I choose to buy a vacation rental unit in the Juliet building because the view from the suite is like a dream in Heaven. The gorgeous Sun sets down over the Pacific Ocean horizon and under the majestic snow-capped mountains. Every day the picture is different and more beautiful. From the living-dining room and the bedroom there is a 280 degree panoramic views of the Inner Harbour and the Victoria City Centre. It is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. Once I saw it I wanted to share that beauty with the rest of the world.
There are two beautiful Juliet balconies - one located in the living-dining room and one in the bedroom overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a panoramic view of the Victoria Inner Harbour and City centre. Relax on the sofa in the dining room or dine or enjoy the magnificent sunset from the privacy of your own bedroom while inhaling the fresh summer breeze coming from the Pacific ocean through the French doors of your suite. Capture the magic and romance of the city. On Canada day you can view the glories fireworks from the privacy of your living-dining room or from the Juliet balcony.
Great location. Great rental. Great staff to deal with. Suitable for a family or a group. All amenities one could ask for in a vacation rental.
The location was great for touring beautiful downtown Victoria. If you're not used to city noise you had better rent elsewhere. We are country folk and were tuned to traffic noise even on the 11th floor! But you get used to it. The apartment is not large but suited our needs for the short stay. Well equipped and clean. Is starting to show its age (10years) in the kitchen as the cupboards have signs of wear. Otherwise quite modern. The smaller bedroom has no place for you to open luggage other than on the floor (you are asked not to put luggage on beds). Good security in building and quiet building. The rooftop deck is very nice. Rental people are easy to deal with and very friendly.
Stayed four nights. Awesome location with great views. Lot's of good restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Very clean and excellent security. Given the nice weather site was very warm and only has a room air conditioner so only 1 room can be kept cool. Windows open but traffic noise very loud so not an option when trying to sleep. Smoke alarm went off at 3:30 am 2nd night and again next afternoon. Did call and they left a new battery but did not replace nor did they test for issues. Once i changed battery it did not go ff again. Did not eat there so can't comment on kitchen.
Incredibly clean apartment with everything needed, including parking. With a fabulous location near EVERYTHING, it made fours days seem like more.
Four of us stayed in this lovely condo. Radie from Victoria Royal Vacations, was easy to work with and let us in with ease. It is in a perfect location but it is in the city so the one down side is there is street noise. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We didn't get to use the rooftop area because it was too cold and windy. We did look at it and it is beautiful
The first impression with the large glass windows is WOW but it wears off shortly when the details come to light. It became clear that this property is managed on a budget. We paid a premium rate for an average accommodation. The key fobs were partially functional, the manager seemed comfortable letting us fumble with them instead of making sure that everything went smoothly. It appeared that the battery was low (replace the batteries!) or only one worked in the elevators/parking area gates (replace the fobs!)
The photos are a bit misleading since the furniture is different and in some cases missing. The towels had stains on them. The master bedroom sheets were severely pilled so it was like having sand in the bed, not comfortable for the amount charged. We had to pack out our own trash even though we had to pay a considerable cleaning fee. I recommend that if you are interested in the location, find another condo in the same building as i doubt the attention to detail could be any worse.
The convertible bed was a joke, we had to book a last minute hotel room costing another $150/night because it is a child's cot, not a bed. It pulls out of an ottoman and is impossibly small/uncomfortable for an adult. We would not have chosen this property for our group if we knew. I am not sure how the math is done as it is advertised as sleeping 6. There is one full bed, one queen bed and a child's cot.
If you bring a car, it cannot be any longer than a small SUV, as the parking spot is shallow. The view is nice, except they are currently doing construction that starts very early in the morning and the building is large enough to diminish the view of the skyline. Not a good place for light sleepers at any time.
Overall, it is falsely advertised and i think you can get a lot more for your money in Victoria. We could have had much better accommodation for the same cost with a couple hotel rooms downtown, this was chosen because we needed to comfortably sleep 5. I would personally appreciate a credit from the owner but i know that is unlikely.
