for truck rental (highly recommended if you're diving), dive shop (located about 50 feet walking distance) and a local hotel, Roomers, for food which was also within walking distance. The wireless worked well (a necessity with young adult children!) There is direct access to the ocean from the condo back deck; you can snorkel or dive right from here with a shower for rinsing your equipment after swimming. We also appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms; we didn't need the air conditioning in the common space because of the wonderful breeze. Bonaire is really low key; you can get by with a bathing suit, very casual clothing, flip flops, and sunscreen. We were there for only 5 days due to airline issues, but that didn't stop us from diving on 4 days and snorkeling on our last day in Washington Slagbaai National Park (an ecological reserve on the northwestern part of Bonaire-note the road is a dirt one and you need a truck or 4 wheel drive to get around if it has rained. The small beaches there were pristine and the flamingos in the reserve were interesting to watch.) We also drove to watch the kite surfers at Sorbon on the beach. Brian was very responsive to our questions and was more than willing to work with us regarding some last minute changes due to airline issues. This was a terrific condo and we would highly recommend Brian and Judi's dream for a very relaxing vacation rental.
