Why The Owner chose Victoria

I choose to buy a vacation rental unit in the Juliet building because the view from the suite is like a dream in Heaven. The gorgeous Sun sets down over the Pacific Ocean horizon and under the majestic snow-capped mountains. Every day the picture is different and more beautiful. From the living-dining room and the bedroom there is a 280 degree panoramic views of the Inner Harbour and the Victoria City Centre. It is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. Once I saw it I wanted to share that beauty with the rest of the world.

What makes this condo unique

There are two beautiful Juliet balconies - one located in the living-dining room and one in the bedroom overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a panoramic view of the Victoria Inner Harbour and City centre. Relax on the sofa in the dining room or dine or enjoy the magnificent sunset from the privacy of your own bedroom while inhaling the fresh summer breeze coming from the Pacific ocean through the French doors of your suite. Capture the magic and romance of the city. On Canada day you can view the glories fireworks from the privacy of your living-dining room or from the Juliet balcony.

Great location, great view

  • 4 of 5

Four of us stayed in this lovely condo. Radie from Victoria Royal Vacations, was easy to work with and let us in with ease. It is in a perfect location but it is in the city so the one down side is there is street noise. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We didn't get to use the rooftop area because it was too cold and windy. We did look at it and it is beautiful

The first impression with the large glass windows is WOW but it wears off shortly when the details come to light. It became clear that this property is managed on a budget. We paid a premium rate for an average accommodation. The key fobs were partially functional, the manager seemed comfortable letting us fumble with them instead of making sure that everything went smoothly. It appeared that the battery was low (replace the batteries!) or only one worked in the elevators/parking area gates (replace the fobs!)

The photos are a bit misleading since the furniture is different and in some cases missing. The towels had stains on them. The master bedroom sheets were severely pilled so it was like having sand in the bed, not comfortable for the amount charged. We had to pack out our own trash even though we had to pay a considerable cleaning fee. I recommend that if you are interested in the location, find another condo in the same building as i doubt the attention to detail could be any worse.

The convertible bed was a joke, we had to book a last minute hotel room costing another $150/night because it is a child's cot, not a bed. It pulls out of an ottoman and is impossibly small/uncomfortable for an adult. We would not have chosen this property for our group if we knew. I am not sure how the math is done as it is advertised as sleeping 6. There is one full bed, one queen bed and a child's cot.

If you bring a car, it cannot be any longer than a small SUV, as the parking spot is shallow. The view is nice, except they are currently doing construction that starts very early in the morning and the building is large enough to diminish the view of the skyline. Not a good place for light sleepers at any time.

Overall, it is falsely advertised and i think you can get a lot more for your money in Victoria. We could have had much better accommodation for the same cost with a couple hotel rooms downtown, this was chosen because we needed to comfortably sleep 5. I would personally appreciate a credit from the owner but i know that is unlikely.

Exceeded our Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent ten glorious days in this suite in March 2015. This outstanding suite has stunning panoramic views (day and night) from every room. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances and plenty of dishes, glassware, etc.

The building is situated in a central downtown location, making many of the popular tourist sights (the Parliament Buildings, the museum, the inner harbour, etc.), and a myriad of restaurants and shops, within easy walking distance. We also appreciated the security within the building, and the secure underground parking, with provision for temporary visitor parking as well. The furniture was stylish, and the suite was very cozy and clean. We found the beds to be very comfortable, and loved the rain showers in the bathrooms.

We were welcomed upon our arrival and given a tour of the building, the rooftop terrace, and the suite itself. Radie was very receptive to questions, and attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend this suite.

Unforgettable Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I spend a night at this beautiful suite and we both loved it. It was my birthday present from him. The apartment was very well stocked and in close proximity to many locations. One of the best parts of our stay was having the chance to sit outside on the balcony, have some wine and enjoy the spectacular view, and mesmerizing city lights. It was the perfect romantic getaway.

The Victoria Royal Vacations’ agent who welcomed us was very warm, kind and knowledgeable about both the suite and city. She gave us great suggestions as to what places to visit and which restaurants to go to. That night I had made a reservation for both my boyfriend and I, and also a few of our friends for a dinner at the Milestones; which is a fantastic restaurant located at the Inner Harbour. Some other great places to visit are the Cactus Club Café, the Italian Café Paradiso and Earls; all located in downtown Victoria. We were within a walking- distance from the Inner Harbour and The Parliament Buildings, grocery store only a few minutes away, coffee shops and restaurants. The local Café Macchiato which serves delicious coffee and breakfast is also located at the bottom of the building.

I am very thankful for the wonderful and friendly service, and the great stay at this spectacular condo. We will most definitely be staying at the Juliet again and will most certainly recommend it to everyone we know.

Stunning Views of the Olympic Mountains

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this spectacular suite for a few days. It was my birthday present from my husband. Upon entering the Emperor's suite I was astonished from the amazing views coming through the floor to ceiling windows in every room. This accommodation was very well stocked. The modern and stylish furniture was well selected and balanced in all of the areas of the suite. Great place to call home away from home - comfortable, very welcoming and relaxing. This corner suite was very bright and warm located on the 11 th floor of the beautiful Juliet building with spectaculars panoramic views all around.

We were welcomed by one of the Victoria Royal Vacations Agents who was very pleasant and friendly. She met us at the front entrance of the Juliet building and helped us with our bags, gave us a detail tour of the building and all of the necessary information about the suite. The agent was very resourceful and went over and above to satisfy our requests. Radie was very knowledgeable about the City of Victoria and what kind of places to visit and made some excellent suggestions for local restaurants. We love the Il Terrazzo Italian Restaurant, The Local Kitchen and the Flying Otter Grill, awesome places to find local food. If you would like to surprise your half with something classy and sophisticated visit Vista 18 is the place to go. We love the location because we were within a walking-distance to everything. Just a few blocks away from the Inner Harbor and The Parliaments Buildings, grocery store on our block, coffee and restaurants. Amazing local coffee Macchiato located at the bottom of the building. Thank you very much for a great service and amazing time at this beautiful condo. We will be back and would recommend it highly to all of our friends and relatives.

Lovely place to stay!

I stayed in the Emperor Suite at the Juliet for a week and really enjoyed the location. It is extremely accessible and close to amenities downtown. Radie and her team at VRV were great to deal with and made our stay a seamless one! Will plan to stay there again the next time I visit Victoria.
